How to remove other people’s comments from your facebook posts

Want to keep the chatter down on your Facebook posts? Unfortunately, Facebook limits how and when you can prevent other users from commenting on your posts. We’ll show you where you can and how to do it.

What to Know About Disabling Facebook Comments

For the personal posts you publish on your Facebook timeline, you must set the visibility to “Public” to manage comments for them. Also, you can’t fully disable comments on your posts; you can only limit comments to friends or friends of friends.

However, in any Facebook group where you are an admin or a moderator, you can fully turn off comments for any post you want.

Table of Contents

  • Control Comments for Personal Facebook Posts
    • Manage Comments for All Public Posts
    • Manage Comments for Individual Public Posts
  • Turn Off Post Comments in a Facebook Group

How to Control Comments for Personal Facebook Posts

You can change who can comment on your posts for both all your public posts and the select public posts. We’ll show you how to manage the options for both post types.

Manage Comments for All Public Posts

To apply a single rule as to who can comment on all your public posts, change an account-level option in your Facebook account.

Start by opening a web browser on your Windows, Mac, Linux, or Chromebook computer and accessing the Facebook site. You can use the Facebook app on your iPhone, iPad, or Android phone as well.

At the top-right corner of the Facebook site, click the down-arrow icon and select “Settings & Privacy.”

From the “Settings & Privacy” menu, select “Settings.”

You’ll reach a “Public Post Filters and Tools” page. Here, next to the “Who Can Follow Me” option, click the drop-down menu and choose “Public.”

On the same “Public Post Filters and Tools” page, click the “Public Post Comments” option.

In the expanded “Public Post Comments” menu, click the drop-down menu and select who can comment on your public posts.

The available options are:

  • Public: Anyone, even those users who don’t follow you, can comment on your public posts.
  • Friends: Only your friends can post comments. If you tag someone in your post, that person and their friends can comment on your posts.
  • Friends of Friends: Your friends and their friends can comment on your posts.

Once you select an option, Facebook will automatically save your changes.

Manage Comments for Individual Public Posts

To manage who can comment on a specific post, access that post on Facebook.

At the top-right corner of the post, select the three dots.

How to remove other people’s comments from your facebook posts

From the three-dots menu, select “Who Can Comment on Your Post.”

A “Who Can Comment on Your Post” window will open. Here, select one of three options:

  • Public: This allows anyone to comment on your post.
  • Friends: This allows your Facebook friends to comment on your post.
  • Profiles and Pages You Mention: If you mention a Facebook profile or page in your post, that profile or page can comment on your post.

How to remove other people’s comments from your facebook posts

And that’s all there is to managing comment settings for your Facebook posts. If there are certain friends you don’t want commenting on your post, you may want to hide the post from them altogether.

Turn Off Post Comments in a Facebook Group

Unlike personal posts, you can fully disable comments on posts in a Facebook group. To do this, you must be an admin or a moderator in the group.

To use this option, access the post for which you want to turn off comments on Facebook.

At the top-right corner of the post, click the three dots.

In the three-dots menu, click “Turn Off Commenting.”

And immediately, Facebook will disable comments on that post. The existing comments will be retained, though.

These comment control options are really useful, as you can use them to turn off further discussions on particular posts. In case an unwanted comment has already made its way to your post, you can delete the comment in a few clicks or taps.

What are Reactions on Facebook?

How to remove other people’s comments from your facebook posts

When words fail you (or you simply aren’t in the mood to comment), reactions come to your rescue. These reactions employ emojis to help you convey how you feel without having to actually write it out. Facebook lets you react to both posts as well as comments in quite the same way. There is a fixed set of 7 emojis that you can choose from for your reaction; Like, Love, Care, Haha, Wow, Sad, and Angry. These emojis cannot be changed or replaced.

On posts, reactions appear below the post, while on comments they appear beside them. Reactions are visible to anyone who can react to them. So if you can react to a post, you can view the people that reacted to it too.

How to delete reactions on Facebook

While reactions are a really cool way to express your opinion, sometimes they aren’t on purpose. Or you could react with a wrong emoji on a post, and immediately regret it. But don’t worry! There is a way to delete that reaction. Read on to find out how.

You can’t continue to unlike a bunch of pages directly, so some patience could be needed once you start filtering through your Facebook likes.

If you would like to get rid of someone who likes your Facebook page

When you remove someone who likes your Page, they’ll not love it. confine your mind that Pages are public spaces, and other people you’ve removed can prefer to like your Page again.

You may also ban someone from your Page. once you ban someone from your Page, they’ll not love it. People you ban will still be ready to share content from your Page to other places on Facebook, but they’ll not be ready to publish to your Page, like or discuss your Page’s posts, message your Page or like your Page.

We recommend banning people that continually publish spam on your Page.

To remove someone who likes your Page:
1. Click Settings at the highest of your Page.
2. Click People and Other Pages within the left column.
3. Click to see the box next to the person you would like to get rid of.
4. Click and choose Remove from Page Likes.
5. Click Confirm.

If you would like to unlike Pages that you simply have liked

Here are fast and straightforward tricks to unlike many Facebook pages:
1. Log into your Facebook account and click on your name at the highest right-hand side of the page, next to “Home”.
2. Click on the “Activity Log” button. (A shortcut to travel on to the Activity Log page is by copy-pasting this URL into your browser window: https://www.facebook.com/YOUR-FB-NAME/allactivity. Substitute your actual Facebook name for YOUR-FB-NAME).
3. On the left-hand side of the screen, select the link for “Likes and Reactions” then select “Pages and Interests”. This displays a handy list of all of the pages you currently have liked.
4. Each page listed features a grey pencil symbol on the right-hand side of the screen. Clicking the pencil gives you many options, including “Hidden from Timeline” and “Unlike”.
5. you’ll choose “Hidden from Timeline” if you would like to still follow the page, but you do not want to ascertain updates from the page on your timeline.
6. Choose “Unlike” if you would like to prevent following the page (this is that the option you will need to settle on if you’re approaching the limit of the number of pages you’re allowed to possess “liked”).
7. Work your way down the list, removing pages you not need. Voila!

A few details why you need to actually care about your likes

In my last post I showed you ways to disable Facebook from “selling “your Facebook likes to pages. You need to take a glance at this feature, if you haven’t already.

Now that you’ve disabled that, you’re a minimum of safe that your friends won’t get spammed by someone, such as you did a couple of years ago but you’re still within the loop.

How so, you ask?
Ok, I’ll break it down for you. once you began to use Facebook everything seemed quite straightforward. You “friended” a lover otherwise you “liked” a page and from then on you saw 100% of these posts in your timeline. Not a drag, that’s exactly what you’d expect.

A few months / years later let’s check out this example again. Consistent with Facebook (in 2010) each user on the average is connected to about 80 pages/events/groups and to about 230 Friends (see here).

Your friends “like” stuff, they “friend” people, they post stuff on their wall, they upload pictures, they play games and pages do an equivalent.

It’s obvious that this leads to tons of stories for your timeline.

All these stories now battle for your attention. Facebook can’t show you all. it might be an excessive amount of for every day.

Important stuff like say: “Your brother is now engaged” would be pushed down too fast for you to be ready to see it because you’re not online every minute.

So, Facebook must decide whether something is more relevant to you than other stuff. How? The measure Facebook uses is widely called “Edge Rank “(Read details).

It basically looks at your activity on Facebook to make a decision who of your friends are more important to you. For example: You write tons of messages back and forth with a couple of people on Facebook. this is often an honest indicator for Facebook that these are friends you’re on the brink of at the instant.

Facebook even knows who you hang around with because you tag people on events like concerts or parties. Ok, thus far so good. You’d maybe say: this is often just fine; Facebook probably does a reasonably good job sorting that stuff.

This is where your likes come in:
The same rules apply to posts by pages. Facebook shows those posts only to fans that have previously interacted or liked stuff by that page.

The uncomfortable truth for pages: Only about 16 − 20% of their fans will see their posts. this is often thanks to the facts I described above.

But Facebook features a solution for those page-owners. you’ll pay money to succeed in more of your fans. As your friends won’t pay any money (at least not yet) to succeed in you, their posts get pushed down more likely by a sponsored-story (a page-post that’s backed with money).

Result

The more pages you’ve previously liked, the larger the prospect that your friend’s posts relevancy gets “bought down” by ad-driven Facebook-pages. That’s why you ought to remove likes from Facebook every now then

How to remove other people’s comments from your facebook posts

This is a pretty open-ended topic, so I’m going to talk about various forms of access you can give to different people on a Facebook page. Hopefully, one of them will answer the questions you may have. If there’s an access question you have that I haven’t covered, leave me a comment and I’ll see what I can do.

Making a Page Visible

When you first create a Facebook page, it’s by default hidden and unpublished. This is to prevent users from trying to access it before you’ve filled out information and made your first posts. It also helps keep users from posting on a feed before you’ve locked it down, or exploiting other loopholes in security before you set them.

Once you have finished setting up your page, you want to make it visible so that users can access it. In order to do so, all you need to do is click the “publish page” link at the top in the banner. If this banner doesn’t appear, you can click over to Settings. Under General, at the top, is Page Visibility. Simply click edit on this and make sure “unpublish page” is unchecked.

Pay attention to this settings menu; it will be useful for other steps as well.

Granting a User Page Special Permissions

There are eight roles a user can have when interacting with a page.

  • Banned. Banned users cannot view or interact with the page at all.
  • Not Following. The default state, users don’t who don’t follow or interact with your page have no special permissions.
  • Following. When a user follows you they gain extra permissions, typically the ability to check in or post to your page, if allowed.

The remaining five roles are administrative roles you can assign to a social media team.

  • Analyst. These users can see your Insights and can see who in the administration posted from the page account.
  • Advertiser. These users have the same permissions as analysts, but can also create and manage advertising.
  • Moderators. These users have the same permissions as advertisers, but can also remove and ban people, respond to posts, delete posts, and send messages as the page.
  • Editors. These users have the same permissions as moderators, but can also create and delete posts as the page, and can edit the page itself, including adding apps.
  • Administrators. These users have the same permissions as editors, but can also manage page roles and settings. By default, only the page owner is a moderator, though you can set additional moderators.

To set a page role, a user must either be connected to you as a personal user, or you have to know their email address. In the page settings menu, click the page roles section. Type in the person’s name or their email address. There will be a role drop-down, where you select one of the five administrative roles. Click to save the changes once you have selected the role.

Choosing Administrators for Facebook Groups

A group isn’t quite a page, but admins there might want to add additional admins to help manage the group. Unlike pages, there are no special roles; just user or admin. To add someone as an admin, find them in the user list. Click the gear beneath their name and choose “make admin.” Admins can remove other admins, including the group owner, to be cautious.

Allowing Users to Check In

If you want to allow users to check in to your page, you need to have a physical location. If you don’t have a physical location, you are unfortunately out of luck.

To allow check-ins, you need to put your physical address into the system. With that address saved, Facebook will give you the option of displaying a map, as well as star reviews and check-ins. Enable this option. There is no way to remove reviews while allowing check-ins, or vice versa.

Allowing Users to Post to Walls

Another user access consideration is whether or not you want users to be able to post to your page news feed. Most businesses turn this off, because they want their feed to be a stream of their own messaging. By disabling this option, pages don’t have to worry about spam or harassment on their walls.

If you would rather allow your Facebook page news feed to operate as a public forum or as a customer service channel, you can enable posting to the timeline. Go into your page settings and click Posting Ability. The two options allow you to enable or disable user posts. When enabled, you can choose whether to allow picture and video posts.

You can also choose to review posts before they are made, so you can keep spam down while still allowing user posts. Set this option and save your changes.

Creating Collaborative Ads Groups

If you are a social media management agency, or you otherwise are managing the advertising of multiple pages, it can be a huge pain to log in and log out of multiple accounts every day. Facebook’s solution is to allow you to create an Account Group. These groups are essentially allowing ads access to multiple accounts from one singular account. In other words, your primary account can manage the ads for all of the ads accounts at once.

Allowing Others to Access Ads Accounts

If you want to allow someone else to manage your advertising for your page, as a page admin, go to your ad account settings. Once there, click to add a user to your ads account. Enter their name or email address, the same way you would for a page administration role. Choose their access level and submit the changes. That user will be notified of their new access.

FACEBOOK is constantly evolving and changing the way users can interact and communicate with friends and family. One of the more recent changes to Facebook’s website is the ability to hide a comment in one of the updates on your Timeline. What happens when you hide a comment on Facebook?

Facebook is one of the best social media websites for catching up with friends and family.

It’s helped people to connect during the coronavirus lockdown, as well as reconnect with long-lost friends.

But, unfortunately, some people may be using Facebook for spreading hate or personal attacks.

As a result, Facebook has now given its users the chance to hide other peoples’ comments.

The author and their friends can continue to add further comments on the thread, but nobody else will be able to see it.

You’ll also stop receiving notifications about the thread, meaning that, for all intents and purposes, it no longer exists.

Facebook Changed This. Here are the new directions

The other day I noticed an error in a post on Facebook by someone and pointed it out (because I knew the person would care.) She wrote me back in frustration informing me she couldn’t figure out how to delete the post. I was surprised until I realized, Facebook has hidden how to delete a post. It seemed obvious to me, but I am constantly on Facebook, so no wonder I could find it, but my colleague, who is almost never on Facebook, could not. I also realized the same problem exists on Twitter.

Recognizing that if my colleague could not figure out how to delete a post on Facebook there have to be other people with the same problem, I figured I would take a moment and write a post on the subject. I will write a separate post on Twitter.

No Obvious Way to Delete a Post

If we look at a typical Facebook post on the Timeline, there is absolutely no obvious way to delete the post.

Just hover your mouse to the right.

However, if you move your mouse to the top right side of the post, you will see the option you need to remove it.

Click on the X and the option to delete the post will appear.

Click on delete and you are all set.

You are technically correct, it doesn’t remove the emoji. But it does hides them so that your ads stand a chance of getting engagement from new people that otherwise would be turned off by the negative emoji and just scroll to the next post in their newsfeed.

Try to run an ad that has negative/angry emojis and run the exact same ad but hide the negative emoji, I’m confident the one not showing the negative ones will outperform the other one most of the time.

How to hide a comment on Facebook

If you really don’t want somebody’s comment appearing on one of your Facebook posts, you can easily hide it.

Find the comment that you want to get rid of, and click the three dots on the right-hand side.

Scroll down to ‘Hide comment’, which is accompanied by a cross inside a grey box.

Simply hit the button, and the comment will become slightly more transparent.

The comment will develop a grey overtone, which means that it’s currently hidden to the rest of the world.

The only people that will be able to see the comment are you, the person that posted the comment, and their friends.

The author and their friends can continue to add further comments on the thread, but nobody else will be able to see it.

You’ll also stop receiving notifications about the thread, meaning that, for all intents and purposes, it no longer exists.

Rest assured, however, that the comment’s author will have no idea that you’ve chosen to hide their contribution.

Therefore you won’t be inundated with further annoying comments that you’ll want to hide.

If you choose to return the comment to its place on your post, or if you accidentally hid it, there’s a simple antidote.

Click on the three dots once again, and scroll down to ‘Unhide comment’. Easy.

I got myself into some git-funk here. I need to git-fu myself out of this.

I joined a new team and created a feature branch:

    git checkout -b feature_branch

Made some changes and then committed/pushed them up to the branch.

Someone left a review on my PR, so I made the changes, and then checked out to master and rebased my branch before committing/pushing again to that branch:

Once I did this, I noticed my PR (on Github) picked up someone elses’ commit. I was then informed that the typical method within this new team is to checkout to master and merge back into my branch INSTEAD of rebasing.

Here is the funky part now — I started mucking around with git reset –hard and picked the commit I wanted that was before that commit from someone else.

All was well, or so I thought. I then pushed that up and it seemed to have removed that other persons’ commit from my PR.

I checked this morning and now there are a bunch of other commits from someone else that got picked up.

So now I’m in this weird state. I look at my PR and there are almost 30 commits (with 6 from different people). The actual diff (files changed) are only the files that I touched, which is good, but the history itself looks ridiculous.

What’s the best approach to clean this up? Everything is suggesting to use git rebase , however, I was advised not to use rebase.

Unfortunately, I need to keep this branch. What’s the best way to clean it up and remove all the other commits except only mine? Just reset it completely and then cherry-pick the changes back onto the branch?

EDIT: Here’s an example of what the history looks like:

By default, in Microsoft Teams, you have the ability to delete your own messages but not other people’s. That’s a good thing unless you are an administrator or owner of the Team. There are plenty of cases where a chat message from another member of the Team could be considered inappropriate and needs to be removed by an administrator. Problem is that, generally, even an administrator cannot delete another person’s chat message.

This behaviour can be changed in the Teams administration portal by making changes to the appropriate Messaging policy.

How to remove other people’s comments from your facebook posts

You’ll firstly need to navigate to the Teams administration center which you can access via the Microsoft 365 admin center. You can also get there directly by navigating to:

You then need to select Messaging policies from the items on the left as shown above.

Then, on the right, you will see the option to Manage policies, which you should select.

Most tenants should only have a single policy as shown above, but if not you’ll need to select the appropriate policy you wish to change. Simply click on the policy name you wish to change. Here, I’ve selected the only one available Global (Org-wide default).

How to remove other people’s comments from your facebook posts

Ensure the option Owners can delete sent messages is set on On as shown above.

You’ll now need to wait for that policy to be updated to your Team. It will take a little while so don’t expect the changes to be seen immediately. Not that I have tried to see whether using PowerShell to force the changes works any quick but if you find it does, let me know. The command you want if you plan to user PowerShell to make this change is:

    set-csteamsmessagingpolicy –allowownerdeletemessage $true

Once the changes in the policy have been pushed out to the Team, any owner of that Team will now be able to delete any chat message from any user as simply as they can their own messages.

How to remove other people’s comments from your facebook posts

This ability will hopefully make life a little easier for Team owners who need to ensure compliance and appropriate behaviour in their Teams.

As you might have noticed, Twitter sometimes forces the display of Retweets and likes, also known as favorites, and even combines the two. Understandably, this can easily get on some users’ nerves as this is stopping them from watching the content they are using Twitter for.

If you’re among them, you’re probably thinking about how to reduce or completely hide these, and we can’t blame you. Read on to see what you can do.

    Use AdBlock Plus for Firefox

Ad blockers for browsers are more powerful now than ever. They can block ads in many shapes and forms. They can even block sponsored Tweets as these can really ruin the vibe by appearing everywhere. Even worse, certain Tweet likes also fall under this category.

One way to fight this is by using the AdBlock Plus Firefox plugin that has the Element Hiding Helper function. By letting you filter out an area of a Tweet, it helps you get rid of not just sponsored Tweets, but also the “Who to follow,” “Analytics,” “Moments”, and many other panels.

The only issue with this method is that it tends to hide others’ Tweets on your profile, as well as Tweets that you’ve posted that contain images. This means that it gets increasingly easy to miss others’ replies to your posts, so if you want to give this method a try, don’t forget to check for tweets and comments with photos occasionally.

    Mute Phrases

Twitter has a useful option called Muted keywords. What it does is self-explanatory, but did you know that you can use it to hide suggested Tweets and menus such as “Who to Follow?”

To do this, just go to this link to access this Twitter’s setting directly, or tap the gear icon on the Twitter mobile app to enter the Settings. The most important phrases you should add to the list include:

How to remove other people’s comments from your facebook posts

    Say No to Liked Tweets

All Tweets have additional options in their top-right corners that can be accessed by clicking or tapping on the Arrow icon. On certain app versions and web browsers, there should be an option called “I don’t like this tweet.”

If it’s not there, look for “Show me less of this.” If you do this enough times, these Tweets will stop appearing because you’ve directly let Twitter know that you don’t want them on your timeline. That’s what makes this a good solution despite the time it takes for Twitter to learn its lesson.

    Disable the Algorithm

Twitter has an algorithm that shows you the Tweets it believes you’ll like on top for a long time. Disabling this option also helps with removing the liked tweets.

    1. Log in to Twitter and go to the Settings.
    2. Go to the “Privacy and safety” tab.
    3. Scroll down until you see the “Content” section.
    4. Under “Timeline,” there’s a single option called “Show the best Tweets first.” Disable it by removing the tick from the checkbox.

    Turn off All Retweets

While not about likes, this option might give you some peace when it comes to avoiding Tweets from strangers. If you’re using Google Chrome, you can turn off all Retweets manually with relative ease. However, this will take some time, especially if you follow lots of people. This is a workaround method, after all, as Twitter doesn’t let you do this.

    1. Open the list of people you follow. Scrolling all the way down further expands the list. Keep on scrolling until the full list is shown. Alternatively, you can just keep pressing the “End” button on your keyboard.
    2. Click on the three dots in Chrome’s top-right corner to open the main menu. Go to “More tools.” From there, choose “Developer tools.” You can also press Ctrl + Shift + I.
At the bottom of the code, add the following line and press Enter: a=Array.prototype.slice.call(document.querySelectorAll(“div.ProfileCard-content div.dropdown”));a.forEach(function(e) )

How to remove other people’s comments from your facebook posts

Note: You’ll have to repeat this for each of your new follows.

    Hiding Your Likes from Others

Unfortunately, you can only partially hide your Tweets. The only known way to do so is to make your profile private and the only persons affected this way are those that aren’t following you already. To make your profile private, you need to enable the “Protect my Tweets” option:

How to remove other people’s comments from your facebook posts

    1. Log in to Twitter and click on your profile icon in the top-right corner of the home screen. Choose “Settings.”
    2. Go to the “Security and privacy” tab.
    3. Scroll down to find the “Privacy” section and tick the box next to the “Protect my Tweets” option.
    4. Click on the “Save changes” button.

How to remove other people’s comments from your facebook posts

Note: If you don’t do this, your profile will stay public. That said, if you want to make it public again, you should uncheck the “Protect my Tweets” checkbox.

When your profile is private, as already mentioned, other users need to start following you before being able to access your liked Tweets.

Remove a Tweet from Your Favorites

Although not the most useful method, you can simply “unlike” or “unfavorite” a Tweet if you really don’t want others to see that you’ve liked it.

    1. Log in to Twitter and go to your profile page.
    2. Click on “Favorites.”
    3. Look for the Tweet that you want to remove from your favorites list. Hover over it with your cursor and click on the “Favorited” link. It’s located next to the tweet.
    4. To make sure you’ve “unfavorited” the Tweet, refresh the page. The action was successful if it’s not on the list anymore.

    Finding Peace

The best way to escape the social network craze is to just stop using them, but since that’s not very easy to do, but hopefully this is a good alternative. If you find security on Twitter very important, be sure to make your profile private.

What’s your stand on social media addiction? Do you think its effect can be overwhelming on people? Let us know in the comments below.

Facebook reviews are a critical element of Facebook business pages . These pages allow consumers to give small businesses and local businesses 1- to 5-star reviews, with or without an added explanation or customer review.

Of course, no business owner wants bad Facebook reviews, which is why one of the first questions that may come to mind if negative comments appear is: How can I remove reviews from Facebook?

If you’re a business owner or manager, maybe you’ve noticed negative reviews or bad reviews on your Facebook page. If you want to manage your social media reputation, you’ve come to the right place.

We’ll explain why online reviews matter and the options you have for removing bad reviews on Facebook. Let’s dive into how to handle negative Facebook reviews and your broader online reputation.

    Can I remove Facebook reviews?

Yes, you can remove Facebook reviews from your page by eliminating the reviews section from your Facebook page altogether. See our guidelines below on how to do this in the “How to remove the review section from Facebook.”

That said, individual Facebook reviews cannot be removed. According to Facebook , you can report reviews with comments that don’t adhere to Facebook’s Community Standards. However, reviews that only include a star rating without customer feedback can’t be reported.

Individuals who write business reviews on Facebook can delete their own Facebook reviews at any time. Businesses themselves, however, cannot edit reviews .

If you don’t want bad reviews with profanity showing up on your business page on Facebook, you can block comments that include swear words by turning on the profanity filter .

    Should I remove Facebook reviews?

To remove all negative reviews from your Facebook page, you have to remove the entire reviews section from your Facebook page.

Removing the Facebook reviews section from your Facebook business page might seem like a good option for a Facebook account with numerous negative reviews. However, keep in mind that if you remove your online reviews section, you also won’t have any positive reviews to show on your Facebook account.

We don’t recommend doing this since having online reviews (positive reviews and bad reviews) still increases your chances of landing new customers.

Nevertheless, here are the steps to remove the reviews section from your Facebook business page.

How to remove the review section from Facebook

To disable Facebook page reviews, follow these step-by-step instructions:

    1. Visit your Facebook News Feed and click on “Pages” in the left-hand side menu.
    2. Go to your Facebook page.
    3. Click the “Page Settings” button on the bottom left-hand side of your Facebook page.
    4. Click “Templates and Tabs” from the left-hand side menu options.
    5. Click to the right of “Reviews” to turn the reviews tab off and this will remove this section from your page.

How to remove other people’s comments from your facebook posts

Remember that disabling your reviews does not delete Facebook reviews; it just hides them.

If you decide to enable your reviews again, the same Facebook reviews will come back up.

How to delete negative or fake Facebook reviews

Chances are, you don’t want to remove all the reviews from your Facebook page. After all, you probably have some great reviews as well. So you may be wondering how to only delete the bad or fake reviews.

Unfortunately, you cannot delete reviews from Facebook individually, even false reviews.

However, you can report reviews that don’t meet Facebook’s Community Standards , including objectionable content like profanity or hate speech.

How to report a Facebook review

    1. Go to one of your Facebook reviews and click three dots in the top right corner of the Facebook comment you want to report.
    2. Click “Find support or report recommendation.”
    3. Follow the next step-by-step instructions that appear on the screen.

How to remove other people’s comments from your facebook posts

Why are Facebook reviews important for small businesses?

Public sentiment can have a significant impact on your company’s success. In fact, 90% of customers read customer feedback from online reviews before trusting a business. Online reviews can strongly influence purchase decisions. Plus, customers spend about 31% more money if a company has positive reviews.

    How to manage Facebook reviews

So, you can’t just remove bad reviews and reporting Facebook reviews might not solve your problem. What to do? Your best bet for managing your online reputation on the social media platform is to learn how to appropriately respond to Facebook reviews. Follow these steps:

    1. Engage with positive feedback . At the very least, you should “like” your positive Facebook reviews.
    2. Take things a step further by thanking reviewers for their positive feedback. Doing so will encourage them to continue speaking highly of you.
    3. Use thesepositive review response templates if you’re unsure how to engage with positive customer feedback.
    4. Don’t forget to respond to negative reviews. It’s best to address them rather than give the impression you don’t care.
    5. Handle negative Facebook reviews with class and honesty. Apologize to customers who share bad reviews. It may be best to admit fault. Where appropriate, give your side of the story. Even though you can’t remove negative Facebook reviews, you can still influence the narrative with a thoughtful response.
    6. Use ournegative review response templates to navigate negative comments with ease and grace.
    7. Sponsor your positive Facebook reviews . Broadly has a unique service that helps turn positive reviews into clickable Facebook ads, amplifying those stellar results you are promising. Let your best reviews outshine the few bad eggs.

    November 24, 2019 Jean

(Originally published 2013, updated November 2019).

A relative of mine asked me, “What can I do if I don’t want to see someone’s updates on Facebook, but I’d rather not unfriend or block them?”

Here’s how to make it seem like you have unfriended a person. It’s a two-step process. First, you will prevent their updates from showing up on your news feed (the page you see when you first log into Facebook). Then, you can prevent them from seeing your updates.

There are two ways to accomplish this:

    1. The easiest way is to add someone to your Acquaintances (Read instruction here for using the Acquaintances list for distancing yourself from a FB friend)
    2. The other method is to un-follow a person and then add them to your Restricted Read on if you’d like to try this method.

Of course you could always go ahead and un-friend someone – they will not be notified. But it could create an awkward situation, depending on the person and your relationship. So it’s nice to have this option.

Prevent a friend’s updates from showing up on your Facebook Feed:

    1. Go to your friend’s timeline page by clicking on their name. The “Following” button will be checked, as shown, meaning that you currently follow the person (i.e. you see their updates on your News Feed). Click the “Unfollow” option to unfollow them.

    2. The button will change to the word “Follow”.

    1. In the Facebook app, first go to the friend’s timeline. Click the small “Friends” button and you’ll see the following choices – Following, Block, and Friends. Click “Friends”.

    2. You’ll now have the choices to Unfriend, Take a Break, Unfollow, or Edit Friends list. Click “Unfollow”.

You should no longer see this friend’s updates on your News Feed. You can still see their updates if you visit their profile/timeline page.

Now that you have limited what you’ll see about this person, go ahead and limit what they’ll see about you.

Add your friend to your “Restricted” list to prevent them from seeing what you share

Facebook provides a few built-in “Lists” for categorizing your friends. You can use these lists to control who you share with. One of the lists is called “Restricted”. When you add someone to your “Restricted” list they will only be able to see your “Public” content or posts of yours that you tag them in”. It works like this:

    • Share an update with “Friends” , people in your “Restricted” list won’t see it.
    • Share an update with “Everyone” , people in your “Restricted list will see it.
    • Tag your friend in an update, they will see it even if they are in your “Restricted” list.

    1. Hover over the Friends button again and this time choose “Add to another list”.

    2. Select “Restricted”.

    3. If this person was in another list, select that list to un-check and remove them from the list.

    1. Click on the “Friends” button again. Choose Friends, and then “Edit Friend Lists” (you might not see this, in which case just continue).

    2. You’ll see some possible lists – I have a few custom lists, your screen might look a bit different. Scroll down and select “Restricted”.

    3. If this person was in another list, select that list to un-check and remove them from the list.

    Is this fool-proof?

No. There are a few other settings that could expose some of your information to the friend you are trying to ditch.

For example, if you have a mutual friend in common, and that mutual friend tags you both, then your friend might see that you’ve been tagged.

Or, if you and your “frenemy” both follow a public page on Facebook like…uh…good example here….okay let’s say you both follow that Star Trek guy George Takei, and you click “Like” on George’s funny picture, then your friend could potentially see that you’ve liked it. That’s because she is also a fan of George and George’s post are available to “Everyone”.

So while there is no guarantee of total erasure of this person from your Facebook life, this is about as close as you can come to unfriending or blocking a person.

The more people I talk to, the more it sounds like just about everyone is sick of Facebook. The social aspect of Facebook is great, but then again, so is just, you know. being social, in general. We’ve all put time and effort into connecting with all the people we have, so we stick around on Facebook and deal with the things we don’t like about it — namely, things like game and app notifications that you couldn’t care less about, and receiving them over and over and over and over to boot.

If you’re done with the whole rigmarole of trying to figure out how to nix those annoying notifications, you’ll be delighted to know there are a couple of ways you can go about it. The first method is something you can exercise as soon as you see a notification from an app/game you want to block. The second method is a way for you to quickly scan through a whole bunch of past notifications and go on an app/game-blocking frenzy. Sound like joyful, delicious fun? Indeed.

So, without further ado, here’s what you need to do to start slaying those life-draining notifications:

    Method 1: Individual notification extermination

1: Click your “notifications” globe in the upper-left-hand corner of Facebook. When you see the app/game notification you’d like to block, hover over it and an ‘X’ will appear. Click that ‘X’.

2: After clicking the ‘X’, you’ll be given a choice to either turn off notifications from that app/game, or keep them on. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to click the “Turn Off” button.

3: You should now see a message stating that you’ll no longer receive notifications from that particular app/game. BOOM: that app/game is done-zo with ever sending notifications your way.

    Method 2: Mass notification extermination

1: Click your “notifications” globe in the upper-left-hand corner of Facebook. Next, click “See All” to be taken to a page showing a whole slew of your recent notifications.

2: You can quickly identify game/app requests by looking at the icons on the left-hand side (I’ve outlined the “Words with Friends” icon as an example). Once you identify an app/game notification you’d like to block, simply hover over it and an ‘X’ will appear. Click that ‘X’, then click “Turn Off.” Achievement unlocked!

    Conclusion

As you can see, it takes a bit of maintenance to keep up with blocking app/game notifications, but at least you won’t have to see FarmVille or CityVille 2 notifications for the 80 bajillionth time now. Relish this moment, my friends, for you have been annoyed by notifications for far too long! If you’ve yet to nix any of those app/game notifications you’ve so hated, then I recommend starting with method 2. It will allow you to quickly go down through a ton of notifications and wreak pure app/game-blocking carnage! Afterward, every time you get a notification for a new app/game you’re not interested in, use method 1. That should set you up for the long haul.

So, with that said, if you’d be so kind, please pass this information along to your fellow Facebook friends, family, fans, and followers alike (I can’t believe all of those words started with ‘f’! Talk about grammar geek heaven!). I’ve heard from far too many people who want to disable these notifications, but haven’t been able to figure out how; so, chances are, you know a person or 5 who would find you to be the coolest person on the face of the Facebook for showing them how to do this.

My friend and I chatted some personal information between us in a group chat being absent minded. So now we are stuck. We need to delete those messages permanently. So is it possible to delete the messages permanently so that no other group member can see the chats? None of us are admin of the group. So if we request the admin, can he do that (he is a trustworthy person)? Does he have this authority?

I am sorry to say so, but it is absolutely not possible to do that at all.

When you delete the conversation from your account, it will just go out of your view for ever, but will be available to be read by everyone else.

If you are the creator of the group chat, you can got to your group chat conversation tab ( https://www.facebook.com/messages/

) and then got to the Actions drop down, select the Delete Messages. option, check (tick) the messages in the chat box that you want to delete & then click the Delete button. Then only those messages that you had selected will be deleted from the group chat & rest of the conversation between all members in the group chat will remain.

I was just in the same situation. This is how we solved the problem:

Even though I deleted the messages and the other people hadn’t seen them yet, they were still appearing on the chat for the one friend that had seen it. He then reported that individual message as spam under the option:

Report individual messages from a hacked friend as spam and delete them.

    Message was gone.

How to remove other people’s comments from your facebook posts

Just go to group and select actions –>delete message. Select the message you want to delete.

(this only deletes the message from your view, other people in the conversation can still see it on theirs)

How to remove other people’s comments from your facebook posts

Frequently someone is added as an Admin on a Facebook page in order to some work, such as add a custom landing page. Once the work is complete, however, the person no longer needs to be an admin and can be removed.

I recommend removing all admins that are not required as it is more secure to have fewer people with full access to the page.

Recently I was asked how to an admin can be removed so here I will provide the instructions.

    Instructions

    1. To remove an admin, you need to be an admin. Make sure that you have admin access to the page or these instructions won’t work.
    2. If there is only one page admin, don’t remove it. If you remove the only admin to the page, then no one will have access to edit it or make updates.
    3. Go to the page.
    4. Click on the Edit Page button.
    5. Go to Manage Admins on the left
    6. Click on the Remove Link to the right of the individual’s name and photo.

Again, I think it’s a good idea to remove temporary admins after they no longer need access. I am an admin on a lot of pages. On some of them I do ongoing work so it makes sense that I retain admin access. On others, however, I did a little work and was never removed as an admin even after reminding the client to remove my access. I suppose some people are very trusting. 😉

How to remove other people’s comments from your facebook posts

How many times have you sent a message on Facebook Messenger that you immediately wanted to take back? Most email services have an unsend option, as well as Instagram Direct, and Messenger has caught on to this convenience with a take-back button for any chat you’re in — even in groups. Plus, you can also remove other people’s messages.

The “Remove” feature in Messenger was first implemented for iPhone and Android phones on Feb. 5, 2019. Before then, the only way you could do such a thing was inside Secret Conversations. Now, deleting messages is a straightforward task, maybe even easier than in other apps.

    How Messenger’s Unsend Feature Works

An important thing to know is that your messages will not send on a timed delay, similar to how email services work, which would allow you to stop the message from being sent in the first place. Instead, messages still fire off as soon as submit them, and recipients will receive them just as they always have.

If any of the other users have notifications set on their devices, they’ll still see those when you send a message and may be able to read what it says right away.

What Facebook has done is provided a tool to remove messages from Messenger chats after you send them. When you do remove the accidental or embarrassing message, it will be pulled from the recipient’s inbox, so they may never get to see it. This works in group chats as well, with the message being yanked from everyone’s accounts.

Plus, if others have received a notification of your message, it will be pulled back so they may have never gotten the opportunity to read it at all. And as for deleting other people’s messages, you can do so on any message in any chat thread, only just for yourself — other users will still see it.

Unlike with Telegram, you can’t unsend all of your messages. Facebook only lets you undo messages up to 10 minutes after sending them. Once that time is up, you can only delete the message from your side of the chat. And deleted messages can still be reported to Facebook, so if it’s something vulgar you wanted to take back, if another person saw it and feels like reporting it, they can even after its removal.

How to Unsend Your Messenger Messages

To do this, long-press on the message you want to delete in the chat. Ignore the reaction options, and look to the actions toolbar, featuring “Copy,” “Forward,” and “Remove.” Tap “Remove,” which will bring up two options: “Remove for You” and “Remove for Everyone.” The former will delete the message locally, but the users on the other end will still see it. If you see “Remove for You” only, it’s either someone else’s message or the 10 minute take-back period has expired.

How to remove other people’s comments from your facebook posts How to remove other people’s comments from your facebook posts

To get rid of the message for good on everyone’s devices, tap “Remove for Everyone.” Facebook will then warn you that what you’re doing is permanent for everybody. Tap “Remove,” and poof, your message is gone, replaced with an annoying “You removed a message” watermark.

On the other end of the message, recipients will also see an alert saying that you removed the message, but they won’t know what exactly you removed unless they happened to see it before you took it back. And if was something terrible, they can still report it to Facebook.

How to remove other people’s comments from your facebook posts How to remove other people’s comments from your facebook posts

If you choose “Remove for You,” a prompt will let you know that it’s only for you and not anyone else in the conversation, so other chat members will continue to see the message. Unlike when removing a message for everyone, doing so just for yourself does not provide any indication in the thread — it just disappears.

As noted above, Messenger is far from the only app that allows you to unsend messages you regret. Email clients, Telegram, even Instagram pack in safety nets for chats to prevent you from getting into hot water.

How to remove other people’s comments from your facebook posts

Using Facebook pages to promote companies, bands, actors, websites, and whatnot is now as commonplace as breathing, especially since Facebook is the trend of the moment, beating Google in terms of traffic. But what to do when you want to add another admin to your Facebook page, or to remove one? Did you even know you could or should?

Good news, I have a quick groovyPost to explain the process!

    Step 1

First of all, you will want to login to Facebook with the account the page is associated with (duh! 🙂 and… again, you need to be an Admin for that page to have the Admin permissions.

On your Facebook home page, go to Account, and then to Manage Pages.

How to remove other people’s comments from your facebook posts

    Step 2

Here you will be shown the various Facebook Pages you’re allowed to manage. Choose the one you want to add admins / remove admins for by clicking Go To Page.

Tip: The alternate way is just typing the exact address of the page in the browser (provided you know it).

How to remove other people’s comments from your facebook posts

    Step 3

Whatever method you used, you should now be on the Facebook page for which you want to edit admins. Now, click Edit Page below the Page picture on the left side. Just look at the image below to see where.

    Step 5

Now you are on the Admin management page. All you have to do to add another admin to your page is to type the beginning of his name or email in the box (as seen in the image) and, once you’ve chosen one, click on his or her name. Now he’s an admin on your page. You can do this for all the people you need to add. When done, click Save Changes.

    Removing an admin

If you want to remove someone from the list of Admins, just go through steps 1-4, and then, when you got to the admin management page, just click Remove next to his name, as seen below. Then, don’t forget to Save Changes. He’ll be out of your life page instantly.

NOTE: The first set of instructions in this article no longer work, as Facebook has removed these specific application pages. You can, however, leverage the update at the bottom of the post to hide posts from pages or advertisers that are spamming your Facebook feed.

I’ve been asked this question more than a few times, so I thought I’d pass it along here. If you hate that apps like Yahoo! News, Spotify, and the Washington Post are pushing articles into your Facebook timeline, there is a quick way to get rid of them.

On top of that, Google and Facebook are now sharing information, so every time you conduct a Google search for a product, that information is shared with Facebook and your news feed is filled with ads.

Luckily, there are options for letting Facebook know if it is serving you up ads or content that are annoying, or even offensive. You can either choose to hide a specific ad or piece of content or you can block all the content from the provider or page.

Skip this stuff – Facebook has removed app pages like these.

    1) Log in to Facebook

    2) Visit the application page for the app that is annoying you:

    • For the Yahoo! News application page go to https://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=90376669494 and follow the next steps below
    • For Yahoo! News also block this application https://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=194699337231859 by following the next steps below
    • For Spotify notifications, go to this application page at https://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=174829003346&ref=ts and follow the steps below
    • For the Washington Post reader, go this application page https://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=225771117449558 and follow the next steps below

    3) On the left side of the page, click Block App.

    4) Click Okay to confirm the block.

How to remove other people’s comments from your facebook postsBlocking Yahoo News will keep it from showing news articles in your timeline

From now on, the Yahoo! News, Spotify or Washington Post apps will no longer show in your news feed. The same holds true for any app like Farmville.

Hope that helps! Have any annoying apps that you’d like me to add to the list? Let me know and I’ll create a link that you can easily use to block the app.

Update #1 – The Better Way to Remove Applications/Ads/or Page Notifications From Facebook

Luckily, Facebook has made it easier for us to remove application updates like those from SocialCam, Yahoo! News, Pinterest, Washington Post, or SocialCam from our news feeds.

For each ad publisher, there is now a drop-down in the upper-right corner that allows us to block any updates from that app, page, or ad.

For instance, in the example below, I can choose the first option to hide this specific ad from Three Insurance.

How to remove other people’s comments from your facebook postsYou can use the Facebook dropdown menu to hide ads or posts from pages that are annoying to you.

Once you choose to hide the ad, Facebook will ask you to describe why you chose the hide the ad. By indicating what caused you to choose to remove the ad from your Facebook timeline, you’re letting know a little more information about the ad or the publisher that might be able to help Facebook remove other ads of this type.

How to remove other people’s comments from your facebook postsBy sharing why you removed the ad from your timeline, you could avoid seeing similar ads in the future.

If this still doesn’t work and you continue to see ads from a specific publisher or page, be sure to try removing the application from your Facebook permission settings. To do this:

    1. Log in to Facebook
    2. Choose the dropdown in the upper right corner of the menu bar, next to home and choose “Settings”
    3. In the Settings page, choose Ads.
    4. In the Ads page, choose”Ads based on data from partners” and set it to “Not allowed”.

How to remove other people’s comments from your facebook postsBy turning off ads from Facebook data partners, other companies like Google won’t share your data.

If you want to go one step further to control the ads that are displayed in your Facebook, you can click the “Ads based on your activity on Facebook Company Products that you see elsewhere” and set it to Not Allowed.

How to remove other people’s comments from your facebook postsBy turning off off Facebook company ads, it will limit what ads you see on other sites that are based on your Facebook activity.

Facebook tags are a way to directly share a post or photo with a specific person, and to indicate who you were with at a certain event or time.

However, if you mistakenly tag someone or decide that you no longer want that person tagged, you’re able to untag them in the post or photo.

The process is similar whether you’re using a computer or the Facebook mobile app on your iPhone or Android phone.

    Here’s how to do it.

Check out the products mentioned in this article:

iPhone 11 (From $699.99 at Best Buy)

Samsung Galaxy S10 (From $899.99 at Best Buy)

How to untag someone on Facebook

    1. Navigate to Facebook.com or open the Facebook mobile app and go to the post or photo that you would like to untag.

    2. To untag someone from a post, select the “More” button and then select “Edit Post.”

    3. If you’re untagging someone who you’ve tagged in the text of a post, simply, edit, highlight and delete the name, as you would if you were deleting a word.

    4. If you indicated that you were with a user in your post, tap on that person’s name in the “Edit Post” screen. This allows you to add additional tags, or you can deselect the person that you would like to untag.

    5. You cannot untag someone from a Facebook photo directly from your timeline. First, click on the photo to open it. On desktop, select “Edit.” On mobile, select the “tag” button at the top of the screen. From there, you can untag people by hitting the “x” next to their name.

How to remove other people’s comments from your facebook posts

If your Facebook account has been tagged in multiple inappropriate photos, removing them one by one manually can be painful. Luckily, you can remove tags from multiple photos at once and even send requests to remove the photos from Facebook.

    1. Log in to your Facebook account.

    2. Go to your own timeline by clicking on your username, and then choose Activity Log at the bottom right of the Facebook cover.

How to remove other people’s comments from your facebook posts

    3. Once the Activity Log page is loaded, find the Photos section on the left side, click on it to expand, and choose Photos of You.

How to remove other people’s comments from your facebook posts

    4. Choose the photos from which you want to remove tags on the right side. You can choose multiple photos at once by using the check box. To start over, click the Deselect All button at the top.

How to remove other people’s comments from your facebook posts

    5. When you have selected all the unwanted photos, click on the Report/Remove Tags at the top. For an individual photo, you can access this option by clicking on the privacy button of that photo.

How to remove other people’s comments from your facebook posts

    6. A new window will pop up on screen, asking you what you would like to do with the photo. You have the option to untag your account, request removing the photo from Facebook, or mark it as spam. When you are done, click Continue.

How to remove other people’s comments from your facebook posts

    7. Facebook will then process your request. When it is completed, you will see a message informing you that your tag has been removed. Please note that the untagged photo can still appear in other places unless Facebook or the uploader remove it.

How to remove other people’s comments from your facebook posts

If you mark the photo as spam and that photo is from a friend, you can report it to Facebook so that they know that your friend’s account has been hacked and will recover it.

If the account that uploaded the picture is a fake one, mark it as a fake account so that Facebook can take appropriate actions against it.

    Click Continue to process.

Assuming you’re still on Facebook—and it’s totally OK if you deleted the service this week , it really is—the company just launched a new update to its Messenger app that gives you and you friends a lot more power over your group conversations (for whoever started them). Here’s how it works.

Flexing your new admin powers against unwanted guests

Facebook Messenger’s new update gives admins of group conversations—the friend that added you and 45 other people to a conversation about an upcoming party, some funny picture they saw on the Internet, or cats—a lot more power over who can join the group at any point. An admin could, for instance, use the approval process to ensure that nobody accidentally adds the subject of a surprise party to a group message about the planning process.

The problem with the feature is that Facebook—in its infinite wisdom—has decided to obfuscate these settings as much as it possibly can.

The great thing about admin privileges in Messenger is they work in the background; if your group chat doesn’t need that level of control, it won’t get in the way of your group messaging. You’ll have the option to decide if you’d like admin approval for approving new members, but this preference is off by default in your group chat settings.

    Father’s Day CBD Bundle

    Send Dad flowers
Well, send him a bundle of calming CBD products made from USDA-certified organic, Kentucky-grown, whole-flower hemp oil, at least.

It’s a little weird that Facebook is keeping these admin rights turned off by default. Isn’t the entire point that you want to preemptively stop people in groups from adding people who shouldn’t be in the group? If the birthday boy slips in while you’re all chatting about what flavor of cake you’re going to get for the big surprise, the moment is already ruined.

We suspect that most people making Facebook groups for their friends aren’t likely to bury themselves in a group’s settings menu—or know they even have approval rights as its creator.

When I tried testing my newfound powers, I tried setting up a brand-new group in Facebook with a few friends. I opened up the group, tapped on the group name, and scrolled down the settings page to find. nothing. Sigh.

It’s possible that the update hasn’t rolled out to me yet—if that’s how Facebook is doing this—but that’s where your new admin powers should theoretically be , if you have access to the feature.

Sharing your group gets a lot easier

In addition to admin rights, Facebook’s Messenger update also adds one other little feature: group links. Within the same group settings windows as before (accessed by tapping on the group’s name when you’re in the screen where you can send messages to the group), you’ll now find the option to “Invite to group with Link.”

Tap that, and you’ll get a unique URL that you can send along to anyone. When they click or tap on it, the link will pull up Messenger on their devices (or web browsers) and give them an easy way to join the group—a handy feature for adding people that you might not necessarily be friends with on Facebook, for whatever reason.

Any group member can create these customized invite links and start shooting them out en masse—and, remember, with admin approvals turned off by default, your brand-new Messenger group might start blowing up before you have a chance to lock it down.

The Facebook-Instagram-Messenger ecosystem is massive, and if you have an account on one platform, there’s a good chance you have an account on another. In Instagram’s case, you might even have multiple accounts — whether it’s public or a private “finsta.”

There are several ways to link all these accounts together, which can make it easier to log into and switch between them. But if you want to unlink these accounts, which can help keep your data and information more secure, it only takes a few taps.

Here’s how to unlink multiple Instagram accounts, or unlink your Instagram from Facebook.

How to unlink two Instagram accounts

Once you unlink Instagram accounts, you can’t link them again. Instagram doesn’t allow users to log into multiple accounts with a single login anymore.

    1. Open the Instagram app on your iPhone or Android and head to your profile page.

    2. Tap the three lines in the top-right corner, and then select Settings.

    3. Tap Login Info.

Important: If you don’t see the Login Info option, it means that your accounts aren’t linked — you’re likely just logged into both on the same phone. To fix this, you’ll just need to log out of the account you want to get rid of.

    4. Tap the three dots next to the account you want to unlink, and then tap Remove.

How to unlink Instagram from your Facebook

If you’ve set up your Instagram so it shares content to Facebook, you can unlink them.

    1. Open the Instagram app on your phone and open your profile page.

    2. Tap the three lines in the top-right corner and select Settings.

    3. In the list that opens, tap Accounts Center.

    4. Tap your connected accounts near the top of the page, and then select either your Instagram or Facebook account.

    5. Select Remove From Accounts Center and confirm that you want to remove it.

Here is the command to delete the previous commit in your existing branch. It will delete the last commit of your present working branch.

1 indicates that you want to delete the last 1 commit. If you want to delete last 5 commits, replace 1 with 5 above.

The above command will take your HEAD back by 5 commits.

If you want to go back to a specific commit, find its commit id using git log command, and then use git reset as follows.

The above commands will only delete commits locally. What if you want to remove them from the remote origin/branch also where you had pushed these commits earlier. In such cases, use the following command after you have deleted commits locally.

Facebook is the largest membership site in the world and boasts more than one billion active users. Consequently, many of the people you know in real life are probably also your friends on Facebook. Just as friends jump in and contribute to group conversations in real life, so might they in online discussions. Sometimes, though, a friend may post something you feel is inappropriate. Be it a Facebook Timeline post or a comment on a status update or photo, you can delete comments or posts you don’t want others to see — as long as they were placed on your profile.

    Removing Posts from Your Timeline

    Step 1

Navigate to Facebook home page and log in to your account. Click your profile name at the top of the page to display your Timeline.

    Step 2

Scroll down to the content or status update posted by your Facebook friend. Review the content or status update message to determine if it’s appropriate and if you want to leave it on your Timeline.

    Step 3

Position the mouse cursor in the upper right corner of the content box of the status update or post you want to delete. When positioning the mouse cursor, an easy way to ensure you place it in the right spot in the content box is to first hover the cursor over the Facebook friend’s profile name and then move the mouse to the right corner. Once you position the cursor in the upper right corner of the content box, a small “x” labeled “Remove” pops up on the screen.

    Step 4

Click the “x” in the corner of the content box, and then click “Delete” in the small pop-up box. Click “Delete” again in the confirmation box that displays on the screen. Facebook deletes the post from your Timeline.
