Last week Apple officially released the first public beta of watchOS 7 with a number of new exciting features, and while the watchOS betas aren’t for the faint of heart — there’s no way to go back to watchOS 6 once you’ve installed it— if you’re interested in taking the plunge, or you already have, there’s a new online community that’s already sprung up to take advantage of one of the new wearable operating system’s more social features.
We’re talking here bout Watch Face sharing of course, which is a fun feature that you might actually find somewhat limited right now as you discover that you’re the only one in your group actually using the watchOS 7 public beta, and therefore have nobody to actually share all of your creative watch faces with, and nowhere to get inspiration from.
Fortunately, somebody has already stepped up to create a third-party platform designed expressly for collecting a gallery of shareable watch faces, as 9to5Mac discovered. Highlighted by Reddit user weathergraph, the new site, buddywatch, is already up and running to let watchOS 7 early adopters share and discover new watch faces.
How It Works
Since watchOS 7 (and the Watch app in iOS 14) can install watch faces from web links, this allows buddywatch to easily host a gallery of watch faces, which you can install simply by visiting the site in Safari on your iPhone, and then tapping the “Download” button on any of your favourites.
Safari will let you know with a popup that the website is trying to download a face for your Apple Watch, and tapping “Allow” will take you straight into the Apple Watch app with a preview of the face and a button to add it to your own set of available watch faces.
Once you’ve added a watch face, it can be used, customized, or removed like any other watch face you’ve added yourself.
The watch face sharing feature in watchOS 7 also allows you to include third-party complications on your custom watch faces, and Apple has designed it so that if you’re installing a watch face from another user that references a complication you don’t have, the Watch app on your iPhone will prompt you to download the appropriate app prior to adding the watch face, although you can also choose to skip that step and continue without adding that particular complication.
The buddywatch site is well designed for finding new watch faces, and already offers filters so you can select from different categories, including casual, classy, essential, health, nightlife, sport, and edition, and more categories will undoubtedly be added as the collection of watch faces expands.
Of course, you’ll need to be running the iOS 14 and watchOS 7 public betas right now to take advantage of watch face sharing, but even if you’re still on watchOS 6, you can visit the buddywatch site in any browser just to see what’s available and perhaps get some inspiration.
How to Share Your Own Watch Faces
If you want to share your own creations with the world, buddywatch is taking submissions, but of course if you have friends who are running watchOS 7, you can also share your watch faces more privately via iMessage directly from your Apple Watch, or via just about any sharing method from the iOS 14 Watch app.
To share a watch face from your Apple Watch:
- Hold down on the watch face (a gentle press and hold is fine, as Force Touch is gone in watchOS 7).
- Tap the share button that appears in the bottom right corner.
- Tap the top field to add a new iMessage contact to share with.
- Tap the name of the watch face in the second field if you want to exclude certain complications. All complications are included by default, but of course the personal data in those complications is never shared in any way.
- Optionally tap on the “Create Message” field if you want to add a message to go with the watch face, in which case you can choose a pre-defined message or scribble/dictate one of your own, just as you would with the Messages app on the watch.
- Scroll down and tap Send to send your watch face on its way.
To share a watch face from your iPhone:
- Open the Watch app.
- Tap and hold on the watch face you’d like to share. A quick look preview of the watch face details will appear, along with a popup menu.
- Tap Share Watch Face. A standard iOS Share Sheet will appear.
- If you want to exclude certain complications, tap the “Options” button at the top of the share sheet. By default, all complications are included.
- Choose your sharing method, such as Messages or Mail, and then proceed to share as you normally would from any other app.
Watch faces are shared using a special “.watchface” file format, so you can use the Save to Files option in the iOS share sheet to save it out directly to a file, which can then be uploaded to a website like buddywatch or really anywhere else you’d like to share it. As noted above, watch faces never include any personal data — even when you’re including your favourite complications, only the raw complications themselves are included, with only sample data shown in the watch face preview.

One of the best parts of owning an Apple Watch is the ability to customize your own watch face with different colors, photos, and complications. You can share these designs with friends, family, and the world, too. Here’s how.
How to Share Your Apple Watch Face
The best way to share your Apple Watch face is by using the Watch app on your iPhone. Keep in mind that you need to have iOS 14 or later installed on your iPhone, and watchOS 7 or later installed on your Watch for this to work.
Launch the Watch app on your iPhone, and tap on the face you would like to share. Now tap on the “Share” button in the top-right corner of the screen to see a list of locations you can share to. These include AirDrop, Messages, Mail, third-party chat services like WhatsApp, note-taking apps, and cloud storage services.
When you export a Watch face, your iPhone sends a file with the .watchface extension to the destination of your choosing. This allows you to share your Watch face to virtually any service that allows the uploading or sending of files, making it easy to make your face available to others. The size of a .watchface file comes in at around 400kb.
You can also share your face directly from your Apple Watch. To do so, tap and hold your Watch face until you see its name at the top of the screen and an “Edit” button beneath it. Tap on the “Share” button in the lower-left corner of the screen.
This will open a new Messages conversation. You can add a contact and a message, then hit “Send” to share your Watch face. There is no way of sending your Watch face to other apps using this method.
Receiving and Removing a Watch Face
When you send a Watch face via Messages, the recipient will see a preview of the face in the conversation window. If you’re sharing a link to a file, this won’t work quite the same. When the link is tapped, the Watch app will open and show a detailed preview of the face.
The recipient can then tap “Add to My Faces” to add the face to their device. The face can then be chosen on the Apple Watch either by long-swiping left and right or by tapping and holding the face until its name appears, then scrolling through the list of available faces.
Faces can be removed via the Watch app using the “Edit” button, or by tapping and holding on an Apple Watch face and then flicking the face upwards (as if you were killing an app on your iPhone).
Sending a Watch face to someone else will not affect their current list of faces, even if they already have a Watch face that uses a similar design (for example, Infograph). No personal information like calendar events, weather locales, or activity data will be included with any faces.
Curated Watch Faces in the App Store
Apple promises a curated selection of Watch faces will appear in the App Store for easy installation. As of watchOS 7’s release in September 2020, however, they were not yet available in the App Store.
Beware of apps promising to install thousands of Watch faces on your device, as these are mostly static images that can be used as regular Watch backgrounds.

Apple’s watchOS 7 brought many new features and improvements to the already amazing Apple Watch.
Sadly, the new system update didn’t bring something we’ve all been asking for: a store with third-party watch faces. It seems as if this isn’t Apple’s priority at the moment, so we shouldn’t hold our breath on this one.
The good news is that watchOS 7 offers many new ways to customize your watch faces and share them with a single person or even the whole world.
It may seem a bit tricky at first, but sharing your Apple Watch watch faces is really easy once you get the hang of it. The best part is that you can share from your iPhone or right from your Apple Watch.

What you need to share your watch faces
Let’s go over the requirements you need to be able to share your watch faces. Don’t worry, you probably already have everything you need.
You’ll obviously need an Apple Watch, but make sure it’s a recent one and that it has watchOS 7 installed. Here’s a quick guide on how you can check which version you have installed.
- On your Apple Watch, go to the Settings App.
- Tap on General.
- Select About.
- You’ll see which watchOS version you have under Version.
This means you’ll need to have at least an Apple Watch Series 3, and yes, this includes the Apple Watch SE. The original Apple Watch and the Series 2 don’t support watchOS 7. Next, you’ll also need your iPhone to have your iPhone up to date with the latest iOS 14 version. Now, let’s move onto the tutorial.
How to share watch faces from your Apple Watch
Using your Apple Watch is one of the easiest ways to share your watch faces with someone else. The downside is that you can only share it with one person at a time, so if you want to send it to several friends, it’ll take you a bit longer. Here’s what you need to do:
- First, select the watch face you want to share.
- Press and hold your watch face until you see the Share and Edit buttons below your watch face.
- Tap on the Share button. It’s the square button next to Edit.
- Select Add contact.
- Select the person you want to share it with. Pro tip: If the contact is not a favorite or recent contact, you can tap on the Dictate button, that is, the blue microphone, to say the name of your contact.
- After you selected your contact, choose to send a custom message or the default one.
- Scroll down and tap on Send.
As you can see, not only you’ll only be able to share your watch face one at a time, but you can also do it via iMessage. Fortunately, there are more ways to share it from your iPhone.
How to share watch faces from your iPhone
Using your iPhone to share your watch faces offers a wider variety of options to choose from. You can share it via email, iMessage, or even using third-party apps. Here’s how!
- On your iPhone, open the Watch App.
- If you’re not there already, tap on the My Watch tab.
- Tap on the watch face you want to share.
- Tap on the Share button, which is on the top-right corner of your screen.
- Tap on the option you’d like to use to share your watch face.
How to share your watch faces online
Sharing your watch faces with your iPhone might be the best option for most people. It has many options to choose from, and you can share your watch faces with more people.
However, if you feel like you just created the best Apple Watch watch face ever, then you might want to share it with the whole world. Here’s how you can share your watch faces online.
Before we start, you should know this process takes a little longer to do. It’s still pretty straightforward, but it’ll take some time.
- Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
- Select the watch face you want to share.
- Tap on the Share button located on the top-right corner of your iPhone.
- In the sharing options, select Mail.
- You want to email yourself your watch face. You read that right, to yourself, no the people you want to share it with.
- If you’re on your iPhone, open the mail you got and tap and hold the attached .watchface file.
- Tap on Share.
- On the options, choose Save to Files.
- Select the location and tap on Save.
- Now, go to the Files app on your iPhone.
- Go to the location where you saved your .watchface file.
- Tap and hold your .watchface file.
- Select Share.
- Tap on Add People.
- Tap on Share Options. Tap on Anyone with a link. This option lets everyone with your link download your watch face.
- Tap on the Back arrow on the left side of your screen to go back.
- On the sharing options, look for the option Copy Link. You might need to swipe left to find it.
- Now, with the link copied, go to any website or social media and paste it.
Congratulations! You just shared your watch face to the world. Granted, it takes quite a few steps to share it. Hopefully, there will be an easier way to do it in a future update.
How to receive a watch face on your iPhone
Ok, we’re almost done. Now you only need to know how to receive watch faces when someone else shares them with you. Here’s what you need to do:
- On your iPhone, tap on the watch face you just got.
- Your Watch app will automatically open up.
- You should see your new watch face on your screen. Tap on Add to My Faces.
- You’ll be asked if you want to download any complications you don’t have installed yet. If you don’t want to install them, tap on Continue Without This App.
- Now you can select this new watch face from the My Faces tab on your iPhone or your Apple Watch.

Apple’s new watchOS 7 update gives Apple Watch owners the ability to share their best faces for the first time. It also lets you download awesome faces designed by others — and it’s all incredibly simple.
We’ll show you how.
Apple still hasn’t given us (or even developers) the ability to design our own watch faces from scratch. But it did add new faces in watchOS 7, and for the first time, the faces you create can be shared with others. –>
What’s more, it’s possible to download other face setups you like either by having them sent to you, or by using apps such as Buddywatch. We’ll show you how to get started.
How to share an Apple Watch face in watchOS 7
There are two ways to share your own Apple Watch faces, and they’re both incredibly simple. The easiest is to use Apple Watch itself. Once you’ve created a face you love, simply follow these steps:
- Tap and hold a watch face on your Apple Watch to open the edit menu.
- Select the face you wish to share, then tap the share button.
- Add a contact and attach a message if you wish.
- Scroll down and tap the Send button.

To share a face from your iPhone, follow these steps:
- Open the Watch app.
- Under the My Faces section, tap the face you want to share.
- Tap the share button in the top-right corner.
- Choose how you would like to send your face.
How to download Apple Watch faces
Using the steps above, a friend can easily send you their favorite faces for you to use on your Apple Watch. Alternatively, you can find ready-made faces elsewhere using an app like Buddywatch.
Buddywatch is free to download and offers a wide variety of custom faces categorized by theme, color scheme, and more. It also has an “Editor’s choice” selection, and showcases the latest additions.
When you find a face you like, simply tap the Download button. The face will be sent to the Watch app, and you can tap Add to My Faces to add it to you library. It will also appear on your Apple Watch.
There is something to be aware of when downloading ready-made Apple Watch faces: Some will come with complications from third-party apps that you may not have installed on your device.
When you add a face with complications you don’t yet have access to, the Watch app will prompt you to download the apps you’ll need. If you choose not to do that, the complications simply won’t appear.
One of the new features that came with watchOS 7 was the ability to share Apple Watch faces. This is an awesome way to share faces with your friends or family who have similar interests; both in face appearance and functions.
You can share an Apple Watch face with all of the visual elements as well as the complications. So if you create the most amazing face that you know your bestie would love, share it! Along with that, you can share your Apple Watch face online. So if you add it to your blog or show it off on social media, others can see it and then download and use it too!
Here, we’ll cover the basics of sharing an Apple Watch face from your Watch or iPhone along with how to share it online and how to use a shared face yourself.
Sharing Apple Watch faces
Before you share
Note that you and your friend must be using an Apple Watch Series 3 or later or Apple Watch SE. And you must both be using watchOS 7 or later.
If you share a face with a complication for an app the other person does not own, they will see the price for it or “Get” for a free app. They can then tap to purchase or download the app or select Continue Without This App.
Share a face from Apple Watch
Sharing a face directly from your Apple Watch is as easy as a few taps.
1) Make sure you’re viewing the face you want to share on Apple Watch.
2) Press and hold the face and then tap the Share button.
3) Choose Add Contact and then select the contact you want to share with. You can also use the buttons to search for a contact or add a phone number.
4) Tap the name of the Watch face. Then decide if you want to share all complications with or without data, or exclude one from the face. The default is the to share complications with data.
5) Tap Done.
6) Optionally, you can Create a Message and when you finish, tap Send.
Share a face from iPhone
If you are putting together a face on your iPhone, you can share it from there too. Open the Watch app and do the following.
1) Select the face you want to share from the My Watch or Face Gallery tab.
2) Tap the Share button. Depending on the type of face you’re sharing, you may have an additional step. For example, if you’re sharing a Photo face, you’ll be prompted to select the photos you want to share with the face.
3) At the top of the Share sheet that displays, tap Options next to the number of complications on the face if you’d like to adjust them. You can then choose to Include with data or Include without data, depending on the complication, or Don’t include. Tap Done when you finish.
4) Choose your method of sharing and follow the prompts.
Share a face online
You can create a link to share your Watch face online or grab the file and plop it on your server if you have your own website.
Follow the same Steps 1 through 3 above for sharing the face from your iPhone. But this time in the Share Sheet pick Save to Files and select a location.
To get the link, press and hold the file you save and pick Share > Add People. Optionally, tap Sharing Options to adjust who can access the link. Back on the Share screen, swipe to the right of the Sharing options and choose Copy Link (tap More to display this option if necessary). This puts the link on your clipboard, ready for you to paste it where you please.
To get the file, simply open it in the Files app where you saved it. Alternatively, you can send it to yourself via email or Messages instead of saving it to the Files app.
Use a shared Watch face
If you see a Watch face online or receive a link from a pal, you can add the face to your available options easily. On the iPhone that’s paired with your Watch, tap the link for the face and select Add to My Faces.
Then when you open the Watch app, you should see the newly added face in that section of the My Watch tab. Tap the face to apply it to your Watch. And remember, if the face includes a complication for an app you don’t own, you’ll have the option to get the app or continue without that complication.
Wrapping it up
The ability to share Apple Watch faces is not just convenient for family members but can be a lot of fun for friends. See what you can come up with, whether a photo of you together with an Activity complication to outdo each other or the Stripes face combining your favorite colors with a Messages complication for quick communications, there are tons of possibilities!

During its September 15 event, Apple announced a new Apple Watch feature: Family Setup. This is a capability in watchOS 7 and iOS 14 that allows you to set up Apple Watches for family members who don’t have their own iPhones. Family Setup focuses on children and older adults and is billed as a way to make sure your family member is safe, while still affording them the independence they need without them needing to own an iPhone.
Here’s what you need to know about Family Setup.
Just what’s the big deal with Family Setup?
Here’s a scenario: you have a younger child. You don’t think they’re old enough for their own iPhone, but you want to be able to quickly get in touch with them and let them do things like text you or their friends, make phone calls, listen to music, and more.
The Apple Watch is the perfect device for this scenario, but previously you’d need to get them an iPhone anyway just to set them up with their own account on the watch. Now, with Family Setup, your child doesn’t need their own iPhone. Instead, you get them an Apple Watch and set it up in the Watch app on your iPhone as a Family Apple Watch.
After you’ve set up your child’s Apple Watch, they can use it as an independent device, though you can manage certain aspects of their experience.
Can you manage allowed contacts for an Apple Watch under Family Setup?
Yes. You can manage contacts for watches connected with Family Setup. Family Setup is essentially an Apple Watch-only multi-device management (MDM) setup, so you have some pretty broad powers over your family member’s watch. You can manage contacts for Apple’s built-in communications apps, Phone and Messages.
Can I keep an eye on my child’s location with Family Setup?
To a certain extent. For instance, family members can share their locations with one another using the Find My app, letting you get an up-to-date picture of where your family is.
But if you just need to know that, say, your child is going where they’re supposed to, you can also set up location notifications. These notifications will tell you if a family member has arrived at a pre-determined location, like school or home. You can also set up these notification to alert you if a family member isn’t where they’re expected to be.
Is there a way to keep my child focused on schoolwork instead of their Apple Watch?
Family Setup includes the ability for parents to activate Schooltime mode. This is a special mode that limits Apple Watch features and activates a special watch face meant to keep kids focused on their work.
What can family members do with their Apple Watch in Family Setup?
As a family member whose Apple Watch is under Family Setup, there’s actually a lot you can do. You can listen to music through Apple Music, download apps from the App Store (subject to family restrictions, of course), make calls, and send messages to approved contacts.
There’s also a new Memoji app for Apple Watch that’s great for Family Setup. With the Memoji app, you can create a Memoji right on your Apple Watch. You can send it in Messages as a Memoji or a sticker, or you can add it to the new Memoji watch face.
Are there any changes to fitness tracking with Family Setup?
As a family member using an Apple Watch with Family Setup, you can set your own fitness goals, perform your own workouts, and track your own rings. Your fitness data isn’t part of your parent’s (or, for older adults, your child’s) data.
A kid or older adult using an Apple Watch with Family Setup can set their own fitness goals and perform workouts better suited to them. Activities are better optimized for kids, and metrics like distance and pace will be tracked more accurately in different activities.
Family members can also set their own activity ring goals, moving stand and exercise minutes up or down based on ability. For kids, the outer ring is also changed from tracking calories burned to activity time, because kids don’t need to be stressing about calories.
Can you send Apple Cash to an Apple Watch on Family Setup?
Yes, you can. Apple has introduced Apple Cash Family, which lets you send money to family members that use Apple Watches on Family Setup. It works just like Apple Cash already does: you select a contact in Messages, choose Apple Cash, select an amount, and send it. You can manage Apple Cash Family using parental control settings.
Are there any features directed at older adults in Family Setup?
There don’t seem to be any features explicitly aimed at older adults with Family Setup, but Apple definitely means for them to benefit from it.
Here’s another scenario: you help take care of a parent with medical issues. For whatever reason, an iPhone doesn’t make sense for them, but an Apple Watch really does. Features like fall detection, large type, and Emergency SOS would be great for both your peace of mind and theirs.
Now, you can just get them an Apple Watch and set it up with Family Setup, giving them the benefits of the watch without the unnecessary baggage of their own iPhone. And because you don’t want to infantilize your parent, maybe leave the restrictions alone for their watch, okay?
What are the Apple Watches with which Family Setup works?
Family Setup is compatible with the Apple Watch Series 4 and later, that means, you need one of these to use it:
- Apple Watch Series 4
- Apple Watch Series 5
- Apple Watch SE
- Apple Watch Series 6
Importantly, you need an Apple Watch with cellular connectivity to use Family Setup.
When can I start using Family Setup?
Family Setup requires watchOS 7 and iOS 14. Importantly, you can’t get watchOS 7 unless you first install iOS 14. You can get these software updates when they launch for everyone on Wednesday, September 16.

Apple announced significant new versions of iOS and macOS at this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June. The reveal of the upcoming software version for Apple Watch was less publicized, but it could prove significant nonetheless. Among the goodies arriving on watchOS 7 this fall is the ability to create and share Apple Watch faces with family and friends. Here’s a first look at how to do it.
One of the criticisms of Apple Watch has been the inability of developers to create and sell third-party watch faces. That hasn’t changed in watchOS 7, although I’d like to believe the new sharing tool is a small step in that direction.
Sharing Watch Faces
You can send others your customized Watch faces directly through Apple Watch or in iOS 14 using the familiar share sheets. Naturally, the other person must also have watchOS 7 installed to use and edit the face.
On iOS 14
To share a watch face on your iPhone:
- Tap the Watch app on your smartphone.
- Select an Apple Watch face to share under My Faces on the My Watch tab.
- Choose the sharing icon at the top right.
- Tap the way you wish to share. You can send the face through AirDrop, Messages, email, and more, just like any other file.
On watchOS 7
To share a watch face from your wrist:
- With the face you wish to share active, hard press on the Apple Watch display.
- Tap on the Share Sheet.
- Choose a contact.
- Add a message in the Create Message box.
- Scroll down, select Send.
There are other new features to look forward to in watchOS 7, including the following.
New and Updated Watch Faces
The beta version of watchOS 7 also introduces a new face and updates some of the existing designs. Chronograph Pro is the first for Apple Watch to feature a tachymeter. Better still, it includes plenty of room for customization. A functional chronograph arrives simply by tapping the bezel surrounding the main 12-hour dial. You can record time on scales of three, six, 30, or 60 seconds. The tachymeter timescale measures speed based on the time traveled over a fixed distance. You can change the color of the Chronograph Pro watch face and add up to four complications.
Meanwhile, the existing X-Large Apple Watch face now offers a selection of complications for the first time, while the Photos face offers color filters.
New Complications and Sleep
You’ll also find more complications in watchOS 7, including a world clock, shortcuts, camera remote, moon face, and more. Perhaps the most prominent new feature of watchOS 7 is the introduction of a native sleep app. Long rumored, the function is designed to help you to create a schedule and bedtime routine that matches your sleep goals.
Sleep is one of the most critical aspects of your health, but also one of the least understood. Tracking is a good start, but the new Sleep app goes further. It helps you create a schedule and a bedtime routine so you can meet your sleep goals. From the app, you can view last night’s sleep data and how you did the previous 14 days.
The Sleep app functionality is mostly tied to new features on the Clock app on iOS 14. One of these is Wind Down, which assists you in setting up a bedtime routine using shortcuts that help you to relax. When the new day arrives, you’ll see a weather report and your current battery level on your Apple Watch on the screen to turn off your alarm.
During Wind Down, you’ll also receive an alert if your Apple Watch battery is below 30 percent. That way, you’ll get a gentle reminder to charge the wearable device before your sleep time. When charging the Watch during the day, you now receive an iPhone notification when the Apple Watch battery reaches 100 percent.
The next version of watchOS 7 also includes four new workouts, including Dance, Functional Strength Training, Core Training, and a post-workout Cooldown.
Other new features are coming to Apple Watch this fall with watchOS 7, including a hand-washing tool, and more. No doubt, there will be other features announced along with the revealing of the next-generation Apple Watch.
WatchOS 7, alongside macOS Big Sur, iOS 14, iPadOS 14, and tvOS 14, should arrive for the public in September. No doubt, being able to design and share Apple Watch faces will be a winner with many users. Stay tuned.

If you have an Apple Watch, then you might want to shake things up by changing your watch face once in a while. One problem with this is that you are often left with a long list of faces that you’ll never use. Fortunately, you can just as easily remove them.
How to Delete a Watch Face on Apple Watch
Removing a Watch face from your Apple Watch is just as easy as adding a new one. To do this, make sure your Apple Watch is unlocked and that the watch face is on the screen (as below, with no windows or other apps open).
Touch and hold the watch face until you see the “Edit” and share buttons at the bottom of the screen. You can swipe left and right to select different watch faces using this menu.
When you find a watch face that you want to delete, swipe up on the watch face and tap “Remove.” This works similarly to how you’d terminate an app on an iPhone or iPad. From here you can either select a different watch face by swiping left and right, then tapping it or pressing the digital crown to return to your previous watch face.
How to Delete a Watch Face on iPhone
You can also delete watch faces in the Watch app on an iPhone.
First, launch the “Watch” app, then tap on “Edit” under “My Faces.” To delete a face, tap the red icon to the left of the face followed by “Remove” to delete it. You can also change the order by grabbing the “hamburger” icon to the right of the watch face (it looks like three horizontal lines) and dragging up and down.
Try Other Watch Faces
You can use the same technique to try out new watch faces. Simply press and hold your watch face until you see the “Edit” and share button at the bottom of the screen, then swipe left until you get to the end of the list.
Tap the “+” button to add a new watch face, then use the digital crown to cycle through your options. When you’re ready to add the watch face to your list, tap on it. Don’t forget to use the “Edit” button to add complications and change the theme.
You can quickly cycle through your list of watch faces without accessing this menu. With your watch face on the screen, swipe from the very edge of the screen left or right to move to a different watch face. If you don’t swipe from the outer edge of the screen, this won’t work.
More Faces Are Added Regularly
Apple is always adding new watch faces to watchOS with each major upgrade. If you haven’t updated your Apple Watch recently (or you have automatic updates switched off), then you can force an update under the Watch app.
To manually check for and install updates, launch Watch on your iPhone, tap “General,” and tap “Software Update.” Any available software updates will be listed here, and you can instruct your iPhone to download and apply the update when your Watch is next connected to a power source.
