How to use autosuggestion

How to Use AutosuggestionBy Greg Frost,
Creator of Quantum Success Secrets

Autosuggestion is a technique of mind training generated from each individual, which allows the subconscious mind to accept positive thoughts and goals, and from there engage its dormant power in achieving those goals.

Sounds hard? With the following techniques, you will be well on your way to training the subconscious mind with autosuggestion too.

Autosuggestion is founded on the theory of repetition. The constant repetition of positive thoughts is used for setting goals, and allows for a direct link between the conscious and subconscious mind, allowing the subconscious mind to affect the conscious mind.

Through this repetition process of positive affirmations, the subconscious mind is able to seek out the best possible way to reach the goal, as it is unable to reason or logic. This is where its power lies.

The importance of training the subconscious mind with autosuggestion is that the mind is susceptible to both positive and negative thoughts. Without consciously activating the subconscious mind to focus on positive thoughts, you risk allowing negative thoughts to infiltrate into the subconscious which will work towards ensuring that it is real.

Below are some simple techniques you can start using today.

1. Repeating Affirmations

This can be done in your mind or spoken aloud, but it is essential to repeat the positive affirmations everyday. This can be done ideally in the morning or right before bedtime, as it allows the subconscious to continue working on it even whilst you are sleeping.

2. Writing down your Affirmations

By writing down your affirmations, it is a reinforcement process that forces your mind to focus on it. By imprinting the importance of these affirmations in your subconscious, you are allowing it to be accepted and acted upon. It is also useful to leave the list in prominent areas such as your work space so that you are constantly reminded of positive thoughts.

3. Listening to a self-recorded tape

Over time, you will find that it is more than sufficient to listen to your voice repeating the affirmations. It will then be less important to consciously think of your positive affirmations.

4. Someone you Admire

Pick out traits that you admire, or even a person whom you wish to emulate. Identify what characteristics you are aiming towards, and include them in your positive affirmations. This will give you a concrete goal to work towards.

The subconscious mind is a powerful tool that can work both ways if not properly trained. Once you decide on a path of action, the subconscious mind will guide you through it to achieve your end goal, manifested by the communication between the conscious and the subconscious mind. Many people want to step up their game in multiple ways at once. They want to be more successful and healthy.

Asking for more confidence, motivation, and energy.

But these things are hard to achieve. They take immense willpower, discipline, and mental fortitude.

How to Use Autosuggestion

What if there is a technique that allows you to achieve all these goals simultaneously?

What if it does not take sweat and tears to become more healthy and successful, but only a small habit and a little bit of time?

What is Auto-Suggestion?

Before we dive deep on how to use Auto-Suggestion to your advantage. let’s make sure to understand it.

First and foremost, your subconsciousness mind will not simply print money for you on demand. It cannot grow muscles and make you healthy overnight either. Basically, it will not make your dreams come true using magic tricks.

Auto-Suggestion describes how your own beliefs, thoughts, and the things you say, influence your behaviour and state of mind.

As you might imagine, this opens the door not only for positive but also a negative impact on your life.

To make sure the former is the case rather than the latter, you can use affirmations.

Affirmations are positively formulated sentences that you want to ingrain in your brain to the best of your ability.

When you hear something often enough, your brain starts to accept it as reality. Influencing ideas and behaviours accordingly.

This results in you, your behaviours and thought patterns naturally adapting in ways that help you to reach what you desire.

Now, don’t get all excited about achieving all your dreams by simply speaking them out like a spell just yet.

While Auto-Suggestion can definitely bring you closer to your dream job or body, it will not get you there all by itself.

You still have to take on the possibilities it offers you, and you still have to put in the work.

Still, practising Auto-Suggestion on a regular basis can make sure you realize your full potential.

Moreover, it equips you to live up to the opportunities that surround you, which you might miss otherwise.

2. What to say and how to say it

Now that you are introduced to what Auto-Suggestion is and what potential effects it can have on your life, you probably want to know what exactly you should say when exercising it.

2.1 What to say

For Auto-Suggestion to properly work, you need to adhere to some rules regarding the content.

To start off, it is important to use the present tense. This way it is easier for your brain to accept the spoken word as reality. While it is possible to formulate in the future tense as well, I would not recommend it.

Furthermore, you should not use negations. Negations have a negative impact on how the sentences are received. Try to highlight what you want to achieve and can do. Not what you cannot do and should avoid.

Continuing, the content needs to be positive and motivating. Don’t allow any negativity when reprogramming your brain. And dream big!

Additionally, try to integrate as many details as possible. Enrichening your motivation and providing a clear path on what needs to be done in order to to get where you want to.

As these are very general rules, it might be hard to imagine a perfect affirmation for now. Don’t worry though, examples follow in a bit.

Furthermore, it is important not to switch up your affirmations too often. While it can be good to find some variance in the way you express them, the general content should stay the same.

Also, don’t be shy to have multiple affirmations at the same time. The only downside is that the daily repetition takes a little bit longer.

2.2 How to say it

While the content of your affirmations is very important, the way you practice them is equally so.

If you end up mumbling the affirmations every now and then and feel stupid doing so, it won’t benefit you much.

In order to achieve the best possible effect, you have to put in the emotion.

To help you believe in it, try to think of Auto-Suggestion like a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Once you start believing it, your brain will not be able to understand the difference between what’s reality and what’s made up.

Anyhow, it is reasonable that you might feel silly and awkward when talking to yourself. Especially in the beginning.

Don’t let it distract yourself though. Make sure you get as comfortable as you can get. Once it has become a habit, it will not only not feel stupid to do it.

In fact, there is a big chance it turns out that you actually like it, motivating and calming your mind at the same time.

To add to that, the most important part for you is to be comfortable and to really try.

To achieve this, you can use a variety of tools at your disposal.

  • close your eyes while speaking out loud
  • write your affirmations down (helps with remembering them, too)
  • repeat them in your head only (not as effective, but takes away the silliness)
  • record yourself and listen to it later

How many words do you utter in the space of time between sunrise and sundown? Like most people, you may not have a precise count. Every word that you utter has a lot of power and that is why you should learn how to use autosuggestion techniques to manifest success and happiness. Here are some crucial techniques worth grasping.

1 – Use Autosuggestion Phrases that Express Passion

We all appreciate the awesome power of love. It is possible to harness this power in a neat autosuggestion line in order to achieve a certain goal. For example, if you are having problems concentrating on your work, just use the lines “I am very passionate with my work”. The objective is to create a field of energy of love for your work at the subconscious level.

Eventually, your subconscious mind grows accustomed to the fact that you love your work. This results in a sharper focus on your routine and a gradual decline of interest in the distractions that usually compromise your concentration. Autosuggestion is one of the easiest ways to reprogram your subconscious mind so that it inclines to your goals.

2 – Repeat the Autosuggestion during Vulnerable Moments

Every person has some negative habits that affect their progress in life. If you examine your life keenly, you will notice that such habits happen at specific moments. A powerful autosuggestion can help you overcome the cravings for such habits whenever they strike. You simply have to repeat the autosuggestion multiple times.

For instance, if you are recovering from alcohol or drug addiction, you should repeat a firm autosuggestion that disengaged your subconscious mind from the habit. Just repeat, “I AM not drinking again,” like 20 times and the urge will subside. Click on this link and learn how to use powerful techniques of autosuggestion to manifest success.

3 – Visualize

One of the most powerful ingredients of success is the combination of autosuggestion and visualization. Calm down your mind in a meditative state and visualize what you want to achieve as you utter the autosuggestion. This technique has a very powerful positive effect on the subconscious mind.

In a short while you will notice that the goals that you had thought difficult to achieve are actually within easy grasp. Do not be overwrought with a mixture of objectives. Stay composed and visualize what you want so that the autosuggestion intervenes to make it happen. That is precisely how great achievers engage their minds.

4 – Set a Routine

When you make your autosuggestion a matter of routine, chances are that you will achieve your goals quite effortlessly and in a shorter time than you had anticipated. The best time to do this is in the morning. Once you wake up in the morning, sit up by the bedside and say your autosuggestion with a resolute mind.

You may also include it into a conversation such that people think you are really talking to them when in the real sense you are addressing your subconscious mind. It also helps to remember to engage progressive people and get in situations that in turn foster your objective. That is what the law of attraction recommends.

How to Use Autosuggestion

Discover The Easiest, Smartest Solution For Losing Weight, And Keeping It Off For Good!

How to Use AutosuggestionWhen we face obstacles in our lives we not always try to overcome them by ourselves, but we rather tend to believe that we will certainly get some help from the world. We listen to the advice of friends and not-so-friends, family, read all sorts of articles and watch television programs and wait. Suggestion, which is a pretty powerful tool, plays a very important role here.

However, it is not always able to help us, and very often it may even do harm. Everyone has heard stories about how someone robbed people using suggestion. But you can also remember the stories with happy endings, for example, the ones about the placebo effect.

But what if one uses such a powerful tool as the suggestion for peaceful purposes such as helping and healing themselves? Why would you rely on others when you can solve your problems without their help? With the help of suggestion not only you can improve your mood, but you can also achieve goals and even fight diseases! The main thing is to believe in the power of your own thoughts.

A well-known notion is that humans do not use the abilities of their brain at 100%, and most of them are still not disclosed. We all have some kind of hidden reserves, capable of performing miracles. These include self-suggestion, which is a striking force capable of even healing. You can find plenty of examples to see it in action.

For example, Italian physician Fabrizio Benedetti who treated patients with Parkinson’s disease gave them simple saline solution instead of their usual medications containing dopamine. As a result, patients showed the same reaction as to the real drug. With this experiment, Fabrizio Benedetti proved that the introduction of saline solution as a result of autosuggestion triggered the production of dopamine in the body of the patients.

Similar results were also obtained by other doctors and scientists who were experimenting in the field of anesthesia of the body, as well as by those trying to find the cure for rheumatism, stomach adhesions, and even cancer.

But how to believe in black when it is white? If you know something for sure, it is hard to convince yourself in the opposite. It is easy to believe in something because of the lack of awareness, even if this deception is for the sake of a good cause, and instead of painkillers a patient takes a piece of chalk. Blind faith in its healing properties will unavoidably relieve pain. But it is difficult to make yourself believe that you are taking a great effective medication knowing that it is chalk. And without faith there will be no result.

Try an experiment. Lie down as comfortably as possible, completely relax and close your eyes. Imagine a cold winter day, snowflakes, wind and an ice lake. Imagine an ice hole in the middle of the lake and a person wearing a lightweight swimsuit and getting ready to dip into the hole. Do you have goosebumps? If yes, then you have managed to ‘take’ yourself to that place. Imagination is the way to the healing and effective autosuggestion.

In order to achieve noticeable results in this field, train your imagination trying to visualize that you are cold when in reality it is hot and vice versa, or that you have no pain when you do. You will see that very soon you will be able to perform miracles with the power of your thought. And most importantly – believe in yourself and always have a positive attitude.

Techniques for creating lasting behavioural change

So you’re interested in autosuggestion techniques? Respect! This kind of thing fascinates me! Self-induced suggestions that support new thoughts, feelings, and behaviour… If you want to know your future, look no further than the causes your making in the present. There are so many ways to create fresh new actions. This is seriously exciting!

How to Use Autosuggestion

Just think of Derren Brown. The master of suggestion. This might be an extreme example, and you might think you’ll never have this level of influence, but it shows just how much potential there is. It’s well worth taking a step in that direction, surely! Imagine you could use some of that same power and influence on yourself. Well, you can, and you’re sure to get better and better at it with time.

The chap that first coined the term autosuggestion tried replacing a group’s “thought of illness” with a “thought of cure”, to test if it would make their meds work better. And bizzarely it worked. The phrase: “Every day, in every way, I’m getting better and better” was used. Pretty catchy eh… Almost hypnotic…

Of course, a person without legs can’t make them grow back with positive thinking. Some things are more changeable than others. But I reckon far more can be changed and influenced than most people imagine. Just think of the placebo effect… It’s an amazing phenomenon.

Autosuggestion Techniques You Can Try Now

You up for trying giving one of these a bash?

  1. Create your own catchy statements
  2. Changing one word
  3. Play the detective
  4. Use of memorabilia to savour the past

Autosuggestion technique 1. Self-created statements in response to a desirable change

Take your unique “habit” you want to change and create a unique encouragement or “auto-suggestion” for yourself. Whenever your habit kicks in deliver your auto-suggestion. Coming up with a suggestion and making it “auto” may take a while but it also took a while for your current habits to be formed! In the short term, you’ll feel some relief and immediate pleasure, and if you can stick with it your automatic response to the situation will begin to shift as well. I’m working on a couple of habits right now.

  1. To combat my headless chicken habit (rushing, frustration) – “I have all the time in the world”
  2. My rumination habit (going over and over something I wish I didn’t say). “I’m learning all the time and trying my best”.
  3. My habit of using “I need to” and “I have to” implying the power lies somewhere other than with me. Auto-suggestion: “All that I do, I choose to do. I always have a choice”

Let me know your autosuggestions in the comments below or if you prefer, send me an email and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. To assist yourself in making this automatic you can reward yourself each time you remember to do it. Something as simple, as a pat on the back can work, or maybe you can keep a pack of peanuts with you and have a peanut each time you remember. You can do this in any way you like. I think it’s nice to come up with your own way, so you have a sense of ownership. One of my favourite psychological theories is the self-determination theory by Deci and Ryan. It says that when someone decides for themselves, they are more likely to carry through with it.

Let me know in the comments below if you want any tips or if you want to share how it went for you.

Autosuggestion technique 2: Changing one word

One way of creating valuable self-encouragement, is when you’re in unconscious mode take a thought that is occurring to you that seems harmful and repeat the sentence but replace one word, any word, to make the sentence kinder or more positive. Can you feel the difference? You can then introduce that new sentence as a response to a certain situation. By the way, a diary for this work can be very helpful.

Autosuggestion technique 3. Play the detective

Another technique might be called “playing the detective”. Imagine you’re Sherlock Holmes. You could even buy a monocle and keep it in your pocket to make it more fun. While in the midst of bad habit land, harmful thought land, look closely for some facts? Does the actual evidence support your opinion and feeling? You are the detective and your job is to state the facts out loud. “This weather is miserable” is not a fact, it’s an opinion. “it is raining” is a fact.

Autosuggestion technique 4. Savouring the past with memorabilia

If you want to create changes in behaviour, here is a helpful way. A fascinating study in the journal of happiness studies showed that people who reminisced about pleasant memories twice a day for a week using memorabilia or imagery, reported greater happiness than a control group.

One of my favourite autosuggestion techniques taps into these findings. If you have something in the present you wish to change, like for example, your response to criticism, harnessing the positive past can be helpful. One reason for this is the broaden and build theory of positive emotions, which suggests that change becomes more likely when you experience positive emotions. You might ask yourself, “What situation in the past shows that I can respond in the way I want”. Reminiscing about this for ten minutes, as participants did in the study, and then creating a piece of memorabilia that embodies that, can be used to further support change in the present.

When you’re criticised, you’ll have the memorabilia on you, you will recall the positive experience, and the positive emotions, allowing you to respond more freely. A new habit can be created through persistent effort.

If you liked this, you might also like.

That’ll do for now! I find these 4 methods intriguing and love the fact that they really have endless opportunities for application.

How to Use Autosuggestion

If you’re struggling to overcome limiting beliefs, or want to instill an attitude of success and prosperity within you, then autosuggestion is a powerful technique you should consider.

More than a self-help tactic, autosuggestion is a fundamental tool we can use to determine the beliefs we wish to hold and, in turn, have a positive impact on the world we experience.

In this post we’ll take a look at what auto-suggestion is, and how you can use positive suggestion influence your subconscious mind.

What Is Autosuggestion?

Autosuggestion is a term used to describe the interaction between your thoughts and your beliefs.

Put simply, it is the idea that a thought, repeated many times, will eventually form into a belief. If you understand this principle and know how to apply it, then you can use it to create for yourself any belief you choose, and, by extension, live the life you feel inspired to live.

Autosuggestion was popularize by many great science of mind thinkers and teachers of the law of attraction, including Napoleon Hill, Ernest Holmes, and Emile Coue.

In Napoleon Hill’s classic, Think and Grow Rich, autosuggestion is listed as the third step towards riches. Hill writes:

“All suggestions are self-administered stimuli that reach your mind through your five senses. Stated in another way, autosuggestion is self-suggestion.”

Hill argues that autosuggestion is an indispensable principle for creating a positive influence over your life. He goes so far as to say that no thought, regardless of whether it is a positive thought or a negative thought, could enter the mind without the use of autosuggestion.

The question is whether or not you are using this tool consciously, by setting deliberate intentions, or unconsciously, through happenstance and chance.

How to Use Autosuggestion

How Autosuggestion Works

The principle is firmly rooted in neuroscience. Thoughts are literally electrical connections in your brain. When you think a thought, a synapse fires. As this thought leads to other thoughts, your brain draws connections, constantly wiring itself using a concept known as neuroplasticity.

The more you repeat a thought, the stronger it becomes. Eventually, it forms into a belief, which in turn has a strong power over how you act and respond to the world around you.

Consistently think positive thoughts, and you will develop positive, empowering beliefs. You’ll feel confident, capable, and inspired to action. If you consistently think negative thoughts, however, you’ll wind up feeling worthless and depressed.

This is the same principle that underlies many empowerment techniques, including the use of positive affirmations and visualization techniques, as the fundamental idea is to continue to re-assert desired goals until they become beliefs.

The choice is yours. The question is: do you know how to leverage this tool?

Ted Talk by Tim Crouch

You can apply the principles of autosuggestion to any subject or desire, whether it’s personal relationships, business, or art. For a great perspective on how to apply it to your life, listen to this great Ted talk by award-winning director Tim Crouch.

In the next post in this series, I’ll outline specific Autosuggestion Techniques and Examples you can use to apply this concept to your life.

How to Use Autosuggestion

We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.

Pierre Teilhard De Chardin

Murphy, author of The Power of the Subconscious Mind, told a story of one his relatives who died as a result of negative autosuggestion.

The man went to visit a crystal gazer in India who told him that by the next new moon, he was going to die as something will happen to his heart.

So he came back and started telling everyone that he was going to die at the said time. He even prepared his will as a sign that he was going.

That negative autosuggestion, believed, came to pass. He died that same day.

What killed him?

An autopsy was carried out and it was discovered that his heart was in good condition. However, it’s clear that his thoughts were distorted and his body had to let go… That’s the power of autosuggestion.

How to Use Autosuggestion

You can see the result of autosuggestion around you – from kids to adults with faulty perception of themselves. They have been told they will amount to nothing from childhood and so they believed it. After a while, it shows up.

It was auto suggested to them and their minds, just like yours, cannot fathom what’s true or false. What you give to the mind, it takes.

If you believe coronavirus will kill you, my dear you are setting yourself up for death. Somehow, I feel the fear of the covid-19 might cause more harm than the virus itself.

Does it mean we should pay no attention to corovirus?

Take all the coronavirus safety measures but more importantly guard your mind. That’s where your life is controlled from.

The NEWS media is full of terror and statistics of those affected and dead due to coronavirus.

As you stay at home, working remotely, don’t allow the negatives of covid-19 overshadow your thoughts.

Remember the words we started with. And I’ll close with this to reemphasize the reality that we are first spiritual beings:

Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all creatures that move along the ground.

How to Use Autosuggestion

The Use Of Autosuggestion

Let us now return to the point where I said that we can control and lead our imagination, just as a torrent or an unbroken horse can be controlled. To do so, it is enough in the first place to know that this is possible (of which fact almost everyone is ignorant) and secondly, to know by what means it can be done. Well, the means is very simple; it is that which we have used every day since we came into the world, without wishing or knowing it and absolutely unconsciously, but which unfortunately for us, we often use wrongly and to our own detriment. This means is autosuggestion.

Whereas we constantly give ourselves unconscious autosuggestions, all we have to do is to give ourselves conscious ones, and the process consists in this: first, to weigh carefully in one’s mind the things which are to be the object of the autosuggestion, and according as they require the answer “yes” or “no” to repeat several times without thinking of anything else: “This thing is coming”, or “this thing is going away”; “this thing will, or will not happen, etc., etc. . . .”. (Of course, the thing must be in our power.) If the unconscious accepts this suggestion and transforms it into an autosuggestion, the thing or things are realized in every particular.

Thus understood, autosuggestion is nothing but hypnotism as I see it, and I would define it in these simple words: The influence of the imagination upon the moral and physical being of mankind. Now this influence is undeniable, and without returning to previous examples, I will quote a few others.

If you persuade yourself that you can do a certain thing, provided this thing be possible, you will do it however difficult it may be. If on the contrary you imagine that you cannot do the simplest thing in the world, it is impossible for you to do it, and molehills become for you unscalable mountains.

Such is the case of neurasthenics, who, believing themselves incapable of the least effort, often п¬Ѓnd it impossible even to walk a few steps without being exhausted. And these same neurasthenics sink more deeply into their depression, the more efforts they make to throw it off, like the poor wretch in the quicksands who sinks in all the deeper the more he tries to struggle out.

In the same way it is sufficient to think a pain is going, to feel it indeed disappear little by little, and inversely, it is enough to think that one suffers in order to feel the pain begin to come immediately.

I know certain people who predict in advance that the will have a sick headache on a certain day, in certain circumstances, and on that day, in the given circumstances, sure enough, they feel it. They brought their illness on themselves, just as others cure theirs by conscious autosuggestion.

I know that one generally passes for mad in the eyes of the world if one dares to put forward ideas which it is not accustomed to hear. Well, at the risk of being thought so, I say that if certain people are ill mentally and physically, it is that they imagine themselves to be ill mentally or physically. If certain others are paralytic without having any lesion to account for it, it is that they imagine themselves to be paralyzed, and it is among such persons that the most extraordinary cures are produced. If others again are happy or unhappy, it is that they imagine themselves to be so, for it is possible for two people in exactly the same circumstances to be, the one perfectly happy, the other absolutely wretched.

Neurasthenia, stammering, aversions, kleptomania, certain cases of paralysis, are nothing but the, result of unconscious autosuggestion, that is to say the result of the action of the unconscious upon the physical and moral being.

But if our unconscious is the source of many of our ills, it can also bring about the cure of our physical and mental ailments. It can not only repair the ill it has done, but cure real illnesses, so strong is its action upon our organism.

Shut yourself up alone in a room, seat yourself in an armchair, close your eyes to avoid any distraction, and concentrate your mind for a few moments on thinking: “Such and such a thing is going to disappear”, or “Such and such a thing is coming to pass.”

If you have really made the autosuggestion, that is to say, if your unconscious has assimilated the idea that you have presented to it, you are astonished to see the thing you have thought come to pass. (Note that it is the property of ideas auto-suggested to exist within us unrecognized, and we can only know of their existence by the effect they produce.) But above all, and this is an essential point, the will must not be brought into play in practising autosuggestion; for, if it is not in agreement with the imagination, if one thinks: “I will make such and such a thing happen”, and the imagination says: “You are willing it, but it is not going to be”, not only does one not obtain what one wants, but even exactly the reverse is brought about.

This remark is of capital importance, and explains why results are so unsatisfactory when, in treating moral ailments, one strives to re-educate the will. It is the training of the imagination which is necessary, and it is thanks to this shade of difference that my method has often succeeded where others — and those not the least considered — have failed. From the numerous experiments that I have made daily for twenty years, and which I have examined with minute care, I have been able to deduct the following conclusions which I have summed up as laws:

When the will and the imagination are antagonistic, it is always the imagination which wins, without any exception.

In the conflict between the will and the imagination, the force of the imagination is in direct ratio to the square of the will.

When the will and the imagination are in agreement, one does not add to the other, but one is multiplied by the other.

The imagination can be directed.

(The expressions “In direct ratio to the square of the will” and “Is multiplied by” are not rigorously exact. They are simply illustrations destined to make my meaning clearer.)

After what has just been said it would seem that nobody ought to be ill. That is quite true. Every illness, whatever it may be, can yield to autosuggestion, daring and unlikely as my statement may seem; I do not say does always yield, but can yield, which is a different thing.

But in order to lead people to practise conscious autosuggestion they must be taught how, just as they are taught to read or write or play the piano.

Autosuggestion is, as I said above, an instrument that we possess at birth, and with which we play unconsciously all our life, as a baby plays with its rattle. It is however a dangerous instrument; it can wound or even kill you if you handle it imprudently and unconsciously. It can on the contrary save your life when you know how to employ it consciously. One can say of it as Aesop said of the tongue: “It is at the same time the best and the worst thing in the world”.

I am now going to show you how everyone can profit by the beneficent action of autosuggestion consciously applied. In saying “every one”, I exaggerate a little, for there are two classes of persons in whom it is difficult to arouse conscious autosuggestion:

The mentally undeveloped who are not capable of understanding what you say to them.

How to Use Autosuggestion

In the last post, I talked about how autosuggestion works, and why it’s an important tool you can use to influence your subconscious mind.

In this post, I’m going to dive into more detail on specific autosuggestion techniques you can use to create lasting, positive change in your life, starting today.

1. Use Positive Affirmations

The first, and probably the most obvious autosuggestion technique is to use positive affirmations. Affirmations are at the crux of how autosuggestion works, and, by themselves, can go a long way towards creating new beliefs.

Remember: autosuggestion works by creating repeated thought patterns in your brain. As you consciously choose to repeat your thoughts, you quite literally strengthen the connections that thought has in your brain. Over time, this forms a belief.

This means that affirmations, or simply repeating positive ideas to yourself, will, over time, instill a new belief within you. HOWEVER, you have to make sure you choose your affirmations carefully. Simply telling yourself you have a billion dollars in the bank won’t necessarily make you believe it.

2. Write Your New Beliefs in a Journal

Speaking affirmations is important, but even more powerful is the act of writing them down. Harvard-trained psychologist Shawn Achor notes that when we write down positive qualities (whether that’s an affirmation or simply something we are grateful for) are brains are significantly more likely to remember that association, and act on it in the future.

Writing causes you to spend more time sitting into the energy of the phrase, so it has a more powerful impact. This means that your fastest route to a new belief may be as simple as keeping a daily affirmation journal.

3. Manage Your Mood

When you’re working with autosuggestion, remember that the most important factor to consider is how you feel when you are thinking the thought.

When you feel good, you are creating an empowering belief, but when you feel bad, any affirmation you use may just reinforce the limiting beliefs you already hold.

As Napoleon Hill writes in Think and Grow Rich: “Remember, therefore, when reading aloud the statement of your desire, that the mere reading of the words is of no consequence unless you mix emotion, or feeling, with your words.”

This means that you need to begin to prioritize how you feel, not only in the moment in which you are working with your affirmation or written statements of desire, but all day, every day. Begin to raise your vibration by constantly focusing on the good things in your life, and managing your mood.

For tips on how to do this, you can see our list of happiness hacks to help you feel better now.

How to Use Autosuggestion

4. Create a Personal Mantra

The next autosuggestion technique is to create a personal mantra. This is similar to an affirmation, but is generally shorter, and reflects a more defining element of who you are, and how you want to act.

For example, whereas you might have an affirmation that is a few sentences describing how you want to feel more abundant, or more peaceful, or more loving, the personal mantra would be a truncated version of that.

Often, a single word works best, as it is easy to invoke consistently throughout the day. So, your mantra may simply be: “peace,” “love,” or “abundance.”

Then, as you move through your day, repeating your personal mantra. You will begin to see evidence of it everywhere. You might see abundance in the overwhelming number of leaves on a tress, or feel peace in the softness of the morning breeze. The point is: you begin to embody the feeling you wish to create, which brings us to our next technique…

5. Act As If

Autosuggestion will not work for you until you fully believe, without a shadow of a doubt, that you already are the state you wish to create for yourself.

While thinking that something is “on its way to you” may be helpful when you’re starting out, ultimately you need to develop complete faith in your beliefs.

Faith always shows itself through your actions. This means that to embody the desire, you must act as if you already have it. Ask yourself how the “you” who has already achieved your goal would act, and then do your best (given the circumstances available to you) to make the same decisions and actions as that ‘you’ would.

6. Visualize Your Desired State

If you find it difficult to act as if something has already happened, then you can also use visualization to help you feel into the state of having already achieved it.

When you visualize, you close your eyes to the world around you and focus as clearly as possible on your goal. You imagine yourself living every single detail of it, and having a vivid, vibrant, and exciting experience.

To help you with this, you could make a vision board, or check out these easy visualization techniques.

How to Use Autosuggestion

7. Leverage The Momentum of Thought

If you understand how The Law of Attraction works, you know that the key to manifesting anything you want rests with your ability to manage the momentum of thought.

There are two primary things to consider. First, you must make sure you are “headed in the right direction,” and, second, you must stay with that energy for as long as you can.

The basic route is simple: when you feel negative, you want to think a more general thought. When you feel positive, you want to think a more specific thought.

As you do this, you will find you can gain control over your momentum. As you work your way into more specific, positive ideas about your goal, you increase the momentum you hold towards them, strengthening your beliefs and causing them to manifest more quickly.

8. Set Your Intention, Every Day

Lastly, remember that autosuggestion is a long-term process. You can’t expect to apply these techniques for a few days or a month and see dramatic changes in your life.

How long the process takes depends on how strong your limiting beliefs are. You can’t expect to overcome a belief you’ve held for decades in the span of just a few weeks. The key is to wake up every day and set your intention to recreate your beliefs, and begin each day by instilling your new, desired belief within yourself.

Persistence, more than any other quality, is the single most helpful trait you can develop.

If you can follow these simple techniques and autosuggestion examples, then you’ll find that you’ll be able to create any belief you want for yourself. As you create those beliefs, you will gradually release limiting ideas you hold, and place yourself on the path to be, do, or have anything you choose.

How to Use Autosuggestion

Auto suggestion is a process of suggestion in which the person unconsciously supplies or consciously attempts to supply the means of influencing his own behaviour or beliefs.

Through the dominating thoughts which one permits to remain in the conscious mind, (whether these thoughts be negative or positive, is immaterial), the principle of auto-suggestion voluntarily reaches the subconscious mind and influences it with these thoughts.

NO THOUGHT, whether it be negative or positive, CAN ENTER THE SUBCONSCIOUS MIND WITHOUT THE AID OF THE PRINCIPLE OF AUTO-SUGGESTION, with the exception of thoughts picked up from the ether. Stated differently, all sense impressions which are perceived through the five senses, are stopped by the CONSCIOUS thinking mind, and may be either passed on to the subconscious mind, or rejected, at will. The conscious faculty serves, therefore, as an outer-guard to the approach of the subconscious.

THE CONSCIOUS SELF AND THE UNCONSCIOUS SELF

In order to understand properly the phenomena of suggestion, or to speak more correctly of auto suggestion, it is necessary to know that two absolutely distinct selves exist within us. Both are intelligent, but while one is conscious the other is unconscious. For this reason the existence of the latter generally escapes notice. It is however easy to prove its existence if one merely takes the trouble to examine certain phenomena and to reflect a few moments upon them.

We possess within us a force of incalculable power, which, when we handle it unconsciously is often prejudicial to us. If on the contrary we direct it in a conscious and wise manner, it gives us the mastery of ourselves and allows us not only to escape and to aid others to escape, from physical and mental ills, but also to live in relative happiness, whatever the conditions in which we may find ourselves.

HOW TO USE AUTO SUGGESTIONS

Auto suggestion is the art of manifesting things in your life by putting focus on them and repeating mentally or verbally what you wish to manifest. It is a very helpful way to attract money, friendship or love into your life. It is also an effective method for ending bad habits.

EXAMPLES OF AUTO SUGGESTIONS

Do not spend your time in thinking of illness you might have, for if you have no real ones you will create artificial ones.

When you make conscious auto suggestions, do it naturally, simply, with conviction, and above all without any effort. If unconscious and bad auto suggestions are so often realized, it is because they are made without effort.

Be sure that you will obtain what you want, and you will obtain it, so long as it is within reason.

To become master of oneself it is enough to think that one is becoming so. . . . Your hands tremble, your steps falter, tell yourself that all that is going to cease, and little by little it will disappear. It is not in me but in yourself that you must have confidence, for it is in yourself alone that dwells the force which can cure you. My part simply consists in teaching you to make use of that force.

Things are not for us what they are, but what they seem; this explains the contradictory evidence of persons speaking in all good faith.

By believing oneself to be the master of one’s thoughts one becomes so.

Everyone of our thoughts, good or bad, becomes concrete, materializes, and becomes in short a reality.

We are what we make ourselves and not what circumstances make us.

Whoever starts off in life with the idea: “I shall succeed”, always does succeed because he does what is necessary to bring about this result. If only one opportunity presents itself to him, and if this opportunity has, as it were, only one hair on its head, he seizes it by that one hair. Further, he often brings about unconsciously or not, propitious circumstances.

He who on the contrary always doubts himself, never succeeds in doing anything. He might find himself in the midst of an army of opportunities with heads of hair like Absalom, and yet he would not see them and could not seize a single one, even if he had only to stretch out his hand in order to do so. And if he brings about circumstances, they are generally unfavorable ones. Do not then blame fate, you have only yourself to blame.

Always think that what you have to do is easy, if possible. In this state of mind you will not spend more of your strength than just what is necessary; if you consider it difficult, you will spend ten, twenty times more strength than you need; in other words you will waste it.

Auto suggestion is an instrument which you have to learn how to use just as you would for any other instrument. An excellent gun in inexperienced hands only gives wretched results, but the more skilled the same hands become, the more easily they place the bullets in the target.

Conscious aut osuggestion, made with confidence, with faith, with perseverance, realizes itself mathematically, within reason.

When certain people do not obtain satisfactory results with auto suggestion, it is either because they lack confidence, or because they make efforts, which is the more frequent case. To make good suggestions it is absolutely necessary to do it without effort. The latter implies the use of the will, which must be entirely put aside. One must have recourse exclusively to the imagination.

Many people who have taken care of their health all their life in vain, imagine that they can be immediately cured by auto suggestion. It is a mistake, for it is not reasonable to think so. It is no use expecting from suggestion more than it can normally produce, that is to say, a progressive improvement which little by little transforms itself into a complete cure, when that is possible.

The means employed by the healers all go back to auto suggestion, that is to say that these methods, whatever they are, words, incantations, gestures, staging, all produce in the patient the auto suggestion of recovery.

Every illness has two aspects unless it is exclusively a mental one. Indeed, on every physical illness a mental one comes and attaches itself. If we give to the physical illness the coefficient 1, the mental illness may have the coefficient 1, 2, 10, 20, 50, 100, and more. In many cases this can disappear instantaneously, and if its coefficient is a very high one, 100 for instance, while that of the physical ailment is 1, only this latter is left, a 101st of the total illness; such a thing is called a miracle, and yet there is nothing miraculous about it.

Contrary to common opinion, physical diseases are generally far more easily cured than mental ones.

Buffon used to say: “Style is the man.” We would put in that: “Man is what he thinks”. The fear of failure is almost certain to cause failure, in the same way as the idea of success brings success, and enables one always to surmount the obstacles that may be met with.

Conviction is as necessary to the suggester as to his subject. It is this conviction, this faith, which enables him to obtain results where all other means have failed.

It is not the person who acts, it is the method.

You can be whatever you want to be just by changing your words, or your mindset towards something or work. This can be easily done by using the power of autosuggestion to your subconscious mind and make it do whatever you want from it.

How to Use AutosuggestionThe power of subconscious mind

Your Subconscious has the power to do everything you want!

Auto-Suggestion to mind

When you have told yourself to rest, concentrate, exercise, relax, use self-suggestion. Auto-suggestion is the most simple solution to reprogramming our subconscious mind. Sooner or later, each of us used self-suggestion in our lives. The problem is that a significant portion of us use self-suggestion to focus on negative rather than positive activities. For example, we claim, I’m exhausted, I’m powerless, and then wonder why we feel like that.

It has been said in antiquated writings, The force of death and life stays in words. This means that words are revolutionary to the extent where they can either make or devastate you. On these lines, we should ideally use terms to concentrate on positive rather than negative — vitality sources where consideration is given. When you think you’re nasty, that’s how you’re going to be, and if you believe you’re happy and comfortable, that’s how you’re going to turn up because your body’s language can turn you.

Positive persistence is the most straightforward way to saddle the strength of self-suggestion. These are amazing and optimistic words that we continuously say in our hearts and mind until they are incorporated into our subconscious mind. The force of self-suggestion is immense and can be used in a significant way in the fields of well-being, recovery, protection, kinship, or career.

Auto-Suggestion Tricks – Use your Autosuggestion positively

Some easy things that you can do to make sure you think and act positively and using the power of autosuggestion :

1. Eradicate negative thoughts

Start reflecting on your self-talk. No matter where you get into negative self-talk, particularly inward speech that communicates panic, danger, or self-hatred, erases or removes it. Then, push it with more motivating positive phrases.

2. Use of Proclamations

Optimistic proclamations are way beyond that; they sound fantastic narratives and optimistic interpretations.

3. Using excess repetition

Using repetitive, monotonous tasks as an open door for self-programming with self-suggestion. Many people want to use proclamations in the mist when walking, waiting for the bus at the bus station, or flying.

4. Using feelings

In terms of making self-suggestion effective, senses must be activated. The more critical self-suggesting you are, the more convincing it is.

5. Bit by bit method

Lay back and forth in a pleasant spot – your workplace, your house (bedroom, garden or terrace) or between nature and Choose a goal or an aim to concentrate on. Relax your entire body, and take a few deep, full breaths.

Harmonize your internal speech, and interact with the desire to acknowledge this purpose or target. Start thinking about the achievement of the goal or the acceptance of your expectations. Make an imaginative picture simple and point by point, using each of the five senses. Find the goals. Finish with a steady eye on the results of the target or objective. Repeat this process at least once a day, for about 10 minutes.

Apply this…

This is the way you can train your subconscious using the power of autosuggestion. I have my self applied this technique in my life and I have achieved success. You might get inspired by my story and will be more confident regarding the subconscious: My success as a blogger – The CAR that blogging bought for me.

This is a free version of Dr. Emile Coue’s seminal work on autosuggestion, “Self Mastery”. It is one of the earliest self-help books, and the techniques described within remain very potent.

The Use Of Autosuggestion (Part 1)

Let us now return to the point where I said that we can control and lead our imagination, just as a torrent or an unbroken horse can be controlled. To do so, it is enough in the first place to know that this is possible (of which fact almost everyone is ignorant) and secondly, to know by what means it can be done. Well, the means is very simple; it is that which we have used every day since we came into the world, without wishing or knowing it and absolutely unconsciously, but which unfortunately for us, we often use wrongly and to our own detriment. This means is autosuggestion .

Whereas we constantly give ourselves unconscious autosuggestions, all we have to do is to give ourselves conscious ones, and the process consists in this: first, to weigh carefully in one’s mind the things which are to be the object of the autosuggestion, and according as they require the answer “yes” or “no” to repeat several times without thinking of anything else: “This thing is coming”, or “this thing is going away”; “this thing will, or will not happen, etc., etc. . . .” [*] If the unconscious accepts this suggestion and transforms it into an autosuggestion, the thing or things are realized in every particular.

[*] Of course the thing must be in our power.

Thus understood, autosuggestion is nothing but hypnotism as I see it, and I would define it in these simple words: The influence of the imagination upon the moral and physical being of mankind . Now this influence is undeniable, and without returning to previous examples, I will quote a few others.

If you persuade yourself that you can do a certain thing, provided this thing be possible , you will do it however difficult it may be. If on the contrary you imagine that you cannot do the simplest thing in the world, it is impossible for you to do it, and molehills become for you unscalable mountains.

Such is the case of neurasthenics, who, believing themselves incapable of the least effort, often find it impossible even to walk a few steps without being exhausted.

I know certain people who predict in advance that they will have a sick headache on a certain day, in certain circumstances, and on that day, in the given circumstances, sure enough, they feel it. They brought their illness on themselves, just as others cure theirs by conscious autosuggestion .

If others again are happy or unhappy, it is that they imagine themselves to be so, for it is possible for two people in exactly the same circumstances to be, the one perfectly happy , the other absolutely wretched .

“Most persons are so absorbed in the contemplation of the outside world that they are wholly oblivious to what is passing on within themselves.” – Nikola Tesla

Whether you realize it or not, you’ve probably been using autosuggestion techniques your entire life. Maybe you’ve never even heard of the word autosuggestion, but this concept has been around for centuries. Have you ever told yourself to smile, concentrate or just breathe? Then you’ve already been doing it!

Affirmations may seem like a new age concept, but affirmations or autosuggestion are nothing new. They’ve been used throughout the centuries to benefit all aspects of life. Whether it’s success, happiness or meeting goals, affirmations can help to make your life rich with positivity and gratitude. And even beyond that, your mind is a powerful tool that can allow you to make immense changes in your life.

What is Autosuggestion?

Autosuggestion is a simple and easy mind programming tool. It includes mind power techniques that are easily accessible and can be done anywhere. It’s something you probably do naturally. The problem is that the majority of people use autosuggestion techniques subconsciously so they’re not even aware they are doing it.

That means you could be negatively impacting yourself as well. Do you have negative self-talk? Do you put yourself down? Do you feel like your goals are impossible to reach and you need to be more realistic? These subconscious thoughts program your mind.

“Whatever we plant in our subconscious mind and nourish with repetition and emotion will one day become a reality.” Earl Nightingale

Autosuggestion is all about describing your own thoughts, feelings and beliefs in a way that influences your behavior and state of mind. In turn, this can have an impact on your life. As you can imagine, this can change your life both positively or negatively depending on how you harness the power of autosuggestion.

For example, someone might talk about feeling sick and tired and then find themselves feeling very low and unmotivated. The mind is powerful, even when used unconsciously. You can build yourself up to feel invincible and conquer your goals, or you can break yourself down day by day until everything seems pointless.

To make sure autosuggestion has a positive impact on your life, you can use positive affirmations. Affirmations are positively formed sentences that you want to ingrain in your brain. When you hear something enough, it has the power to influence your subconscious thoughts, behavior, and even make a large impact on your current and future life.

While autosuggestion can help you to achieve a more positive way of thinking, it won’t do all the work. You still need to grab every opportunity and possibility as it comes. It’s one half changing your thinking patterns and one half putting those thoughts and belief into action, even if it feels unnatural at first. By practicing autosuggestion regularly, you can realize your full potential in all areas of life.

Freedom. Happiness. Weirdness.

How to Use Autosuggestion

When we are facing difficulties and feel pain, we likely to think “nothing good will happen”, “it is my fault”, “what should I do now” etc. We regret and sink deep in depression.
You shouldn’t endure your feelings, but you also need to find out a way to find light and move forward.

By seeking a new way, you can often find new ideas and pathways you have never thought of, and have brighter future. However, sometimes you are too depressed to think positively. If so, give “autosuggestion” to yourself and try to step forward.

Hypnogenesis and autosuggestion are used for treatment of psychosomatic disorder. If you have a will to step toward better direction, and have positive purposes, autosuggestion is always by your side.

Many people might have questions of how you can autosuggest, or whether it is possible for untrained person.

Autosuggestion is nothing special, it is just a way to “encourage yourself”. Of course, you should see specialized doctor or therapist you can rely on for treatment with complicated techniques, such as deep hypnogenesis and previous life treatment. However autosuggestion is what you can do by yourself and you don’t need to worry. By giving autosuggestions, we can inspire our “potential” and can be conscious to control ourselves.

Here are how to autosuggest.

Autosuggestion is not difficult. It is similar to imagery rehearsal. Tell yourself your ideal directions, prospects, and what you wish for, and project them to your mind to make them come true.

For example, you tell yourself before going to bed, “I need to get up at 6 in the morning, and I can wakeup refreshingly at 6”. If you can get up at that time, your autosuggestion is successful. In this case, it is very effective to image yourself waking up refreshingly or image a clock with the time you need to get up before going to sleep.

Autosuggestion can be done basically the same with the example above. It means, “wish and image the scene of your ideal”. Some people are already doing same thing as the example above, without noticing that is autosuggestion. It is easy and familiar way, and becomes more effective as we repeat it.

To have higher effect, it is important to relax when giving autosuggestion. With extreme tension that “I MUST do this” often fails to have expected result.

That is because your mind and body are too stressed that a “suggestion” can’t enter you properly, and causes inverse effect.

Stress of a certain extent is good for success, but too much of it can drive you to the corner. Live when they should, is the way of human. Concentrate on what is in front of you.

Though, it is difficult to get rid of stress. There are some ways to relax using autosuggestion and autohypnosis.

①Listen to CDs for hypnogenesis, such as Hemi-sync CDs

You can relax by listening to CDs for relaxation, healing, sleeping, or stress relief. If you go back and forth with your thoughts, listen to specialized CDs. There are preferences of music, so find what is comfortable for you.

②Tighten and give stress to your body, and relax (stress loosening method)

This is the way to relax by repeat tightening and loosening of your muscle. You feel relaxed after repeating this for several times. If you feel fatigue to a certain part of your body, it is recommended to concentrate on that part.

③Burn incense and aromatic oil

Many of you should have experienced an effect of scent to relax. Relax in your body with your favorite aromatic oil or incense.

④Take a bath

When you are stressed, your body and muscle are also tightened. Taking a bath of suitable temperature (not too hot) can loosen your body. Your mentality will be relaxed at the same time. If you have other ways you want to relax, try it. It is the best way for you.

⑤Repeat by yourself

Repeat what you want, as you tell it to yourself. By saying out loud and listen from ears, the positive images enter you. If you cannot relax when talking, try the tip ⑥, or you can just repeat in your mind.

⑥Record your voice and listen when autosuggest

This is a way to give suggestion from hearing. By calmly listening to the voice of suggestion, you can take it into you.

⑦Post on the wall, and repeat in daily life

Write down your goals or inspiring quotes on paper and post them on a wall. You can repeatedly have autosuggestion from sights. When autosuggesting with concentration, stare at your posts and take in the images.

⑧Repeat with the image of accomplishing your prospect

Imagine scenery of your ideal, with fully using the power of imagination, and repeat your suggestions. It connects your suggestion and the prospect, and makes autosuggestion easier.

⑨Imagine your future with timeline

When you read sentences of suggestion, you can imagine a story of what you want to be. If it has a course of story, you can imagine easier and you can establish strong prospect.

I have introduced 9 ways for relaxation and autosuggestion.
There is no best way, so you can combine several ways. The effect differs from people, so try and find the best ways for you.

Autosuggestion also known as self-suggestion has been debated throughout the years if you could really change your life and become what you want to become by using thoughts and repeated actions.

Questions have been raised if it works or not but based on my research, people whom I have spoken to, articles and books I’ve read, I guess the system of autosuggestion really works and because of this, you can harness it to help you quit smoking for good.

Autosuggestion is the process of changing your belief, altering mental associations and providing instructions for your mind to follow by manipulating the subconscious mind by feeding it with repetitive thoughts and actions.

So in short autosuggestion is simply like hypnotism, but unlike hypnotism where the suggestions are coming from another person, this time the suggestions will be provided by the individual himself, thus also called self-suggestion.

There are many well known stories, countless of them on how people changed their life through this process. You may have heard about the The Secret a movie about harnessing the power of autosuggestion in order to obtain what you want; it may be love, happiness, wealth, health or anything that you desire.

By constantly thinking about it especially the end results, seeing yourself already the person whom you vision to be, it will soon materialize in its physical form making your dreams come true. Now are you fired up to use autosuggestion to quit smoking for good?

The only book I know that has explained the step by step procedure of autosuggestion bringing actual results is a book by Napoleon Hill – Think and Grow Rich (it’s a good book), it’s so general that you could apply it to any aspect in your life. I won’t be able to discuss here step by step on how to do it by I’ll do my best to explain and expound it so you could grasp the principles behind it.

First, set a date when are you going to quit. Then write down an affirmation statement (I’ve placed an example below), then read this statement several times each day specially during the time you wake up and during the time before you go to sleep, read, read and read until you can feel that it’s already happening in your life.

I, Rudy, hereby declare that on this day (set a date), I will be an ex-smoker. I will have a healthy life and will be able to save money that I can use productively. My family will be safe from secondhand smoke , I will smell good and I will earn the respect of my community and society once again.

In return, I will do my best to quit smoking permanently, it will become my passion and obsession. I will read quit smoking books, articles, eBooks, subscribe to this blog and do other activities that will help me quit. I will do everything at all cost to quit.

I am now an ex-smoker and I will never again live the life of a miserable smoker.

Next, visualize that you are already an ex-smoker, see yourself declining other people offering you cigarettes, see yourself smelling good and not stinky, see yourself saving a bunch of money, see yourself happily exercising breathing easily and smoothly, be creative and always keep these thoughts in your mind.

While you work, while you eat, while you walk and while you drive (just make sure it won’t cause any accidents), visualize yourself living the life of an ex-smoker.

Most importantly, you should believe (don’t doubt) that everything will come true and soon you will be surprised once you find yourself that you have quit smoking for good successfully.

This process helped me a lot most especially during my relapse. Not only did I carry with me an affirmation statement, I also carried with me excerpts from the book of Allen Carr’s Easy Way to Quit Smoking (I highly recommend this book). How to Use Autosuggestion

In simple words, autosuggestion is a self-suggestion through which all the dominating thoughts enter your subconscious mind and affect it and that in turn affect your attitude and behavior in life. The thought which gets repeated or occupy maximum time in your conscious mind automatically become dominating thoughts and enter your subconscious mind. In order to make positive changes into your life, you have to be aware about what kind of thoughts your conscious mind perceives through sense organs and focuses on the positive one so that it becomes dominating and enter your subconscious mind.

You cannot control the actions of your subconscious mind directly with ease but you can modify its effect by controlling your conscious mind. Once you control your conscious mind, you can control your subconscious mind indirectly. Your conscious mind is a platform where all actions begin. Through conscious autosuggestion, you can plant the seed of positive thoughts to make your life much more fulfilling by realizing your desire.

Further, whatever you intend to achieve in your life, make proper use of autosuggestion to translate your desire into reality. For example, if you intend to be fluent in any particular language and working upon it, phrases your desire into the progressive present tense like.” I am becoming the confident, in particular, language, day by day.” Add your emotions while chatting your desire twice in a day for at least one months and visualize yourself as a confident speaker in that language. Once you start following this step, your subconscious mind will attract all the necessary ingredient to make you confident in that language.

Finally, always phrase your desire into positive sentence. However, mere chanting of phrases will not help you to realize your desired goal unless combined with your emotions and visual of yourself in already possession of that desired goal. Keep in mind, autosuggestion is a great tool to program your subconscious mind to translate your desire into reality.

I am looking for the best way to implement autosuggestion in ecommerce using solr or elasticsearch.

I guess using ngram analyzer is not a good way if data is big.

Please suggest me any link or your opinion ?

Hi Mugeesh, autocompletion world is not that simple as you would expect.
Which kind of auto suggestion are you interested in ?

First of all, simple string autosuggestion or document autosuggestion ? (
with more additional field to show then the label)
Are you interested in the analysis for the text to suggest ? Fuzzy
suggestions ? exact “beginning of the phrase” suggestions ? infix
suggestions ?
Try to give some example and we could help better .
There is a specific suggester component, so it is likely to be useful to
you, but let’s try to discover more.

I’ve similar query regarding autosuggestion. My use case is as below:

1. User enters product name (say Nokia)
2. I want suggestions along with the category with which the product
belongs. (e.g Nokia belongs to “electronics” and “mobile” category) so I
want suggestion like Nokia in electronics and Nokia in mobile.

I am able to get the suggestions using the OOTB AnalyzingInFixSuggester but
not sure how I can get the category along with the suggestion (can this
category be considered as facet of the suggestion??)

Any help/pointer is highly appreciated.

Freedom. Happiness. Weirdness.

Once you decide on a path of action, the subconscious mind will guide you through it to achieve your end goal, manifested by the communication between the conscious and the subconscious mind. same field with pipe separation and extract from it?

If you need only the category *payloadField* should be what you need .
I never used it as a feature but it is there [1] .
As Reth suggested, at the moment Solr supports only one payloadField,
ignoring the others ( code confirms this).

In the case you want to show the label AND the category AND whatever ( in
Amazon style to make it simple) .
A very straighforward solution is to model a specific Solr Field for your
product collection.
This field will contain the name of the product, analyzed according your
need.
Then your autosuggester will simply hit that field on each char typed, and
you can show the entire document in the suggestions ( with all the fields
you want) .
Or we take a look to the implementation and we contribute the support for
multiple *payloadField*.

  • Autosuggestion help?

Recently, I’ve been trying to use autosuggestion to help get me some LDs.

I read that you have to convince yourself of it’s truthfulness.

“I will realize I’m dreaming.” But while I’m doing this I realize that this isn’t what I truly believe.

Can anyone give me some tips on how to do this?

I mean. how do convince myself that it’s true when I know it’s not.

Maybe I’m not right for this technique but I would like to try it.

    Thanks

I use autosuggestion every night and I’ve never relied on “believing” in the mantra. I just. say it (and I have had constant success) . Not all of them will work: unfortunately it seems like your current choice isn’t fitting well – you’ve just got to find the one that works for you, and you’ll be set.

Experiment with the ones presented by the MILD tutorial. If those don’t work, it would be fine for you to alter them or come up with something you are comfortable with on your own.

I think it’s important to note that you don’t have to necessarily believe it will work, only realize that if you do everything right, it could.

Phrasing seems very important in my case. The shorter and more direct the statement, the better. Also, when I use autosuggestion to influence my coming dreams, being intentionally vague works out better. For example:

“I know I’m dreaming” – Works fairly well. Short, sweet.
“I’ll wake up inside my dreams” – Doesn’t work at all. Too long. Too specific.

“I’m dreaming of galaxies” – Works fairly well. Gives me a space related dream

    50% of the time.
“I’m dreaming I’m in a space ship sailing through an asteroid field.” – Doesn’t work at all.

Using vague expressions works well for me, but once in a great while it backfires. and I have a crappy dream. That’s the risk you take when making a wish in four words or less

How to Use Your Autosuggestion Meditation

How to Use Autosuggestion1) Watch the preparation videos to prepare your conscious mind before starting your break free from addiction meditation: AutoSuggestion Preparation .

    2) Play the Break Free meditation before going to bed: Every evening, while lying in bed, just before going to sleep.

    3) Listen to each autosuggestion repeated 7 times. The bell will then sound twice to signal that it is your turn to repeat the autosuggestion (affirmation) between the bell sounds.

    4) Repeat the autosuggestion between the bell sounds. It is best if you can speak the affirmation out loud, but if you are lying in bed with another person and feel self-conscious about this, then repeat it to yourself while simply moving your lips.

    5) Always maintain a gentle, effortless smile during the entire meditation audio. This is very important because a smile will automatically create an emotional response in your body by releasing endorphins and serotonin into your system—which in turn greatly enhances the effectiveness of the meditation and your ability to internalize subconsciously the affirmations.

    6) Play the Majesty meditation in the morning upon waking up. This can be done either in bed. Or if you have a peaceful area or garden at your home, suitable for meditation. Find more details at: The Majesty Meditation.

Relaxed State- The best frame of mind to incorporate any novel idea is a relaxed frame of mind. If you think that this could work most effectively with the TV on while you cook tomorrow’s dinner, think again. Granted, it can’t hurt, but in terms of efficiency, try to recite the autosuggestions when your mind and body are at rest. For some people, it could be accomplished before they leave the house and for others, it would be after a soothing bath following a long day’s work. Progressive muscle relaxation techniques or even meditation are excellent options before starting out each day.

Consistency- If you want to truly notice any sustained benefits from reciting autosuggestions, it needs to be done consistently. Reciting them haphazardly and without much consideration doesn’t really get you very far in terms of how these mantras work. The unconscious mind likes consistency and it could brush a statement aside if it’s not done on a regular basis. Amount- Some say 10 times twice a day while others say 20 times twice a day. I will argue that there is no specified amount. .

    Solution Summary

This posting will address how to properly implement autosuggestion from the wording one uses to the type of state one should be in. The human mind is a powerful tool and welcomes all positive and helpful feedback. By training the mind to speak positive, the person can actually start to think and behave in a positive light. The important factor is learning how to use autosuggestion the right way, so it can begin to open up new avenues that you may not have known existed in your current conscious frame of mind.

Health and Family, We Care The Case

Quantum physics is a subject that goes over most people’s heads, unless of course you’re someone who has a penchant for complex scientific theories. So it’s no surprise that not a lot of people are aware of the fact that quantum physics can have a significant impact on a person’s life. And even those who are at least familiar with the basics of quantum physics (like I am) are often dubious by the legitimacy of such claims.

When I heard about Greg & Alvin’s latest offering – Quantum Success Secrets – and their claims of how one could apply quantum physics concepts to improve their lives, I thought they were finally out of their minds. No matter how hard I tried I couldn’t see the link between quantum physics and how I could, say, bump up my income threefold.

But I’ve known Greg for some time now; I know the kinds of products he comes up with and his track record with me thus far has been pretty good. So I dismissed his claims as one of his unique marketing strategies (Greg’s known to be quite dramatic in his pitches), gave him benefit of the doubt, and checked out Quantum Success Secrets.

So is Quantum Success Secrets really as good as Greg & Alvin claim it to be?

I’ll be frank with you: You might think Quantum Success Secrets is a scam, especially if you’re expecting a quick fix to all of life’s problems. Quantum Success Secrets isn’t so much a “miracle cure” as it is a guidebook that teaches you how to attain the “Quantum Mind”. The “Quantum Mind”, as Greg & Alvin put it, is a state of mind that is conducive for the Law of Attraction and the “Universal forces” to work in your favour.

In essence, they reveal the secrets to achieving better control over your life, using Law of Attraction techniques that, coincidentally, are similar to quantum physics theories. While I suspect that Greg may have been taking “artistic license” with certain quantum physics theories to sensationalize his latest offering to a degree, I have to say that everything taught within the pages of Quantum Success Secrets is considerably solid.

For example, in the first chapter, Greg & Alvin illustrates the differences between the normal, human mind, and the Quantum Mind. They explain how the human mind works, and the techniques one may be able to use to break through the various barriers that keep the human mind from “evolving” into the Quantum state of mind.

Citing the works of several notable individuals in the field of self improvement, Greg & Alvin convey their understanding of how the Quantum philosophy, and how everyone – regardless of their situation, background, or intelligence – can make the philosophy work for them, in clear, concise explanations that any average Joe would understand quite easily.

They also teach readers how to tap into the “Quantum will” that gets them achieving more than they’ve ever thought possible. They even use current cultural references to get their points across, so the book comes across as refreshingly relatable… at least compared to some of other similarly themed books I’ve come across recently.

Now, you’re probably thinking that theory is all well and good, but will the book bring quantifiable benefits to your life?

The answer to that is a simple, resounding, yes. If you’ve managed to get a complete grasp of the techniques taught within the pages of Quantum Success Secrets, you will have learned how to take full control of your life, regardless of the situations you’ll face as you continue on your journey in life.

As they themselves says in the book, the success you’ll enjoy won’t be immediate; you can’t apply the techniques you’ve learned for merely a month and expect a lifetime of good things to come falling into your lap. The key here is patience, as you’ll need the discipline of mind to follow through his teachings and achieve for yourself Quantum Success in your life.
