How to watch france vs croatia in the 2018 world cup finals online

Are you ready for some football? No, it’s not time for the Super Bowl. It’s the 2018 FIFA World Cup, the biggest football (okay, fine, soccer) tournament in the world. This year’s tournament kicks off today in Russia. Matches will run over the course of the next month, leading up to the finals on July 15th at 11:00am ET / 8:00am PT.

Since the matches are taking place in Russia, the games will air pretty early if you live in the US, with the final — airing at 5:00pm local time if you’re in Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow —set for Sunday morning. So that means you’ll probably want a way to keep up with the matches when you’re away from your TV. You can check out the full schedule here to see when your favorite teams are playing. (Editor’s note: The Verge would never condone goofing off at work to watch some of the greatest soccer stars in the world play for glory and fame in a tournament that only takes place every four years because that would be irresponsible.)

So whether you’re enjoying the games at home, in a browser at your desk next to a spreadsheet, or you’re sneaking in a few minutes on your phone between meetings, here‘s everything you’ll need to stream the World Cup on all your devices.

Traditional broadcast TV / cable:

Fox has the broadcast rights for the entire 2018 World Cup in the US, and the network will divide the matches between the broadcast Fox and cable-only Fox Sports channels: 38 games will air on Fox, tending toward the more significant matches, while the other 26 matches will be available on Fox Sports. And if you just care about catching the final, climatic match between France and Croatia, you’ll want to head straight to your local Fox affiliate. For a full breakdown, check Fox’s schedule here.

If you have a cable login, you can also live stream all the matches online at Fox Sports’ website and the Fox Sports Go app (iOS / Android / Xbox One / Roku / Fire TV) for a variety of set-top boxes and mobile devices.

Additionally, for the first time, you’ll be able to watch the World Cup in glorious 4K and HDR — assuming you’ve got the right TV and cable provider. If you’ve got one of Hisense’s H6E, H8E, or Laser models, you can watch 4K HDR streams of every World Cup match with the Fox Sports World Cup app (you’ll still need a cable login, though). AT&T’s DirecTV network is broadcasting all games in 4K HDR, and Dish is showing 56 of the 64 games live in 4K HDR. Comcast Xfinity X1 customers will be able to watch on-demand a day later in 4K HDR, and Layer3 TV / Altice will also be broadcasting in 4K.

No cable? Try the internet:

If you don’t have a cable login, you’re not totally out of luck. Internet TV services like Hulu, YouTube TV, Sling TV, DirecTV Now, Fubo, and PlayStation Vue all offer Fox and Fox Sports, so you‘ll still be able to watch all the matches if you’re a subscriber. Again, if you just care about the final, that’s on Fox, so make sure your service offers it in your area before you sign up.

Most of these services also offer free trials: Sling TV, Hulu with Live TV, DirecTV Now, Fubo, and YouTube TV all give you one free week, and PlayStation Vue gives you five days. That’s not nearly long enough for the full tournament, but if you combine a couple of them, you might be able to make it to the finals in July. Or you could just pay for a month of service and then cancel it afterward, which is probably easier.

Virtual reality

That’s right, for the first time, you’ll also be able to enjoy a few select World Cup matches in VR through the Oculus Venues service: the Germany vs. Mexico game at 11AM ET on June 17th, Portugal vs. Morocco at 8AM ET on June 20th, Brazil vs. Costa Rica at 8AM ET on June 22nd, and England vs. Panama at 8AM ET on June 24th. Venues is supported by the Samsung Gear VR and Oculus Go.

Additionally, the Fox Sports VR app will have other World Cup games available for US viewers, although you’ll need to log in with a cable provider to view them.

Update, July TKTK 11:30AM: Updated post in preparation for the World Cup finals on July 16th.

Update, June 15th 11:30AM: Added information about 4K HDR streaming options for the World Cup.

Correction, June 14th 2:15PM: The article originally said that Fox’s Soccer Match Pass app would be streaming the World Cup. But the company has declined to stream the games through that subscription service. You’ll need cable credentials to watch via the Fox Sports app.

The FIFA World Cup is the most competitive football tournament and it’s always difficult to predict which team will last till the end. Every team, be it previous world cup winners or those participating for the first time, plays like a champion and so far its been a pleasure witnessing all that in the 2018 FIFA World Cup. teams like Ireland, Senegal, Japan has been a surprise package of the tournament. However, everything has to come to an end and now 30 teams including the likes of Brazil, Argentina, Germany, and Portugal are out, even before the Semi-Finals. Although nobody expected that, but we are now down to France who will be playing their 6th final and Croatia who has reached the final for the first time.

Many experts predicted any one of Argentina, Brazil, or Portugal to make it to the final, but not France and surely not Croatia. However, these two teams performed exceptionally and made it to the finals. Now its time to predict who will lift the trophy come the 15th of July. France may be the favorites, but Croatia has been more than amazing in the tournament and could take the trophy away from France.

How to watch france vs croatia in the 2018 world cup finals online

The FIFA 2018 World Cup final game is finally here, and we’ve got all the details for how to watch France and Croatia play for the championship.

The World Cup 2018 has been full of drama, not to mention amazing soccer, including two intense one-goal games in the semifinals. France beat Belgium 1-0 last Tuesday, and Croatia topped England 2-1 the next day, with a goal in extra time giving Croatia the edge. That set up the big France vs. Croatia match in the World Cup 2018 finals today.

What Channel Is the France vs. Croatia World Cup 2018 Game On?

Croatia and France are scheduled to play starting at 11 a.m. ET on Sunday, July 15. The game is being broadcast in English on Fox, and in Spanish on Telemundo.

It’s easy to watch Croatia vs. France in the World Cup finals for free. If you have even the most basic of satellite or cable TV packages, it most likely includes broadcast networks like Fox, CBS, and Telemundo. All you need to do is find the channel.

If you don’t have cable or any pay TV package, you can still watch the World Cup 2018 finals for free with a digital antenna. A digital antenna costs around $30, and it functions similarly to the old-fashioned “rabbit ears” antennas, only with a better picture and more channels. When you hook up a digital antenna to your TV, in most of the country you’ll be able to watch multiple local channels of over-the-air networks like Fox, PBS, ABC, and Telemundo totally for free.

How to Live Stream the France vs. Croatia Game Today

If you want to watch the World Cup final game today online, it’s a little more complicated than tuning in on TV. There are many different ways to live stream France vs. Croatia, and yes, it’s possible to stream the game for free.

We covered all the strategies in our previous, more comprehensive guide to watching the World Cup 2018. Here’s the gist:

Every World Cup game can be streamed in English with the Fox Sports Go app. There is no charge for downloading and watching via the app, but you must log in with an appropriate pay TV provider account to get access.

To get the Spanish broadcasts, you can stream World Cup games in any browser at, or with the Telemundo Deportes En Vivo or NBC Sports apps. Up until June 25, you could stream World Cup games live for free on Telemundo in a browser, without any log-in. Now, however, you can watch online for 30 minutes for free. After that, you must log in online with a pay TV account to live stream the World Cup that way.

Most live-streaming TV services will also let you watch the World Cup online. Services including Hulu Live, Fubo TV, DirecTV Now, Playstation Vue, Sling TV, and YouTube TV all have packages available with some or all of the channels broadcasting 2018 World Cup matches.

Each of these services has a free trial period, allowing you to watch at no charge for roughly one week. Just remember to cancel the service if you don’t want to pay the monthly fee, which will cost $20 and up.

Here’s what you need to know to watch the game

The 2018 World Cup will be played on Sunday as France takes on Croatia in a final nobody saw coming. France was a pre-tournament favorite, but Croatia wasn’t even looked at as a dark horse for many. The final is set for Sunday at 11 a.m. ET and will be broadcast in the states in English and Spanish. Here are the details:

The World Cup final is here, as France and Croatia will battle on soccer’s biggest stage for the championship on Sunday, July 15, at Moscow’s Luzhniki Stadium.

Making their third World Cup final appearance, France returns to the title match for the first time since 2006. Les Blues won the World Cup in 1998 over Brazil on home soil but lost to Italy in 2006.

Didier Deschamps’ side defeated Belgium 1-0 in the semifinals on Tuesday en route to the final and has seemed to cruise through the tournament.

Meanwhile, Croatia has expended more energy than any other team in Russia. It knocked out England in a dramatic 2-1 victory in extra time on Wednesday to reach the final for the first time. It’s gone to extra time in each of its three knockout stage matches, playing an added 90 minutes over the course of the competition.

France was a favorite before the tournament and will remain so Sunday, in part because of its depth and talent, and in part because it’ll enter the final so much fresher.

Here’s how to watch the match:

Time: 11 a.m. ET

TV Channel: FOX, Telemundo

Channel: Fox, Telemundo and NBC Universo
Stream Online: Hulu with Live TV or fuboTV (Try for free)

The final game of the 2018 World Cup should prove exciting as heavily-favored France takes on the underdog, Croatia. After pool play, Croatia defeated Denmark, Russia and England to advance to the final, while France beat Argentina, Uruguay and Belgium. Both teams won their groups, with France earning seven points (two wins, one draw) and Croatia finishing with nine (three wins). Croatia has scored 12 goals and allowed five while France has 10 goals and four against. This is the first trip to the final for Croatia; France won it in 1998 and were runners-up in 2006.

The game at Luzhniki Stadium, Moscow, starts at 6 p.m. local time, or 11 a.m. Eastern (8 a.m. Pacific). You can watch it live on Fox in English, or in Spanish on Telemundo and NBC Universo through your cable company. If you don’t have cable you can stream it via Hulu with Live TV, or fuboTV. This is the final, so you really should watch it live, but if you can’t you can use fuboTV’s cloud DVR feature to record the game and watch it later (just stay off social media, turn off the radio, don’t look at the tv, and whatever you do, don’t talk to anyone!).

Croatia seems to enjoy playing long games, as they went to penalties against Denmark and Russia, and beat England in extra time. Hopefully their players are well-rested, as they’re going to need every ounce of energy to beat a strong French team.

France & Croatia battle it out for the biggest prize in World football on Sunday evening. As they face off in the 2018 World Cup final in Moscow. For France, this is an opportunity to lift their second World Crown, having previously won the title on home soil in 1998. As for Croatia, this will be their first ever World Cup final and will be looking to upset an assured Les Bleus side.

The contest between the two sides is not short of history, as France defeated Croatia 2-0 in the 1998 semi-final on route to lifting the World Cup. Vatreni will be looking to get some revenge and become immortal in the process. You can watch the World Cup Final between France & Croatia via beIN SPORTS CONNECT.

Defensive stability has been the standout feature of this Les Bleus side under Didier Deschamps. Despite having a young side packed with attacking talent, it has been the rearguard that has taken the headlines. The centre-back pairing of Verane & Umtiti has been rock solid and again will be crucial if France is to go all the way again.

After losing the 2016 European Championship final on home soil, France will not take their opponents lightly, despite Croatia going to extra-time in their last three knockout games. Whilst a victory for Deschamps will mean that he joins Mario Zagallo and Franz Beckenbauer to have lifted the World Cup as a player and a coach.

The contest in the Luzhninki stadium is likely to be a tight and tetchy affair. Kylian Mbappé has the potential to light up the final, just as Zinedine Zidane did in 1998. The PSG attacker has three goals in the tournament and was the standout player in the 1-0 semi-final victory over Belgium. The 19-year old’s battle with defender Domagoj Vida will certainly be one to watch out for in the final.

France Predicted Team
Lloris; Pavard, Varane, Umtiti, Hernandez; Pogba, Kante; Mbappe, Griezmann, Matuidi; Giroud.

Croatia has overcome extra-time and penalties in their last three knockout games and will have the faith the World Cup is only 90 minutes away. The current Golden Generation of stars lead by Luca Modric have sparkled during the World Cup, putting performances to make the European nation proud.

Vatreni came from a goal down against England to defeat the Three Lions 2-1 in extra-time to seal their first ever World Cup final visit. Tiredness will certainly not be a factor for Zlatco Dalic’s charges who are on the cusp of making history.

The experience of the Croatian side could be a decisive factor when taking on a youthful Les Bleus in the final. The likes of Ivan Rakitic, Luka Modric & Mario Mandzukic have played in Champions League finals, and know exactly what it takes to win a football match. This was certainly clear in the semi-final against England, in which Croatia showed composure to battle back and get the vital extra-time winner and close out the contest.

Luka Modric is the driving force of this side and now has his eyes on the biggest trophy of them all. The Real Madrid midfielder has led by example as captain of the side, and at 32 now represents his final chance of winning the World Cup. Croatia will be happy to concede possession to the French, and the forward passing of Modric on the breakaway will be crucial if Croatia is to lift a maiden World Cup.

Croatia Predicted Team
Subasic; Vrsaljko, Lovren, Vida, Strinic; Rakitic, Brozovic; Rebic, Modric, Perisic; Mandzukic

It promises to be a fascinating encounter as France & Croatia battle it out for the World Cup. Watch the Live & Exclusive stream of the game on MAX HD3 & beIN SPORTS CONNECT.

Today is the final day of the 2018 World Cup. The next time we see a game that is of interest to this blog, it will be when Juventus is playing one of four friendlies in the United States. And, just as we have it, the final game of the World Cup will also be the final chance for their to be some Juventus vs. Juventus action this summer.

In one corner stands Mario Mandzukic and Croatia.

In the other corner stands Blaise Matuidi and France.

We might see Marko Pjaca come down out of the rafters where he’s been hanging out for pretty much all of the tournament, but that just seems very unlikely unless they have to take Mandzukic off with 10 security guards carrying him. (That is the only thing that would make him stop playing in a World Cup final, right?)

Pjaca or no Pjaca, the World Cup final pins the all-world talent of France against the classic underdog kind of story in Croatia. (Just don’t tell Mario his team is the underdog. I don’t want to get on his bad side.) A World Cup win for France will have people talking about a possible French dynasty starting up. A World Cup win for Croatia will have people saying how a country with only 4-plus million people were able to overcome the odds to get to the mountain top.

Now, Didier Deschamps has been criticized — and probably rightfully so — for his rather conservative approach despite have some of the best attacking and midfield talent in the world at his disposal. Whether he lets that loose against a Croatia team that has played 120 minutes of game time the last three knockout round fixtures will be a big thing hanging over this year’s final. Same goes for just how much Mandzukic and Croatia have left in the tank.

Let the game begin.

Get your fix now because we’ve still got a couple of weeks before Juventus starts up its four-game schedule of friendlies.
