How to Fix 9.90 Error in PSP

PSP X9 Script error issues.

Post by lata » Mon Nov 28, 2016 7:00 pm

A problem running scripts using PSP X9 appears to be associated with the update patches.
There are 3 updates usually installed in sequence as they are released.
However for new installations only Update 3 is required and indeed offered via the programs auto updates, Update 3 should include 1 and 2.
Not installing Updates 1 and 2 seems to be causing this problem.

Users are advised to download updates 1 , 2 , 3 in sequence.
Updates can be downloaded from
http://www.paintshoppro.com/en/support/updates/
then install the program followed by all patches.

Cancel any auto updates that the program throws at you as that will install 3, install updates manually.

PSP X9 install 19.0.0.96
Update 1 version 19.0.1.8 (installing this cured the errors)
Update 2 version 19.0.2.4
Update 3 version 19.1.0.29

Corel are aware of this problem and hopefully will release a fix shortly

Dear PSP Folks,
Great thank you for taking your time to contribute your observation about this issue here. Very appreciated!! First of all, please accept my sincere apology if there is any inconvenience caused. Fortunately, we have found the key point to reproduce this issue, although the root cause is still under investigating. But we assume it should relate with some of Python modules are lost to install into Update3 version. Here is a quick summary:

1. The issue just occurs when your PSPX9 version is
– Install PSPX9 GM version (19.0.0.96) full build
– Install PSPX9 Update3 version (19.1.0.29) full build
or
– Install PSPX9 GM version (19.0.0.96) full build and then get “Update3” patch update and install it. (19.1.0.29)

2. (updated) The issue just occurs when you runs the script that uses the Random module, like the one shared (created) by Carole.
Because all default installed “script” is working well hence we do not have chances to get the error even fixing it before Update3 released.

Moreover, thanks Carole’s helping to follow up with this problem and found a temporary solution can resolve this issue now.

To the user who encounters with this script issue right now, please download the “PythonPackage”” from https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/546 . ackage.exe and install it. In fact, the package has been added back to PSP since Update1 so it should be existed in Update3 theoretically. But the script issue just tells us something is wrong. Before we figure the root cause out and fix the issue into next patch (Update4), please download and install the “PythonPackage” as a temporary solution. We have confirmed the issue was gone after install it.

At last, I would like to say sorry again to those users who met this issue after Update3 installed. We knew the quality is very important for each update released and we should take all responsibility for the quality area. But please understood we do really spend much time in the testing process always. Going forward, we will try to cover more different testing case and content in order to avoid this kind of problem to happen again. Thank you for your understanding.

How to Fix an Analog Stick on Your PS3 Controller

Things You’ll Need

  • Philips head screwdriver
  • Small piece of clean, dry cloth

The arrow keys, also called the Control-pad or D-pad, on a Sony PlayStation Portable can often become stuck with repeated use. Luckily, cleaning the contacts underneath the button fixes almost all of the common malfunctions, and you can open your PSP to do this with very little effort. While series problems, such as damage to the actual electronic hardware, will require you to send your PSP to Sony for repairs, such issues are very rare.

Remove the Memory Stick and battery from your PSP. Make sure that the charging unit is unplugged and that it is not connected to a computer.

Unscrew the six screws that hold the black plastic faceplate on your PSP. Four of these will be found in the battery casing, one on the back, and a final one on the bottom edge. Make sure to keep these small screws in a safe place as they are easy to lose and difficult to replace. Remove the faceplate.

Lift the D-pad button, which should simply come off once the faceplate is removed.

Clean the exposed contacts under each arrow of the D-pad with a small piece of cloth. Rub them thoroughly (they are not fragile) and remove any particles or residue.

Return the D-pad, the faceplate, screws, battery, and Memory Stick. Turn on your PSP and test the buttons. If you still have problems, the problem is electrical and will require you to send your PSP to Sony for repairs.

The arrow buttons rarely get stuck on a PSP, but when they do, it is because part of the button’s plastic is getting caught on the faceplate. You can gently file down the plastic on the outside edge of the button that gets stuck when you have removed the faceplate. This will prevent the button from sticking.

Warnings

Although you can use an alcohol swab or put a small drop of alcohol on a cloth, be very careful not to get any liquid on the LCD screen. Even a small amount of liquid on the screen can damage it.

Another game-breaking bug is afflicting Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players. This time around it’s dev error 6345, which appears when trying (and subsequently failing) to launch the game. What is dev error 6345, and what can you do to fix it? Unfortunately, the only effective solutions will take a fair amount of time.

How to fix Modern Warfare dev error 6345

How to Fix 9.90 Error in PSP

Modern Warfare dev error 6345 often appears alongside a message advising you to contact customer service support. While dev error 6345 has not been defined by the team at Activision, the problem can usually be fixed by repairing or reinstalling the game software.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has plenty of error codes, and many of them don’t provide any real description of the problem. As you may have guessed, this is the case with error 6345. To make matters worse, Activision Support forum posts provide no clear indication of the underlying issue. With that said, some players seem to encounter this error after the game crashes or their system loses internet connectivity during a match.

The only real information we have about the problem comes from its potential fixes. Activision Support representatives have advised those affected by this error to try to repair the game software. On PC, this is done through the Scan and Repair tool on the Battle.net launcher. To give it a shot, click on the game’s icon, then find the option to Scan and Repair under the game’s title. Be advised that the repair process could take a while.

The only other potential fix involves uninstalling and reinstalling Modern Warfare. It’s not exactly ideal, but it does seem to resolve the issue in most instances. As such, we can only surmise that dev error 6345 involves some kind of corruption in the game’s code. Repairing or reinstalling the game appears to be the only real solution.

Valorant doesn’t seem to play nice with certain computers. If you’re here, you’ve probably encountered the couldn’t install required dependency error. This message appears when Riot Vanguard encounters a problem, but the message doesn’t say what you should do about it. Fortunately, we know how to fix the missing dependencies error in a few simple steps.

Valorant | Couldn’t Install Required Dependency Fix

How to Fix 9.90 Error in PSP

The message saying “We couldn’t install a required dependency” indicates a problem with Riot Vanguard, Valorant’s anti-cheat system. To fix it, you need to uninstall and reinstall both Valorant and Riot Vanguard.

This fix is very simple. Here’s how to fix the missing dependencies error in Valorant:

  1. Open the Windows Start menu, then type “Add or remove programs”
  2. In the Settings dialog box, click on Riot Vanguard, then click Uninstall
  3. Follow the prompts to complete the uninstall procedure
  4. Return to the Settings dialog box, click on Valorant, then click Uninstall
  5. Follow the prompts to remove Valorant. You may need to restart your computer afterward
  6. Download and install Valorant again. The game client will reinstall Vanguard for you

After the game and Vanguard have been uninstalled and then reinstalled, the missing dependencies error will disappear. Easy, right?

Heyo, so in order to fix this, you’ll have to do an uninstall of VALORANT and Riot Vanguard. You can do so by following the steps here: https://t.co/9ZeRZhntTA

Well, not exactly. There are some specific instances where reinstalling Vanguard will not remove the missing dependencies error. More often than not, the error will appear when users are running outdated versions of Windows (such as Windows 7) or pirated versions of the operating system.

If you’re still running Windows 7, you need to make sure you have all of the latest Windows updates installed. Vanguard roots itself deeply into Windows, and it won’t work with out-of-date versions of an unsupported operating system. Run Windows update, then try to reinstall everything again.

If you’re running a pirated or illegal copy of Windows, well, you should know better. Chances are good you disabled automatic updates to keep your OS usable, which is why Vanguard has become unstable. You should consider purchasing a proper license if you want to keep playing Valorant.

It’s been a few days since the release of the untethered iOS 9 jailbreak by the Pangu team. Their new Pangu 9 tool can jailbreak iOS 9, 9.0.1 and 9.0.2. We already have an easy to follow tutorial on how to jailbreak iOS 9/9.0.1/9.0.2.

As with all first releases, the Pangu 9 v1.0.0 tool has some bugs. If you’ve been trying to jailbreak, but have been facing errors, then below are a few tips on how to get rid of them.

How to Fix 9.90 Error in PSP

Several users who’ve been trying to jailbreak iOS 9, 9.0.1 or 9.0.2 using the Pangu 9 tool weren’t successful. Errors such as ‘stuck at 45 percent’, ‘stuck at 65 percent’, ‘runtime error’, and more are being faced by users. Here’s how to fix most of the errors that you may come across while trying to jailbreak iOS 9 using Pangu 9 for Windows.

The best way to make sure that you don’t face any errors while jailbreaking, is to do the following steps before you jailbreak:

  • Make sure you’re running the latest version of iTunes.
  • Do a fresh install of iOS 9.0.2 by downloading the specific IPSW file for your device and perform a restore via iTunes.
  • Turn off TouchID and Passcode. Also disable Find My iPhone.
  • Enable Airplane mode.

Still getting errors? Below is a list of most of the possible errors you might come across and ways to fix them.

Jailbreak process stuck at 45 percent. Error 0A

If you’re facing the error oa, then what you need to do is uncheck Encrypt iPhone backup in iTunes. You should be able to see this option under Backups when your iOS device is connected. Perform a backup again and now try the jailbreak. Also make sure you have enough space on your hard disk, more than 10GB free space is recommended.

‘Start’ Button grayed out or Runtime error

Both these errors usually pop-up when your iTunes version isn’t the latest. Uninstall your iTunes completely, download the latest version and install. Now try jailbreaking.

Stuck at 90 percent, blue screen flashing, Cydia not showing

The fix here is to launch the Photos app before launching the Pangu app. Then close the Photos app, launch Pangu app and grant access as requested. You will need to restore your device to iOS 9.0.2 and rejailbreak if you face this issue. No need to restore if you’re facing the Cydia not showing up error, then simply rejailbreak and launch Photos before opening Pangu app.

Cydia Crashing or Stuck at Apple Logo or Bootloop

Restore to iOS 9.0.2 using iTunes. Get the latest iOS 9.0.2 IPSW for your device from our Downloads section.

That’s most of the errors that you could face while jailbreaking iOS 9. Let us know if these tips helped you. Any other issues, let us know in the comments.

Update #1: Pangu has released an updated version of the tool, Pangu v1.0.1, fixing most of the above mentioned issues.

Comments

Is there a way to fix Cydia crashing when trying to open Cydia WITHOUT restoring to default iOS and loading a backup? Because, when I updated to iOS 8.4 and then jailbroke, I had to load the default iOS firmware, restore a backup, and then jailbreak. Only, half of my stuff weren’t restored from the backup, like my music and apps and such, and I had to retrieve it all manually. I don’t want to have to do it all again. I’ve already jailbroken my iPod Touch 5th generation on iOS 9.0.2 now, but Cydia won’t open without crashing 3 seconds after. Any other ideas?

Follow these methods and check which one of it helps you to fix the issue.

Method 1: Try to un-register and register the msxml6.dll file and check if this helps.

Step 1: To unregister the file, follow these steps:

a. Click Start , point to All Programs , click Accessories and then right-click Command Prompt .

b. Click Run as administrator . If you are prompted with a logon, enter the Administrator credentials. Otherwise, click Continue to authorize the action.

c. Within the Command Prompt, type “ regsvr32 -u msxml6. dll ” and press Enter.

Note: Type the command without including the double quotes to execute the command.

Step 2: To register the file, follow these steps:

a. Click Start , point to All Programs , click Accessories and then right-click Command Prompt .

b. Click Run as administrator . If you are prompted with a logon, enter the Administrator credentials. Otherwise, click Continue to authorize the action.

c. Within the Command Prompt, type “regsvr32 msxml6.dll ” and press Enter.

Note: Type the command without including the double quotes to execute the command.

Method 2: Perform System File Checker (SFC) scan on your computer to fix this issue.

SFC scans and verifies the versions of all protected system files after you restart your computer.

Check the below link for details to do the same:

How to fix the Wad Manager ret = -1 error

PREPARATION
1. The first step you need to do is to make sure that you have formatted your SD card to FAT. You can do this by simply going to my computer, right clicking what drive letter it is and hit format.

2. Then make a folder in the root of your sd card called “apps”, NOT app, NOT Apps, Just plain old “apps”.

3. Then go back to the root of your sd card and make a folder called “wad”, NOT wads, NOT Wad. Just plain old “wad”.

4. Download these three apps:

NOTE* Make sure that there is a boot.dol in each folder. If it is called something like wadmanager.dol, rename it to boot.dol

5. In the apps folder put wad manager v1.5 The “path” to wad manager should look something like F:>apps>wadmanager>boot.dol

Now put the anytitle deleter app in the apps folder. The “path” to anytitle deleter should look something like F:apps>anytitledeleter>boot.dol

Next put the cIOSrev 14 installer app in the apps folder. The “path” to anytitle deleter should look something like F:apps>CiosInstaller>boot.dol

6. Put all the wad files you want to install in the “wad” folder

1.Fire up the homebrew channel and there should be three apps, select anytitle deleter.

2. After anytitle deleter has loaded select system titles (it should be the first option.) Somewhere there should be something that looks like IOS249. Scroll over to it and select it then hit “A” to uninstall it.

3.After that is done DO NOT reset your wii, rather just hit the home button

3.Install all the wads you want with wad manager. It is going to ask you what IOS you want to use, select 38.

4.To play backup games you are going to need to reinstall IOS249. Go back to the homebrew channel and select the Cios Installer. At the beginning it is going to ask you what IOS you want to use, select 38, then select Network Installation. Everytime you want to install wads, you may have to repeat this

How to Fix 9.90 Error in PSP

Universal Media Discs (UMDs), a disc system, is solely responsible for proper functioning of the PlayStation Portable. Just like other disk-based systems, it is not flawless. Sometimes, the user comes across a Disk Read error, when he/she insert or access a UMD CD. It is one of the very common issues for the PSP users.

The error sounds like a little thing, but it keeps the player from playing the game. It is fixed though, provided you know how to handle the PSP when the disk system collapses. There is no need to take the PSP to a specialist, as the entire procedure can be done easily at home.

Instructions

The first step that you need to take is turning off the PSP. Wait for at least half a minute before rebooting the PSP again. See if the disk read error is still making things tricky for you.

If yes, remove the disk from your PSP. You are required to clean the disk with a piece of soft washcloth. Gently wipe the disk with a moist cloth. Once it is done, make your disk dry. Make sure you don’t insert the disk back, before drying it completely.

If your PSP is coming up with the same error, you need to make a few more moves. It is the time to clean the hardware part of the PSP with the help of a UMD cleaning kit.

The instructions are available on the cleaning kit. There are bright chances that cleaning the hardware will solve the problem.

Even if the cleaning does not make your PSP work, there must be something wrong with the UMD disk. You are supposed to see if another disk works with the same PSP.

If it does, there is surely an issue with the disk. It might be damaged. In this case, you are required to buy another copy of the UMD disk.

If nothing works, quickly contact Sony’s technical support. If the PSP refuse to work even after all the aforementioned tricks, odds are that there is a hardware issue with your PSP. Such errors can only be resolved only by the technicians. Therefore, don’t do any experiments, as you may make the situation even worse.

The Sony PSP (PlayStation Portable) is a popular handheld gaming device that runs smoothly in most circumstances. But if you have recently downgraded the firmware in your PSP or otherwise altered its software, you may be experiencing what’s commonly referred to as the blue screen of death.

This happens when some of the PSP’s internal software components go missing and the screen freezes and turns blue. This can be devastating to your PSP. But the good news is that, many times, it can be fixed by performing a hard reset on the device.

Take your PSP in hand and press down on the power button located on the bottom right corner of the unit. Hold down the power button for approximately 5 seconds to ensure that the power is off.

    How to Pair a PS3 Controller With a PS3

Sony’s PlayStation Portable combines a video game system with a media player and web browser to create an all-in-one handheld entertainment system. The built-in rechargeable battery runs the system without a power cord for several hours, after which it must recharge. If you’ve lost your charger or don’t have it with you, the PSP will also charge over a generic USB cord once set properly.

Plug the small end of the USB cable into the port on the top of the PSP. Connect the other end to a computer or other device with a powered USB port.

Turn on your PSP. If you’ve already set up automatic USB connection on your PSP, it will begin charging automatically.

Scroll left to the “Settings” column and scroll down to “System Settings.” Press “X” to enter the options.

Scroll down the options to “USB Charge” and press “X.” Highlight “On” and press “X” again.

Press “O” to back out of “System Settings” and scroll up to select “USB Connection.” Push “X” to start the connection and begin charging.

To automatically charge the PSP whenever you attach a USB cord, enter the “USB Auto Connect” setting in “System Settings,” select “On” and press the “X” button.

The PSP must maintain an open USB connection to charge, which it can only do from the system menu. You cannot charge over USB while playing a game.

    Warnings

Charging over USB may interfere with connecting to your PSP’s Memory Stick over the USB cable. If you can’t access the Memory Stick from your computer, try turning “USB Charge” off temporarily.

The Code 19 error is one of several Device Manager error codes. It’s caused by one or more issues with parts of the Windows Registry that contain driver and other information about the particular hardware device.

The Code 19 error will almost always display in one of the following two ways:

Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. To fix this problem you should uninstall and then reinstall the hardware device. (

Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. To fix this problem you can first try running a Troubleshooting Wizard. If that does not work, you should uninstall and then reinstall the hardware device. (

Details on Device Manager error codes like Code 19 are available in the Device Status area in the device’s properties.

Device Manager error codes are exclusive to Device Manager. If you see the Code 19 error elsewhere in Windows, chances are it’s a system error code which you should not troubleshoot as a Device Manager issue.

The Code 19 error could apply to any hardware device in Device Manager but most Code 19 errors appear on optical drives like DVD and CD drives, USB devices, and keyboards.

Code 19 errors could also be seen in any of Microsoft’s operating systems, including Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, and more.

How to Fix a Code 19 Error

Restart your computer if you haven’t done so already. There is always the remote possibility that the Code 19 error you’re seeing was caused by some kind of fluke or temporary problem. If so, a simple reboot might fix the Code 19.

Did you install a device or make a change in Device Manager just before you noticed the Code 19? If so, it’s very possible that the change you made caused the Code 19 error. Undo the change if possible, restart your PC, and then check again for the Code 19 error.

Depending on the changes you made, some solutions might include:

    • Removing or reconfiguring the newly installed device
    • Reversing the registry changes you made
    • Rolling back the driver to the version prior to your update

Delete the UpperFilters and LowerFilters registry values. A common cause of Code 19 errors is the corruption of two registry values in the DVD/CD-ROM Drive Class registry key.

Deleting similar values in the Windows Registry could also be the fix to a Code 19 error that appears on a hardware device other than a DVD/CD drive. The UpperFilters/LowerFilters tutorial linked above will show you what you need to do.

Uninstall iTunes through Control Panel or with a program uninstaller. While that might sound a little drastic, iTunes is the cause of enough Code 19 errors to make it into this troubleshooting guide.

If removing iTunes works, you might try installing it again from scratch, which doesn’t always re-introduce the problem.

Reinstall the drivers for the device. Uninstalling and then reinstalling the drivers for the device that’s experiencing the Code 19 error is a likely solution to this problem.

Properly reinstalling a driver, as in the instructions linked above, is not the same as updating a driver. A complete driver reinstall involves removing the currently installed driver and then letting Windows install the driver over again from scratch.

Update the drivers for the device. Installing the latest manufacturer supplied drivers for a device with the Code 19 error could fix the problem. If updating the drivers solves the Code 19 error, it probably means that there was some kind of issue with the drivers that Windows was storing that you reinstalled in the previous step.

Use System Restore to revert device drivers and registry configurations back to a state previous to the Code 19 error. Be sure to choose a restore point from a date and time before you know or suspect that the Code 19 error first appeared.

Disable any hardware-based security on the device. Windows could report a Code 19 error on a device like an external hard drive if the drive had been previously secured with a password.

Replace the hardware. As a last resort, you might need to replace the hardware that has the Code 19 error.

It’s also possible that the device is not compatible with this version of Windows. You can check the Windows HCL to be sure.

If you’ve discovered that hardware can’t be the cause of this Code 19 error, you could try a repair install of Windows. If that doesn’t work, try a clean install of Windows. We don’t recommend doing either of those more drastic options before you try replacing the hardware, but you may have to if you’re out of other options.

Your Code 19 error should now be resolved.

    Question

    “Msg 8630, Level 16, State 6, Line 1
Internal Query Processor Error: The query processor encountered an unexpected error during execution.”

I receive the above error whenever I try to update a particular row/column in one of my tables.

    I am using SQL Server 2005 SP1.

    An example query would be:

    update myTable set
myDateColumn = null — any date value can go in here and it still won’t work
    where myRowId = 12345

I can select the row and update the other columns in the table, but I just can’t update this particular column in this particular row.

Has there been any occurrence of this bug before?

I have tried restarting the database and server.

There are 1,703,797 rows in the table and 7 columns.

The query usually runs instantly, however there is a 5-6 second pause before this error is raised.

Please help me with how to proceed with getting a fix for this error.

Although the error certainly doesn’t suggest it, have you tried running a DBCC CHECKTABLE on the table in question?

Is there any further infomration in either the sql or application/system logs that contain any further information related to the error?

This was a bug in 2000 and 7.0 but was sorted out with SP1 (or was it 2?).

If no luck troubleshooting, I think a call to MS product support may be in order.

I saw this issue today as well.

The issue occurred against a SQL Server 2008 R2 (RTM) instance.

The 8630 Error was thrown in response to a simple update very similar to that in the sample. When the error occurred, a stack dump was written, and it included the message “CPerIndexMetaQS::ErrorAbort – Index corruption” (which can be found in the SQL Server error log).

    • The issue COULD be reproduced against a restored backup of the database. If others hit this issue, I recommend testing your procedure to fix the issue against a restored copy of the database first.
    • Only three update statements were impacted. Many other updates against the table were fine.
    • Reads of the row that was attempted to be updated were successful
    • DBCC CHECKTABLE returned no errors (against the table and tables in FK relationships)
    • updating statistics and online index rebuilds did NOT solve the issue
    • The database with the issue was in 80 compat mode, but raising the compat mode did NOT resolve the issue
    • The table in question had hypothetical indexes. Dropping them did NOT resolve the issue
    • Estimated execution plans worked fine. The error occurred only during actual execution of the query. (Which is what the message says. It’s honest!)

The issue was successfully resolved against the restored copy of the database by dropping and re-recreating indexes, as Alen posted. In this case it was a single non-clustered index. Drop and create was required for the NC index– alter index rebuild did not fix the issue, nor did create index with drop_existing.

(Note: This can be a LOT of IO and require changing foreign keys in some cases, hence testing on a restored copy of the database so you’re aware of what the impact will be!)

Root cause for us is unclear at this point– this could be an optimizer regression (the error is similar to one in KB 2451688 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2451688, although no partitioned views were in use here– in fact no view at all), or it could be storage corruption in a metadata page. I am a little doubtful on the corruption point as the database does have CHECKSUM enabled and there were no corruption specific errors written to the log outside of the stack dump.

I am curious whether this issue will reproduce itself under 2008 R2 SP1 with CU1 applied, but can’t validate that at this time.

A file with the PSP file extension is most likely a Paint Shop Pro Image file. Similar to Photoshop’s PSD format, PSP files can store guides, layered images, and other things common with advanced image editing software.

Some PSP files may instead be Photoshop Preferences files that store settings for Adobe Photoshop. For example, there’s a Brushes.psp, Patterns.psp, and Styles.psp file to store settings specific to those functions.

PL/SQL Server Page files that access database information through SQL commands are text files that also use the .PSP file extension.

How to Fix 9.90 Error in PSP

Versions of Paint Shop Pro newer than PSP 8 use the .PSPIMAGE file extension instead.

How to Open a PSP File

PSP files can be opened with Corel PaintShop Pro, Adobe Photoshop, ACD Systems Canvas, Chasys Draw IES, IrfanView (with a plugin), GIMP, and possibly some other popular photo and graphics tools as well.

PSP files used by Photoshop and Photoshop Elements for storing preferences probably don’t ever need to be opened manually. This is because the PSP files are stored in the Photoshop installation directory and are used automatically when the program is open and being used.

PL/SQL Server Page files that are in the .PSP format can be viewed in a browser and edited with a text editor like Notepad in Windows.

If Notepad is too basic for you, see our Best Free Text Editors list for some better options.

If you find that an application on your PC does try to open the PSP file but it’s the wrong application or if you would rather have another installed program open PSP files, see our How to Change the Default Program for a Specific File Extension guide for making that change in Windows.

How to Convert a PSP File

If the PSP file is an image file, you can convert it to another image format like JPG or TIF with the free IrfanView program.

This free online PSP to JPG converter is another option for converting PSP to JPG. It’s different than IrfanView because you have to upload the PSP file to the website in order to convert it, but it’s also probably much quicker than downloading and installing IrfanView just to convert the file.

PSP files might contain layers like PSD files, but I’m not aware of a file converter that can preserve those layers and convert the PSP directly to PSD. However, you can of course just convert the PSP to JPG and then open it with Photoshop to save it to PSD—again, this won’t keep the layers, though.

There’s no reason to convert a Photoshop Preferences file into a new format because files of this type are made specifically for Photoshop, so they won’t work in any other application even under a different format.

PL/SQL Server Page files can be saved to any other text-based format using a text editor.

Some programs let you rip or copy a PSP (PlayStation Portable) game to an ISO file. If you need to convert that ISO file to a CSO file, you can use Format Factory.

Using PSP Files to Reset Photoshop

If you’re experiencing odd problems with Photoshop’s panels and tools, you can remove these PSP files so that the default settings are reinstated.

Here’s the default location of the PSP files in Windows and macOS:

    • Windows: C:Users[username]AppDataRoamingAdobeAdobe Photoshop Adobe Photoshop Settings
    • macOS: //Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop Settings/

Another way to reset preferences in Photoshop that doesn’t involve deleting the PSP files manually is to press and hold the Alt+Ctrl+Shift (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift (Mac) keyboard shortcut as you’re opening Photoshop—you’ll be prompted to delete the settings (the PSP files).

    Infopackets Reader Bob T. writes:

I just upgraded to Windows 10; unfortunately the Windows 10 upgrade corrupted my Start menu and tray bar, so I decided to do a clean install – which also means I have to reinstall all my programs. I’m now trying to install MS Office 2010 on the machine, but the MS Office setup.exe program keeps telling me ‘Error 1317: Setup Cannot Create Directory C:ProgramDataMicrosoftWindowsStart MenuProgramsMicrosoft Office’, and then rolls back and cancels the installation. I have tried using my original MS Office disc, and have also downloaded MS Office 2010 from the web, but I get the same error message: ‘Error 1317: Setup Cannot Create Directory C:ProgramDataMicrosoftWindowsStart MenuProgramsMicrosoft Office’. I’ve even tried installing MS Office 2013 trial edition, but that also gives me ‘Error 1317: Setup Cannot Create Directory’. What can I do to fix this problem? “

Oddly enough I encountered this error twice in the same week on two different systems. Another symptom of this error is that if you click the Start menu, none of your installed programs show up in the list, with the exception of a few default Windows programs.

The reason this happens is because the permissions on the directory ‘C:ProgramDataMicrosoftWindowsStart MenuPrograms’ (and subsequent sub-folders) have been corrupted. So, if you try to install a program (any program), or if you click the Start menu, you’re essentially getting an ‘access denied’ error. The same error message: ‘Setup Cannot Create Directory ‘ will appear even if you you log in with the hidden Administrator account, which has the highest permissions on the system by default.

How to Fix: ‘Error 1317: Setup Cannot Create Directory’ when Installing a Program

Fixing this error should be relatively straightforward; however, in the other instance I came across this week, I had to fiddle with the access permissions a bit more – so your mileage may vary.

Generally speaking, the instructions to fix the ‘Error 1317: Setup Cannot Create Directory’ will apply to any program and not just MS Office. So if you see anything related to ‘Error 1317: Setup Cannot Create Directory C:ProgramDataMicrosoftWindowsStart MenuProgramssome directory name‘, please give the following instructions a try.

    1. First, you’ll need to open an administrative command prompt so we can override the access permissions. To do so: click Start, then type in “cmd” (no quotes); wait for “CMD.EXE” or “Command Prompt” to appear in the list, then right click and select “Run as Administrator”.
    2. Next, highlight the text below using your mouse:

    C:
    cd
    icacls “C:ProgramDataMicrosoftWindowsStart MenuPrograms” /grant Everyone:(OI)(CI)F /T
    takeown /f “C:ProgramDataMicrosoftWindowsStart MenuPrograms” /r
    icacls “C:ProgramDataMicrosoftWindowsStart MenuPrograms” /reset /T
echo this is a dummy line

Right click the above text, then select “Copy” from the dialogue menu. Next, go to the administrative command prompt you opened in Step #1, and right click in the middle of the window and select “Paste” from the dialogue menu. The text you copied in Step #2 should now be output to the command line.

Note: if you see a message in the administrative command prompt similar to the following, select “y” for “Yes”:

You do not have permissions to read the contents of directory “C:ProgramDataMicrosoftWindowsStart Menuprograms”.
Do you want to replace the directory permissions with permissions granting you full control (“Y” for YES, “N” for NO or “C” to CANCEL)? y Log in or register to post comments

    PSP connection error: 80410A0B

Hey, i have been using the internet on my psp ever day. Now, today, when i try to connect, a message comes up and says (A connection error has occured(80410A0B) Connection Name — SSID —. Also, the wifi light doesnt come on. Help, pleaz, im starting to have withdraw.

    Solution :

    1. its happened to my psp.
there is no solution, nothing works, updates dont work,
down grades dont work, you have to swap your psp for a new with sony, they supply them iven if you dont have warrenty
    2. First of all, psp can browse the internet with its simple browser.
BUT! What you may not know is that there is a bug where when you try to search or use a wireless lan connection (WLAN) the psp may say something like:

To fix this without any memory loss, take out the UMD which is in the psp, and also take out the memory card.
Next, go to settings, then system settings and click restore settings, the psp may freeze up, but it is not broken, take out the batter pack and put it back in, the settings should be restored and all should work.
Sony hotlines dont seem to tell you how to fix it, many people often go buy a new or swap their psps, but all you need to do is this!

  • go to system settings restore default settings it always works for mechek if your proxy server is on if it is on turn it off i had the same problem with mine, to turn it off you go to the web browser, then tools, then settings then proxy server setings and set it on do not use.
  • How to fix checksum error in WinRAR file?

Nowadays, people tend to store more and more data on their computer’s hard disk. And, in order to save memory space, they compress these files in WinRAR format. RAR compression technique helps users to save a lot of hard disk space and make tasks like transferring, downloading, uploading, emailing much easier. However, it is really frustrating situation for users when they encounter errors while extracting contents from a WinRAR file. More often than not, the error message would be CRC.

    So, what is CRC error?

CRC stands for Cyclic Redundancy Check, it is an error notification usually encountered while WinRAR file extraction. CRC is an algorithm which checks the checksum bit of the source and downloaded WinRAR file, if this checksum of your RAR file doesn’t match up then it’ll result in CRC error notification. Sometimes, no matter how many times you try, you won’t be able to access any of the contents from the WinRAR file. There are several causes due to which you end up with CRC error, some of them include:

    • Download interruption of WinRAR files due to reasons like power failure, network inconsistency, etc
    • Deadly malware / virus infection on WinRAR file
    • Bad sectors on storage media where WinRAR files are stored
    • Extracting the contents of WinRAR using unreliable third party applications
    • Other reasons include improper recovery, file system corruption, transfer error, OS reinstallation, etc

Techniques to fix checksum error in WinRAR file:

There are three ways to eliminate checksum error in WinRAR file, just follow the below procedures and know how:

Method 1: Try re-downloading the whole WinRAR archive file from the internet again. If it is still available, sometimes re-downloading the file will help you eliminate the problem.

Method 2: If the first method didn’t help you, then overcome CRC error using WinRAR application

    • Right click on the corrupt / damaged WinRAR file and choose “Extract files” options
    • Tick on “Keep Broken Files” check box under Miscellaneous tab
    • Choose the folder where you want to save the extracted files and click “Ok” button
    • And while the extraction process if any CRC error pops up. Simply click “Close”

Nevertheless, if both this method fails in extracting the contents from your WinRAR files; then you need to download and use powerful WinRAR repair software such as Remo Repair that can extract incomplete RAR file, fix checksum error in RAR extraction, and all other errors related to RAR file extraction.

Method 3: Remo Repair is among the best repair application to fix checksum error in WinRAR files. The tool has many advanced and outstanding features such as free demo version, ability to repair damaged RAR files on Windows Vista, Windows 10, 8 & 8.1, Windows 7, XP, Server 2003 & 2008, preview repaired RAR archive, operating system compatibility, 24 / 7 technical support, virus free, etc. which makes it the no 1 choice to solve CRC error in WinRAR, and other errors in RAR files.
