  • You can change your Hulu plan by signing into your account on a web browser.
  • A Hulu plan cannot currently be changed through the streaming service’s mobile app.
  • Making changes to your Hulu plan through the streamer’s site might not be possible if you have a third-party billing subscription.
  • You may have to cancel your subscription with the third-party site and re-subscribe with Hulu directly to upgrade or downgrade your Hulu plan.
  • Visit Business Insider’s Tech Reference library for more stories.

Whether you wish to upgrade your Hulu subscription for more features or downgrade for a lower price, changing your Hulu plan is generally possible with a few quick clicks.

Disney+ is great, but it doesn’t offer everything you might want to watch. If you went with the basic plan, and you’re thinking of getting the bundle with Hulu and ESPN+, here’s how to switch over.

If you already have the bundle, you won’t be able to switch to the Disney+ regular plan without canceling your subscription first. This might not be ideal since you will lose all your recommended content, but it’s the only way. However, if you signed up with the basic plan that’s just Disney+, you can upgrade to the bundle rather easily.

After you log into Disney+ on your computer, iPhone, iPad, Android, or smart TV, select your profile. The avatar is in the top-right corner on Desktop, bottom right on mobile, and in the overflow on your smart TV.

When the next pop-up menu opens, click on the “Account” option.

How to change your hulu plan

This will take you to the page where you can change your email, password, and billing information. If you have the regular Disney+ plan, you will be able to select the “Switch to Disney Bundle” link to change your plan.

How to change your hulu plan

Once you select that choice, you’ll see your billing details that you’ll want to confirm. Then, you’ll want to read the Terms and Conditions before agreeing to the legal document. From there, select “Agree & Subscribe” at the very bottom of the page.

You have now successfully subscribed to the Disney+ bundle, which includes Hulu and ESPN+.

You’ll have access to all of the great TV and movie choices you could ask for. From great Disney films to any sports game you might want to watch, you’ll have access to nearly everything. This bundle is a steal, especially if you’re someone who loves all types of shows and movies.

It’s easier than ever.

If you’re signing back up from a previously lapsed bundled account, the good news is the process has changed somewhat, but it’s for the better. You no longer need to follow a set of steps to lock-in the ad-free Hulu subscription into your bundle. It’s as easy as upgrading from your account page once you already have an account.

How Much Is the Disney+/Hulu Bundle?

Disney+ is $6.99 a month, and includes almost every Disney show and movie you can imagine, all available on-demand, and is the exclusive streaming home for future Disney movies.

If you want to add Hulu and ESPN+, the bundled deal is $12.99 a month, but that’s for the ad-supported version of Hulu. The ad-free version will add $6 to the total, making ad-free Hulu/Disney+/ESPN+ bundles $18.99 a month.

How to Sign Up for the Disney+ Bundle If You Already Have Hulu or ESPN+

It’s extremely easy to get the bundle if you’re already subscribed to one of the other services. Visit the Disney+ bundle sign-up page and use the same email address you use for your Hulu or ESPN+ account. That’s it!

Disney+ will then credit you $5.99 for your existing Hulu account and “a credit against the bundle price in an amount equal to the effective monthly price of your existing subscription.” If you’re a monthly ESPN+ subscriber, that means you’ll get credited an additional $4.99 a month too. The important thing is you sign up for Disney+ with the same email address as the other two. Do that, and your monthly bill will be reduced.

Whether you invested in live TV or the bundle with ESPN and Disney+, there will be new shows to watch with your new plan.

How to change your hulu plan

If you’re already a Hulu (No Ads) subscriber and want to add the Disney+ and ESPN+ bundle you can. It’s a bit tricky, but we explain exactly how to do it step-by-step.

The new Disney Plus (or Disney+) streaming service is reasonably priced. However, you can maximize your savings and get more content by subscribing to the Disney Plus bundle, which also includes ESPN Plus (or ESPN+) and a Hulu (With Ads) subscription. If you already subscribe to Hulu, you can still receive the savings, even if you have the Hulu (No Ads) plan. However, at least for now, it’s not a seamless process.

You Subscribed to Disney Plus …

Congratulations, you’re one of the first of millions to subscribe to Disney Plus, which gives you streaming and download access to Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel, and National Geographic entertainment across multiple devices. When you subscribed, you choose to pay $6.99 per month or $69.99 per month for the service with each account starting with a seven-day free trial. Regardless of how you signed up, you created a Disney Plus account using an email and password. Keep that information close.

… But You Also Have a Hulu Account

If you wish to switch to the $12.99 per month Disney Plus bundle and also have a Hulu account, you can do so and save $5.99 per month, which is the monthly cost of the Hulu (With Ads).

To change to the Disney bundle, follow these instructions:

  1. Make sure your email address matches across each platform. If they are different, make the change on your ESPN Plus and Hulu account to match the one on Disney Plus.
  2. Once the emails match, log into Disney Plus through the service’s website.
  3. Click on the profile link at the top right.
  4. Select Edit Profiles.
  5. Choose the main Disney Plus account. This should be the first profile you created when signing up for the service.
  6. With the main Disney Plus selected, go back to the main Disney Plus screen.
  7. Once again, click on the profile link at the top right. Your primary Disney Plus profile is now selected.
  8. Select Account.
  9. Choose, then select the Disney Bundle and follow the directions, which will include adding a banking card.

Once you’ve created your new bundle, you’ll receive an email confirmation. Later, you’ll get a follow-up email that will confirm whatever credits you might have earned by making the switch. As you can see in the example below, Disney provides credits against the bundle price in an amount equal to the effective monthly price of your existing subscription, for so long as you have that subscription:

Your New Accounts

If you had a Hulu account, but not an ESPN Plus account, or vice versa, you can log in to the new account with your Disney Plus email and password. You can also log in from the Accounts page on Disney Plus. Keep in mind Disney Plus, Hulu, and ESPN Plus all work through separate apps across all platforms. Therefore, you’ll need to install apps that are missing.

What About the Other Hulu Plans?

As first mentioned above, the Disney Plus Bundle currently only includes the Hulu (With Ads) package for the cost of $12.99 per month. However, if you have the Hulu (No Ads) plan, you’ll still get your $5.99 per month discount. In this case, you’ll pay $18.99 per month for all three services. Hulu + Live TV and Hulu (No Ads) + Live TV plan subscribers will also receive the $5.99 per month discount.

Important Notice

If you didn’t previously have a Hulu account and signed up for the Disney Plus Bundle, there’s no way to switch to the Hulu (No Ads) or another plan. The only way this is currently possible is to cancel your Disney Plus Bundle subscription, then sign up for Hulu separately. From there, you can once again sign up for the Disney Plus Bundle using the steps above.

What About a Disney Plus Purchase the was Made Through the App Store or Google Play?

Did you make your initial Disney Plus purchase through the Apple App Store or Google Play? After switching to your Disney Bundle, you’ll need to cancel the other subscription information so you aren’t double-billed. You can do this by:

  • Going into your App Store or Google Play subscriptions and canceling, or
  • Calling Disney Plus customer service at (888) 905-7888

Note: Ideally, you’ll want to cancel your Disney Plus subscription through Apple or Google before the free trial ends. Otherwise, you should request a credit if you were charged twice.

Other Things to Know

If you’re still confused about the Disney Plus Bundle for current Hulu customers, there are other points to keep in mind:

  • At least for now, you’ll still receive separate bills each month for Hulu and the Disney Plus Bundle. The $5.99 credit will show up on the Disney Plus bill each month.
  • You can continue to manage your Hulu plan and add-ons from the Hulu Account page. You can update and downgrade plans from here too.
  • There is no Disney Plus Bundle free trial. You’ll be charged immediately for the first month.

Get Your Disney Plus!

As a reminder, Disney Plus is accessible on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Android mobile devices and Android TV, web browsers, and Amazon devices like Fire TV and Fire HD. Disney Plus is also on Chromecast, Chromebook, Samsung and LG smart televisions, Roku devices, PlayStation4, Xbox One, and Windows 10. In other words, it’s available wherever streaming services reside.

Featuring closed captioning and descriptive audio, some Disney Plus content is available in English, Spanish, Dutch, French, and additional languages. It also streams in resolutions up to 4K Ultra HD in Dolby Vision and HDR 10. Where available, it also supports Dolby Atmos sound.

Final Thoughts

The Disney Plus Bundle is a great idea, but one that wasn’t well executed for existing Hulu users. Hopefully, Disney streamlines the bundle pricing structure in the coming weeks or months. When in doubt, visit the Help Page on Disney Plus and looking for information on the Disney Plus Bundle. At the time of this writing, new information is being added daily.

Disney+ is now available as a subscription bundle along with Hulu and ESPN+.

The bundle price costs $12.99 per month.

Here’s what to do if you’re already a Hulu subscriber and want the bundle.

Disney+ bundled or unbundled

Disney is not pulling any punches when it comes to its new streaming service. The price is low enough to make it accessible to most people, and so is the device support.

However, as a means to lower the cost even more, Disney+ is available as part of a bundle with Hulu and ESPN+.

Normally, Hulu costs $5.99 per month while ESPN+ costs $4.99. When you add to that the $6.99 per month charge for Disney+ the bundle price works out to be 25-percent cheaper overall.

Another of the many benefits is that you only have one subscription to manage and not three.

Of course, if you are already a Hulu subscriber then it might seem like you’re out of luck. You’re not. Existing Hulu subscribers can still benefit from the bundle.

How to access the bundle if you’re already a Hulu subscriber?

To be honest, there’s no secret trick here. If you are already a Hulu subscriber then you can simply sign up to Disney+ using the same email address associated with Hulu and the bundle option will kick in.

In other words, you don’t have to cancel your existing Hulu subscription and apply through the bundle to avoid paying twice for Hulu.

However, this does mean that you won’t benefit from combined billing. As you are maintaining your existing Hulu subscription, it will continue to be billed separately from the bundle.

Essentially, Disney+ will acknowledge you have a Hulu subscription and then just credit your Disney bundle account with $5.99 per month – the cost of the standard ad-free Hulu subscription.

There are some other caveats and here they are

The first is that you need to be subscribing to Disney+ through the bundle page and not the main Disney+ subscription price.

The second is that you can only add an existing Hulu subscription to the bundle if it is billed directly by Hulu.

For example, if you get Hulu through another third-party service or as part of a promotion, then you are unlikely to be able to combine it with Disney+ and ESPN+.

The rest of the caveats consist of some generic points, such as being at least 18 years of age, residing in the U.S. and that the Hulu account is in good standing.

Obviously, you cannot cancel your Hulu subscription either. At least, not without the bundle subscription also being cancelled or upped in price to the full monthly cost.

Earlier this week, Verizon announced some changes to two of its Unlimited plans, which would offer up Disney+, ESPN+ and Hulu for free to its customers.

Verizon won’t automatically move you to these plans, so you will need to make the changes for yourself. Luckily, nothing else about the plans have changed, you’re just getting more free stuff. But if you are a current customer, you will need to go ahead and “upgrade” to this new plan.

New customers can simply select the plan, when they sign up.

What is the Disney+ bundle?

The Disney+ bundle is a bundle that Disney offers, and it includes Disney+, ESPN+ and Hulu for $12.99 per month. Verizon is now offering this bundle in two of its four unlimited plans.

With this bundle, you’re going to get a ton of great Disney content on Disney+, loads of sports (both live and original content) on ESPN+ and Hulu which has movies and TV shows. During this time of us all being stuck at home, and needing something new to watch, this is a really great bundle to include with Verizon plans.

Which plans include free Disney+, ESPN+ and Hulu?

Verizon has four unlimited plans (five if you count the Just Kids one), and they start at $70 per month for a single line.

But only two of them will get you Disney+, ESPN+ and Hulu free (Verizon’s wording is “included” and not free).

Those two plans are the Play More Unlimited and the Get More Unlimited plans for $80 and $90 respectively.

The best plan for most people is going to be the Play More Unlimited plan. That is because it offers Premium Network Access (aka 50GB of high-speed data before you might get slowed down), 15GB of 4G LTE Mobile hotspot and unlimited after that, as well as Disney+, ESPN+, and Hulu included. You also get Apple Music for six months, and 5G is included at no extra charge.

With the Play More Unlimited plan, you also get streaming video at 720p instead of 480p on the Start Unlimited plan.

How do I activate my free Disney+, ESPN+ and Hulu?

To activate your free Disney+, ESPN+ and Hulu, you will need to do it through the My Verizon app.

Once you’re in the app. Tap on Account.

Then tap on Add-ons.

From there, swipe over to Entertainment.

Now you’ll see a “Learn More” button for each service. Click on that, and it’ll give you some details about the perk, and at the bottom there is an “Enroll” button. Tap on that.

This is going to enroll you in the perk and then have you sign into Disney+, ESPN+ and Hulu.

That’s pretty much it. From there, you’re all set and will have Disney+, ESPN+ and Hulu included for the life of your account. This is a $12.99 value, and definitely worth the price.
