How to see all answers on quora and bypass their obnoxious login

Quora is one of those question and answer sites that sadly decided to follow in the footsteps of Expertsexchange and create a terrible user interface that forces you to sign in to read past the first answer. But we can bypass that with a simple trick.

You would think, with the success of Stackoverflow and Stack Exchange, that they would have realized it isn’t a good idea to hide your answers and make the site lousy for your users. But no, they didn’t learn. They want to make sure that you are forced to sign in and give them your information just to read the site.

They could have gone a better route and allowed you to read the topics, and then prompt you later on to login or signup. They could have provided a great question and answer site that would make you want to participate. Instead, they chose this.

It’s worth pointing out that we’ve never actually read any useful answers on Quora, but they do show up in Google searches every so often, and this simple trick allows you to bypass that login screen.

Add ?share=1 to the end of the URL

That’s all you have to do. Just add it to the end of the URL and hit the enter key.

And now you can view everything on the site.

In fact you can even click on other things and continue to use the site without being limited anymore during that browsing session. Though again, we haven’t actually read anything very interesting on Quora.

Note: there are a bunch of browser extensions that will do this automatically, but we don’t recommend installing random extensions for sites that you aren’t going to visit very often. Unfortunately, many of those extensions end up spying on you.

Quora is a great platform to communicate with people and get answers to a wide variety of questions. However, it does not let you read more than one question without being logged in. This could be annoying for people who do not want to sign in or create an account to read answers on Quora. Thankfully, you can bypass Quora login with some simple workarounds. In this article, let’s look at how to read answers or comments on Quora without login.

How to Read Quora Answers or Comments Without Login On Phone, PC

Table of Contents

On Quora, you can ask or discuss anything about any topic with people across the globe. Earlier, the platform allowed users to read any number of answers without restrictions. However, you’re now required to sign in or create an account to read more than one answer.

In short, Quora is forcing users to log in or register through a popup that blocks the answer. Anyways, you can bypass it easily using the workarounds given below. Read on.

1. Open Quora Through Google Search

If you open Quora.com directly in your browser, it’ll ask you to log in or create a new account. So instead, search for some questions on Google alongside the keyword “quora” or [site:quora.com] tag. You can then open related links to land on the answers directly.

2. Copy Paste the URL in Incognito Mode

The easiest way to get rid of the sign-in or register popup on Quora is to copy and paste the URL in the same tab or a new incognito window, as follows:

  1. Copy the URL of the question you want to read.
  2. Open a new incognito tab in your browser.
  3. Paste the URL in the address bar and press Enter.

You can also copy and paste the URL in the same tab, which will reload the Quora page bypassing the login prompt. This is indeed the best way to read Quora replies without signing in, as all you have to do is select the URL and hit Enter to reload it without login.

3. Block Cookies to Read Quora Without Login

Quora uses cookies to know whether you’ve already read one answer. Post which, it will show you the login prompt to read other posts. When Cookie is blocked, Quora won’t be able to find your read history. And hence, you can read any number of posts without being signed in.

Block Cookies for Quora On Chrome PC

  1. Open Google Chrome on your Mac or Windows PC.
  2. Tap the three-dot menu at the top right—select Settings.
  3. Select Privacy and security from the sidebar at the left.
  4. Then, select Site Settings.
  5. Scroll down and click Cookies and site data.
  6. Find Sites that can never use cookies and tap Add next to it.
  7. Enter www.quora.com in the URL box.
  8. Click on Add and you’re good to go.

Block Cookies for Quora On Chrome Android

  1. Launch Google Chrome on your Android or iPhone.
  2. Open the three-dot menu and select Settings.
  3. Scroll down and click on Site Settings under Advanced.

That’s it. Quora will no longer be able to use cookies in your browser. You can now browse Quora freely without worrying about signing in or creating an account. To revert the changes, remove the site from the list.

4. Add ?Share=1 Tag to the URL

The other way to read comments and replies without logging in on Quora is by editing the URL. It’s an easy three-step process, shown below.

  1. Tap the URL of the answer you want to read.
  2. Add ?share=1 to the end of the link.
  3. Now, press Enter to reload the page and read the answer without any hassles.

5. Search the Question URL on Google

Alternatively, you can search for the question URL on Google. Clicking the result on the search page will direct you to the Quora answer without any login popups. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Copy the URL of the Quora post which you want to read.
  2. Then, open google.com, paste the URL in the search box, and hit Google Search.
  3. The question will now appear in Google results.
  4. Click on it to view the full Quora page with answers without any sign-in prompts.

Wrapping Up- Read Quora Comments Without Login or Account

These were three easy ways to read or view Quora answers and replies without logging in or creating an account on the platform. I hope this helps you access Quora for answers to your queries without any hassles. Stay tuned for more such tips and tricks.

Quora is the best website for gettings answers. You can get answers to all sorts of questions ranging from technical questions to extremely personal questions and sometimes some really weird questions too. But have you searched for answers in Google and went to Quora for the answers but was greeted by an obnoxious popup which asks you to sign up or sign into Quora to see the answer?

Here is how you can remove the annoying Quora Login Popup screen and view all the answers without having to Login or Sign Up. This can be very helpful if you just need to get the answer and get going. Me personally i hate having to login to different websites.

How to see all answers on quora and bypass their obnoxious login

I personally spend time in Quora reading interesting answers and also take time to answer questions . So if you really want to read more and also want to be part of the Quora community consider signing up for an account(Its Free). You can follow me on Quora here.

How to Bypass Quora Sign In Popup

We are going to see two methods you can employ to get around this really annoying popup screen. The first one is a fairly simple method and can be used to get around this issue. There are many other websites like Quora from where you can get answers for your questions, but it’s more likely to get proper answer in Quora. So it’s always nice to know this trick .

Bypass Quora Login Screen by Adding ?share=1 to the URL

This is the first method and the easiest one. There is nothing much you have to do to get around the restriction put up if you are not signed in to Quora. See the steps below :

Step1 : Visit the Quora link .

Step 2: If you are seeing the Login Popup just add the line after the URL: ?share=1

Change

to

Step 3: Hit Enter and see the Login Screen magically disappear. You can now read the answers without any interruption.

This method is the way to go if you want to just remove the Quora Popup screen for once and just continue with your life.

Bypass the Quora Login Popup using Ad-Blocker

If you visit Quora more often or google takes you to Quora quite often, you can take this approach. Since the first method needs you to manually add the ?share=1 to every URL you visit. You can get around this issue by installing an Ad-blocker. Make sure you read: Battle of Adblockers – Adblock Plus vs uBlock Origin

Step 1: Download and Install uBlock origin for Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.

Step 2: There is nothing to do other than installing the plugin….hehe.

Now if you just check by visiting Quora, you will not be able to see the pop-ups as it is taken care of by the Ad Blocker itself.

Since we are talking about questions and answers, here are some really good ones from Quora:

  1. My MacBook Air weighs 2.3 pounds. If I download more files on it, will it make it heavier? – here
  2. If you write a book about failure and it doesn’t sell, is it a success? – here
  3. What are some of the funniest and most clever advertisements? – here
  4. What’s the fastest way to make a situation awkward? – here

Final Thoughts

If you just want to read the article on Quora and just move on with your life or you don’t give a damn about signing up, you can simple follow any of the two methods. But if you really have a lot of questions or you love to read or write articles, you should really consider signing up for a Quora account. It doesn’t take much time to setup an account.

Hope you guys enjoyed the article …feel free to share and also comment down your thoughts below.

Ratings and Reviews

Quora review

I have generally enjoyed reading Quora. The ancient history section is particularly interesting for me. Today I read an interesting piece on politics called the White Elephant in the Room which discussed how people in forum should take a breath and relax and show respect and truly read what colleagues are saying. He suggested people might actually change their opinion on certain matters. I remember when I would drive from my home in New York to Yale University, I would listen to an Evangelical channel. My colleague it’s whom I shared an office asked me why. I need to know what people of a very different opinion think
The section on education is overly repetitive, and most of the questions could be answered by a simple google.
Though there is a great deal of repetition in general, there are some interesting points and opinions. I don’t know if this site has an administrator (which it needs for the repetitive questions) or works by some algorithm. Anyway, no one is forced to respond to every question that might be one’s area.
The atmosphere is relaxed and have not seen any disrespect or nastiness that are part of other forums.

Frustrating to Navigate

After having used the Quora app for about two years, I have come across a few annoying issues that really ruin the experience of the app. Firstly, every time I open the app, I have to wait for the app the respond to my touches. It can take anywhere from around 10 seconds to almost 20 seconds. I don’t know what it’s doing in the background, but it’s annoying. Next, when I want to search for a question, it seems to freak out and freeze the whole app. It opens the keyboard, and I can type on it, but there is a massive delay from when I press a key to it being displayed on the screen; it only happens when I open the app after not using it for a while. Next, very often when I am scrolling down through my feed and I tap on the “read more” on an answer, it doesn’t respond to my touch as if the read more button doesn’t exist. I can tap and tap as many times I want, but it will not open the answer. Tapping on the answer itself does nothing either. This happens randomly and I don’t know why or what triggers it. The last issue is the most annoying of them all. When I’m reading the comments, and I accidentally swipe left or right just a little bit, the whole app with hang and not respond at all. I have to manually close the app and reopen it again so it can work. These issues sometimes hold me back from even opening the app. Overtime, it seems that more problems are being made than fixed with every new feature update.

Forces giving personal data just to read posts?!

used Apple ID to login and the app FORCED me to provide my email address and name anyway. It said “optional” but after many tries, 10 minutes of waiting for the app to spin after trying to skip entering an email address (defeating the point of using Apple ID to login) I entered a random email address and I was treated with several minutes dealing with captcha crap. really?! If they have so many issues controlling fraud and/or Quora isn’t sophisticated enough to deal with modern threats that they require more captcha tricks than I’ve ever seen I’m definitely not trusting any content. and most definitely not posting or providing my info. I see the app has high ratings. it might deserve them once you jump through all the hoops and provide personal data, but after such an inconvenient and annoying process FORCING login, FORCING giving personal data and giving info I don’t want to give just to read something, I am deleting. There are far too many legit platforms I can use that don’t do this. I’m surprised so many use Quora. sheep I imagine. Nevermind. I just skimmed/read a ton of so reviews. they are reviewing posts on Quora not the app or experience with the app. In fact, I stopped trying to reviews that weren’t about content on Quora – only found a couple about Quora itself and they were 1-star.

Troubleshooting

It is very rare to see people having troubles with our login system, a guide should still be ready to prevent any mishaps. If you fall into one of those cases where you cannot log into our page, here is a guide for you to fix it on your side.

Step 1 – First, check your Internet connection. This is the primary reason why your login is failing, either due to connection instability or requests timing out.

Step 2 – Make sure that you are using as well as entering the right login information. Some of our customers have tried using their old passwords and failed. If you can, you can also opt to view your passwords as you type it. However, you should check if anyone is around to see your credentials.

Step 3 – If you have uppercase letters in your passwords, be sure to punch them in at the right place. If all the letters in your passwords are in uppercase, check if you’re using CAPS LOCK.

Step 4 – If the former steps do not help, it is likely that there are cookies in your cache preventing you from logging in. Here is a guide on how to clear your cache on your browser.

Step 5 – The website might be on the list of restricted sites in your region. You can check it with your Virtual Private Network (VPN) and consider switching your server to another country if you have the option to. If that does not work either, you can switch off VPN completely.

Step 6 – In case you forget your passwords, here are the instructions to follow to regain it .

Step 7 – If nothing else works, please contact us via our mailbox or our phone number. We will be honored to help you with any problems you run into.

If you visit any Quora discussion by clicking links shared on any social networking site, then you’ll notice that Quora locks content by blurring it. You can only be able to see first answer without blocking or without blurring the content. To view all other answers you need to sign in or Sign up to their site by using your Google or Facebook account.

This is really one of the annoying thing which is getting popular these days on Internet. To view something on webpage, you need to take some action to unlock that content. This action may include-sign in, sign up, sharing on social networking site or any other such tasks. Quora also comes to the same website list.

Not all users are ready to sign up to all the sites that they have visited. The reason might be different for different people. For example, The user may don’t have an account with Google or Facebook or he is using public PC, and he don’t wish login to their account on it. That time you’ll need to unlock content without taking any action.

Quora is one of the popular website these days, and many visitors visits that websites on a daily basis. I’m sure at least few thousands of people will face such problem daily. If you are one of them, then here is a solution for it.

Video Guide:

Skip Sign in or Sign Up to Quora:

If you visit Quora for the first time, then you’ll notice a login or sign up pop up box. But you can remove this by tapping outside this pop up box or by click on the Close & Read First Answer link which appears at the bottom of the alert box. Most of the visitors don’t even notice that small text.

How to see all answers on quora and bypass their obnoxious login

Once you skip login or sign up step on Quora, you are allowed to read only first answer. And all other answers are blurred out so that you cannot read those content unless you log in to Quora account.

View Blurred Content on Quora without signing in:

Quora officially gives users to unblur all the content without doing any sign up or sign in process. All you need to do is, you just need to add small text to the URL address that you need to unblur the content.

For example: If you wish to read all the answers on http://www.quora.com/I-am-passionate-about-almost-nothing-I-dont-have-an-aim-in-life-I-am-from-one-of-the-IITs-Is-it-okay this link, then add “?share=1” at the end of the URL address to unblur the blurred content.

The unblur URL will looks like,

Quora Unblocker-Chrome Extension

The above step is a manual process. If you visit quora again and again, then there is a Google chrome extension to do this task. Just install Quora unblocker to add “?Share=1” to Quora URL or to unblock blocked content on Quora.

What this extension will do is, it just unblocks/unblur all the content on the Quora website without signing into any account.

How to see all answers on quora and bypass their obnoxious login

Quora is a great community for asking and answering the questions. One can ask question of any category or topic and other members of community answer the question. Users can also collaborate by suggesting edits to the submitted answers to improve the answer. The answers can be upvoted by the members to indicate as the best answer.

The answers on the Quora are publicly available, but it has implemented limitation to read the answer. If a user read one question post and try to view another question, Quora asks the user to log in. Maybe this is one of their strategies to increase the community but it may not be pleasant for everyone. The viewer may not want to signup or login to read only the answers which are publicly available. Similar communities like StackOverflow and Stack Exchange let the viewer read the answers without restriction but Quora decided to be different by forcing the viewer to log in for reading the answers.

For those who find this unpleasant, it can be successfully bypassed using the following methods.

1. Using Cookie Method

This is the best method if you want a permanent solution to read answers on Quora without logging in. Quora uses cookies in order to track if you have previously read any questions on its site. If it finds the cookie then, it throws the login popup else you can continue reading on. So blocking quora to create the cookie get the job done. Follow these steps to block cookies of Quora in Google Chrome:

Click on the three dotted vertical button at the top right corner and click on settings.

Inside Content settings, click on Cookies.

Now find the Block section and click on ADD

Now in the textbox under Site, add https://www.quora.com and click on ADD.

After clicking ADD, the site is visible inside the Block section as in the image below.

Now you can use Quora without logging in and this setting is persistent until you clear it. If you want to allow the cookies in future, you can follow the same method and remove the site from Blocked section under Cookies in the Content settings.

2. Pasting the URL in Incognito Mode

It works similarly as the previous solution as Quora cannot find any cookies related to it in the Incognito mode. This method may be handy if you are using Quora on mobile devices or if your browser does not support disabling cookie for the specific site. Also, this solution is preferred if you sometimes log in to the quora to upvote the answer or answer the question. Here is how to do it.

Copy the URL of question you want to read.

Open an Incognito window and paste the URL into the URL bar.

This way you can read the post without logging in and without the disabling the cookies for Quora.

3. Adding ?share=1 at the end of URL

Another method that lets you read the answer in Quora without signing in is adding ?share=1 at the end of the URL. Following image shows how to do it:

With these steps, you can read posts on Quora without logging in. Are you happy with the login prompt to read publicly available answers in Quora? Share your opinion in the comment section.

Quora needs to be removed from search results like Expertsexchange for this silly bait and switch. Having a web 2.0 styling (as Quora does) is not an acceptable excuse.

I might not be Joels biggest fan, but at least he has his head on straight when dealing with visitors to Stack. Here’s his finest work (Google tech talk regarding Stackoverflow how and why – long, but good):

Search engines need a system of collectively flagging sites like Quora, so I, and everybody else, would never see it in their results ever again. This is the only way they’ll learn.

And the real kicker is it only turns up when I have an urgent tech problem.

What conditions lead to this bait and switch? I tried logging out of Quora, and even using a different browser. Google results that lead to Quora answers lead to a full answer when clicking through, even if I’m not logged in and don’t have any cookies established from Quora.

Different / creative ways to bypass the blur filter. Quora does suck. Their content isn’t so invaluable that we should have to sign up to see it. Another site that is more hastle than helpful is StackOverflow. Most are more interested in appearing correct, clever unhelpful remarks, instead of actually answering the effn question. I can’t count how many times I’ve asked a very detailed question there that got responses that were anything but the actual answer needed. Hopefully some alternative sites pop up to compete vs these broken, overhyped sites.

George, I agree. It looks like Quora has now changed their blur filter so the ctrl+A trick no longer works. I’m surprised Google is doing nothing to fight this.

Stackoverflow. My best tip is to keep your question simple, breaking the question into parts is also a good idea. Stackoverflow users, like Redditors, just don’t like to read.

“And the real kicker is it only turns up when I have an urgent tech problem.

Quora has become a popular question and answer site, and chances are you might have stumbled upon it either via search results on Google, or via your social networks. But one of the most annoying things about Quora is that it requires users to log in to read the answer and browse the site. Well, it won’t be a surprise if many users simply close the site instead of taking the effort to sign in just to read a single answer.

Perhaps Quora should learn something from sites like Stackoverflow, Stack Exchange and Yahoo Answers who do not require users to log in to read the answer. For some reason, Quora, not learning from these other popular question and answer sites, requires users to sign in with either a Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) (NASDAQ:GOOGL) or Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) account to read the first answer. This is a fine example of a terrible user interface.

So now, let’s stop complaining and learn how to bypass this issue, and read answers on Quora without signing in.

Writer at Quartz India

Indians have a really bad reputation when it comes to air travel.

So much so that when an Emirates flight from the southern state of Kerala made a hard landing in Dubai last month, an ex-flight attendant had no qualms referring to the panicked passengers as “fucking rats” and an “untameable bunch” as videos emerged of them rushing to grab their belongings in the midst of the emergency.

The post was slammed for its racist and insensitive undertones. But for frequent flyers from India, disgruntled or even disgusted flight attendants are nothing new. What’s behind the negative attitude? Quora has the answers.

Not used to the jet-set life

Many Indian passengers who take flights, notably to the Middle East, are first-time travellers from socio-economic classes that have little exposure to the jet-set life.

As Quora user Maazin Buhari puts it,

“A lot of the time, (on flights to the Middle East especially), the passengers on board these flights will be migrant workers who are travelling to earn a livelihood in the city they are flying to. Often they are of a lower socio-economic background, will be carrying all or a significant amount of their possessions with them, and are not used to frequent air travel.”

That explains the rush to grab belongings as soon as the flight lands, despite instructions to stay seated until the seatbelt sign is switched off.

Often, these passengers aren’t used to the in-flight behavioral norms that are mostly western. Quora user Sri Ka notes:

“For example, practically no Indian uses cutlery at home—they eat with their fingers—but the flights are not suitable for such a lifestyle as they are not designed with sufficient hand-wash facilities so one is forced awkwardly to eat with cutlery, that too the plastic ones. It is quite difficult. Similarly, the toilets in the flights are nowhere near like the toilets in Indian homes and many Indians, particularly first-timers, do not even know how to use paper instead of water. When people are forced to do something unnatural for them, they are likely to fumble and make a mess.”

But it’s also about civic sense

The first-timers can and should be forgiven but even among regular travellers, inconsiderate behaviour is common.

Supreeth Shankarghal, who describes himself as a frequent flier and aviation enthusiast, lists some of the worst offenses Indians are known for:

  • Being adamant about placing their overweight hand baggage in the overhead bin of only their preference.
  • Stealing cutlery.
  • Stealing headphones and blankets.
  • Not switching off the phone during take-offs or landings despite warnings.
  • Taking selfies and pictures inside the flight when asked not to do so.
  • Not making way or getting up from the seat for fellow passengers.
  • Reclining the seat even during take-offs and landings.
  • Not speaking proper English.
  • Ogling at air hostesses and other female passengers.
  • Moving up and down the aircraft many times.
  • Requesting for unnecessary seat changes.
  • Getting up and going to the toilet when seatbelt sign is on.
  • Removing seat-belts and getting up to remove overhead baggage when the aircraft is still taxiing.
  • Over-abuse of free alcohol served on board.

While it is a bit unfair to refer to poor English skills as inconsiderate behaviour, the consumption of a copious amount of alcohol does seem to be a big problem. For some passengers, the chance to gulp down one whisky after another during international flights proves irresistible and untoward incidents ensue.

Entitled passengers are the worst

But despite all of the above, it’s the rude and entitled regular travelers that pose the biggest problem with their assumption that the cabin crew exists to serve them and them alone.

Flight attendant and Quora user Buzzlair Voufincci noted that some travellers are quick to claim a higher status on every flight.

“They would explicitly say to the flight attendant, ‘I am a doctor’ to get treatment above all the others on board,” he wrote, adding that some even said things like “I know your CEO personally” or even “I pay for the seat, and the compartment above me, it’s my space.”

For Voufincci, it’s India’s “huge income gap” that leads to this “inflated ego.”

Some responses have been mildly edited for grammar.

Question-and-answer website Quora has been hacked, with the names and email addresses of 100 million users compromised.

The breach also included encrypted passwords, and questions people had asked.

In a statement, Quora said the situation had been “contained”.

Last week, hotel chain Marriott admitted that personal information on up to 500 million guests had been stolen.

“We recently became aware that some user data was compromised due to unauthorised access to our systems by a malicious third party,” it began.

“We have engaged leading digital forensic and security experts and launched an investigation, which is ongoing. We have notified law enforcement officials.”

It said it was also in the process of notifying all affected customers and reassured them that it was “highly unlikely” that the incident would lead to identity theft “as we do not collect sensitive information like credit card or social security numbers”.

Security expert Troy Hunt was one of those affected. He tweeted: “Short of not using online services at all, there’s simply nothing you can do to ‘not’ be in a breach, there’s only things you can do to minimise the impact when it inevitably happens.”

And I’m in another data breach. I just got “the email” from @Quora. Short of not using online services at all, there’s simply nothing you can do to *not* be in a breach, there’s only things you can do to minimise the impact when it inevitably happens. pic.twitter.com/MU2Zn4OADh

Users were asked to reset their password and will be prompted to do so when they next try to log in. Those wishing to delete their account can do so in the settings section and the deactivation will happen immediately.

Some users commented on Twitter that they had forgotten they used the service.

One tweeted: “Nothing like a data breach to remind me that I have a Quora account.”

How to see all answers on quora and bypass their obnoxious login

Quora is a simple question and answer website built to gain and share knowledge. It allows people to ask, answer and follow questions. In recent years the popularity of Quora has increased subsequently because of high-quality answers and opinions.

Quora has no subscription or membership fee and allows users to access the website for free. But, the user must create an account or log in to gain access to the content on Quora. Creating an account is simple and easy. You will need a valid email to create an account, or you can Sign-in with Facebook as well.

Why and when to bypass Quora login?

Quora is available to all users, and you can read answers for free, but it has a limitation. A user can read answers to only one question without login. In a way, Quora forces users to log in if they want to access more (I guess it’s their business strategy to increase users).

Sometimes Quora login prompt can be irritating. For example, you were doing a google search on your phone and clicked on a search result, taking you to “quora.com/…”. You can not access that page (if you have already used quora.com before) until you Log in or Sign-up.

Computer Ethics

Ethics deals with placing a “value” on acts according to whether they are “good” or “bad”. Every society has its rules about whether certain acts are ethical or not. These rules have been established as a result of consensus in society and are often written into laws.

When computers first began to be used in society at large, the absence of ethical standards about their use and related issues caused some problems. However, as their use became widespread in every facet of our lives, discussions in computer ethics resulted in some kind of a consensus. Today, many of these rules have been formulated as laws, either national or international. Computer crimes and computer fraud are now common terms. There are laws against them, and everyone is responsible for knowing what constitutes computer crime and computer fraud.

The Ten Commandments of computer ethics have been defined by the Computer Ethics Institute. Here is our interpretation of them:

1) Thou shalt not use a computer to harm other people: If it is unethical to harm people by making a bomb, for example, it is equally bad to write a program that handles the timing of the bomb. Or, to put it more simply, if it is bad to steal and destroy other people’s books and notebooks, it is equally bad to access and destroy their files.

2) Thou shalt not interfere with other people’s computer work: Computer viruses are small programs that disrupt other people’s computer work by destroying their files, taking huge amounts of computer time or memory, or by simply displaying annoying messages. Generating and consciously spreading computer viruses is unethical.

3) Thou shalt not snoop around in other people’s files: Reading other people’s e-mail messages is as bad as opening and reading their letters: This is invading their privacy. Obtaining other people’s non-public files should be judged the same way as breaking into their rooms and stealing their documents. Text documents on the Internet may be protected by encryption.

4) Thou shalt not use a computer to steal: Using a computer to break into the accounts of a company or a bank and transferring money should be judged the same way as robbery. It is illegal and there are strict laws against it.

5) Thou shalt not use a computer to bear false witness: The Internet can spread untruth as fast as it can spread truth. Putting out false “information” to the world is bad. For instance, spreading false rumors about a person or false propaganda about historical events is wrong.

7) Thou shalt not use other people’s computer resources without authorization: Multiuser systems use user id’s and passwords to enforce their memory and time allocations, and to safeguard information. You should not try to bypass this authorization system. Hacking a system to break and bypass the authorization is unethical.

9) Thou shalt think about the social consequences of the program you write: You have to think about computer issues in a more general social framework: Can the program you write be used in a way that is harmful to society? For example, if you are working for an animation house, and are producing animated films for children, you are responsible for their contents. Do the animations include scenes that can be harmful to children? In the United States, the Communications Decency Act was an attempt by lawmakers to ban certain types of content from Internet websites to protect young children from harmful material. That law was struck down because it violated the free speech principles in that country’s constitution. The discussion, of course, is going on.

10) Thou shalt use a computer in ways that show consideration and respect: Just like public buses or banks, people using computer communications systems may find themselves in situations where there is some form of queuing and you have to wait for your turn and generally be nice to other people in the environment. The fact that you cannot see the people you are interacting with does not mean that you can be rude to them.

The recently released Quora app for Android lets users engage with the popular question-and-answer platform while on the go. Different from a typical Google search or a Google Now query, a Quora question is posed directly to a large community of users for their personal feedback. Think of it like a Yahoo Answers forum, but with more of a focus on responses by professionals and experts in specific fields. There’s even a sort of gaming element involved, which lets you earn and spend Quora credits based on your activity.

Quora

The Good

The Bad

The Bottom Line

When it comes to the look and feel of the app, Quora for Android is impressive. The color scheme is inviting, and the navigation bar at the top offers smooth controls. To zip around, you can either use the tabs or swipe left and right between pages. And from your Home feed, you can arrange content by Top or Recent stories. There’s also an ever-present Search button on the top-right corner, which puts new questions and answers just a quick tap away. Finally, there’s a built-in widget for your Android Home screen, which offers quick access to top Quora answers. Unfortunately though, there are no customizable widget settings.

One thing worth noting is that Quora does not offer a tablet-optimized version of its Android app. This means your Galaxy Tab or Google Nexus 7 will just get a blown-up version of the phone app, which isn’t terrible, but also isn’t ideal.

Quora for Android lets you get your Q&A fix on the go (pictures)

More than just an app for lurkers, Quora for Android also offers quite a few tools for engaging with the community while on the go. You can add comments and answers, message friends, edit your profile, follow, share, upvote, and perform most of the other basic actions you can on the Web site. There are also push notifications, so you can stay on top of items you’re following. And when it comes to posting, the app lets you embed pictures (from either your gallery or camera) right into your posts. One thing that is a bit confusing, though, is the procedure for adding new questions. As it is now, the app adds questions only through the search button, which isn’t exactly intuitive. Meanwhile, the full Web site features a prominent Write button at the top of the screen.

Probably the best thing about the Quora app is its ability to integrate with your device’s native Android search function. This means that when you start typing a query in your Google search bar, you get instant search results from Quora as well as other sources. If you don’t feel like typing, you can also search Quora using the Android voice search, which is nice. And if there are no existing posts on Quora that match your query, you can start a new question with a single tap, right from that search box.

Overall, I’m impressed with version 1.0 of Quora for Android. It’s sleek and offers much of the functionality that can be found on the full Web site.

Quora.com is a community-based QnA site just like Yahoo Answers and Stackexchange. If you search for anything in Google search, you will most frequently notice search suggestion appearing from quora in the search results. The reason for quora being the most popular is that it has a vast community of experienced Tech-Columnist and blogger and also it has got more appealing User Interface and better community design better than any other QnA site. But it only shows its first answer on question’s page and then blurred the answers for non-registered users. It then asks the user to sign up to read all the answers.

Here are a few ways by which you can bypass their login and read all the answers:-

Using Extensions-

If you are browsing Quora.com from chrome or firefox, you can block their obnoxious login popup by using extensions:-
